Saint Jacques French Cuisine Ratings and Reviews
Great experience all around. The service was exceptional. I took my wife there on a date night because we wanted to try something different than just another steak house. She was very happy with this selection and we will definitely be making a trip back. Not sure of our servers name but he really made it a great experience and the chef even visited our table a couple times to check on us and make sure our dining experience was all that it could be. From the appetizers to the entrees to the dessert the food was amazing.
We've had the good fortune to go to some very good restaurants in Savannah and Vail recently. Saint Jacques was as good, if not better, than any of them. The sweetbreads, pate, short ribs, mussels and the chocolate mouse were all wonderful. Every bite, including the bread, was excellent. The service matched the food. They also never hurried us along. Everything was well paced. The restaurant is in a strip mall but you don't feel that once you enter. Our son and daughter-in-law had highly recommended Saint Jacques. It is their favorite restaurant. We can now see why. It is a special experience from beginning to end. And their thyme old fashioned was the best old fashioned I have ever had!
I took my boyfriend here for his birthday and we were both very impressed. The waitstaff was incredible and the chef came out to speak with us about the food. Even the complementary palate cleansers and bread were delicious. I cannot say enough about the food- it was incredible. My boyfriend got the Filet Mignon and it was perfectly cooked. I got the roasted salmon and the flavor was incredible. The goat cheese crustine appetizer was amazing too! They labeled the dessert plate "happy birthday" in French and lit a candle. It was very romantic and thoughtful.
I had this restaurant of my list to visit for years. Finally, was able to celebrate a friend's birthday there. It was excellent - loved every bit of being there. Service is impeccable - all servers pitch in on every table - they are there to be sure you have what you need or want. The food was outstanding. The Chef brought out a little taste of a sweet/savory, creamy duck-flavored pate to have your taste buds explode - it was delicious. We both ordered a nice dinner salad, one with blue cheese crumbles, the other with goat cheese crumbles, delicious. Before your dinner, they bring a bit of sorbet to cleanse the palate. One of us had Black Bass, and the other had Scallops in a puff pastry, both outstanding. Then for dessert, "profiteroles," and since it was a birthday celebration, they wrote "Joyous Anniversary" on the plate in chocolate - a nice touch . I was impressed with the service and the food. I will definitely go back again.
We celebrated an anniversary and really enjoyed our meal. Everything was absolutely terrific. The chef and wait staff were amazing and very friendly. Every course was something to savor. We plan to make this a more regular place we go. Save room to try some of the deserts if you go.
The food was amazing! Best French food I've had in years, which is saying something since my husband and I are foodies from New Orleans. We loved the frog's legs, the Coquille St. Jacque, the short ribs, and the duck. Really, we just liked everything we tasted.
Came here for the first time in a year or two for wife's birthday and Saint Jacques was as good as ever. Fantastic and creative food with fresh, local ingredients and incredibly attentive service (without being overbearing) made for a great experience. Can't recommend highly enough.
I could not have picked a finer restaurant! Both the chef and the wait staff were top notch and we received exceptional service from start to finish. The food was divine with rich flavors and perfect seasoning. Thank you Saint Jacques for an excellent evening and a picture perfect memory!
We lived in Paris for two years, and eating here made us feel that we were back in the City of Light. The waiter spoke beautiful French and English, he knew the cuisine and his wine recommendations were informed and accurate. Since we were there on a weekday, the chef had the time to stop by our table and talk about the food. All in all a great evening.
