Shiraz Grille Ratings and Reviews
Shiraz has been one of our favorite restaurants for several years. The food is incredibly flavorful and they have a good wine list. Prices are about the same as a higher-end chain restaurant but Shiraz is so much nicer. If you like Indian or Mediterranean cuisine, this will be a wonderful change-up for you. Wedding rice is a delicious upgrade. The desserts menu is not extensive but authentic. Baklava is delicious. The Persian Ice Cream is homemade, light and fantastic! Almost everything is gluten free by nature of the cuisine. Many veggie dishes as well. We take our friends here whenever we get the chance.
My husband and I made a reservation at Shiraz for our anniversary. We had read about Shiraz online and we were looking for a place that served unique cuisine. We sure hit the mark! The food was outstanding! The service was great and the restaurant was clean and quiet. We both would highly recommend this restaurant.
Another outstanding Sunday lunch with friends. The food selection in the buffet is diverse and so delicious, and the price ($20) simply can't be beat. There is always a nice vibe in the place and the owner is so gracious when he sees us. Can't recommend this place highly enough for the authentic food, relaxing atmosphere, and great value.
This is the only Persian restaurant in West Michigan, and it is excellent in all respects. Each dish was unique and slow cooked. The spices were perfect. I had the lamb shank, which was outstanding. So tender. Good and well priced wine list. This is a unique and very high quality restaurant.
This is one of our favorite restaurants! It was first on our list for New Year's Eve. It's formal...but not too formal. Entree prices are reasonable, especially for lunch. If you've never had Persian food, it's a little like Indian cuisine but has many unique dishes and flavors. You'll find some old family recipes being served. The kabobs are all excellent. The rack of lamb...perfect. Always upgrade to the wedding rice--well worth it. The baklava is fantastic. And their homemade ice cream is delicious and light...you've never tasted anything like it before! The wine list is not big but above average. There have been some negative comments about the service and I have occasionally experienced longer waits for food than I would have expected. On the other hand, this is a family restaurant, it runs "lean" and new servers have a long learning curve with the menu. It's also not fast food, so take your time, enjoy the surroundings and the food. On NYE, we had Madison as our server and she was bright, cheerful and attentive. They also have a banquet room. Give it a try and it may become one of your "faves" too.
We were looking for good Middle Easter/Persian and hadn't found much. Shiraz fits the bill. Nice dining area, excellent service and the food is on point. The mains are great but be sure to upgrade to a specialty rice which would put any dish over the top. We will be going back often.
My husband and I recently dined at Shiraz for our wedding anniversary and we enjoyed it very much. Amelia was our waitress and she took very good care of us, even helping with our drink and dinner selection to make sure we would have a pleasant experience. We loved everything we tried and the atmosphere was lovely. We will definitely be returning!
Open Table we made reservation for 7:00PM. When we got there we advised we had a reservation but they stated they had filled up all the tables and for us to go to bar area to wait to be seated. They said 15 minutes but we didn't get seated until 7:40. We then waiting for a server for 15 more minutes and then had to go request some service. Very very poor in the service area. Food was OK. Would not recommend this place to anyone I know.
Shiraz is our "go to" restaurant. It is a small and quiet dining experience with excellent Persian cuisine. Appetizers are all predictably high quality and the soups are excellent. We've had most of the main courses and have yet to be disappointed. Desserts, when you have room are very nice... the baklava is pistachio and highly recommended. The service is low key but efficient. Don't expect haute cuisine but the value is excellent in a quiet "neighborhood setting".
As always food was delicious. On the other hand, service was terrible this visit. What happened to all the regular servers? Didn't see one familiar face. I asked about a certain wine on the menu and expressed that I did not like sweet wine. I was assured that the selection was not sweet so went ahead and ordered it. The wine was so sweet I could not drink it, but server didn't seem to notice. I think a good server would have noticed and offered to replace it. She ignored us for most of our visit and there was only one other table occupied at the time of our visit. Will most likely look for new go-to restaurant.
The food was absolutely amazing, the drinks, not so much. The only thing was missing were the people? On a friday night, they weren't very busy, so it was a little awkward, only being one of four tables in the restaurant. The appetizer selection was a little limited for my taste, but they had a very good vegetarian selection!
