Food was OK, but not that of a top-notch restaurant. I ordered a pasta dish with Italian sausage and the sauce was watery and the sausage seemed to have been reheated in a microwave, not recently grilled. Server was very personable but showed us the right amount of attention.
Mancy's Italian Grill was the experience I have come to expect from the Mancy's name in the Toledo area. Excellent food, ambiance and service. While the original Mancy's Steakhouse has much more ornate decor, Mancy's Italian Grill had the advantage of a live band playing romantic tunes. My fiancee was very pleased!
Took my mother to Mancy's Italian for Mothers Day and we had the best time. The wine list was great, the server was fun and informative. My father and I had the prime rib, very good, tender and a nice portion. My mother had the halibut, I tried it and it may be the best thing on the menue! If you have never been to Mancy's Italian, your missing out on one of the best places in Toledo!
Mancys Italian is the restuarant we pick for any special occasion or jus because. Once again we had a wonderful evening. The food was wonderful. My husband enjoyed the swordfish and thought it was cooked to perfection. The Vesuvio is always a wonderful choice. Thanks Mancys for another wonderful evening.
My husband and I were celebrating our 40th anniversary. We decided to try Mancy's because we had a gift card from a friend. After dining there, we decided that we will definitely go back with or without a gift card. The food we had was very good along with very good service. An outstanding wine menu. The restaurant had a very open feel and relaxed atmosphere. Thank you Mancys for a very special night out.
Arrived for a 430pm graduation dinner on a Saturday. We were seated promptly and the wait staff was attentive. Started with bruschetta and the bread with seasoned olive oil. Each course came out and was served right when you would want it. The monk fish chef special was delicious as was the pasta diavolo. The only glitch in terms of the food was that my son ordered his 14oz New York strip rare and it came out well done. The Mancy's also own a steakhouse so this was surprising. Our waitress could tell by looking it was over cooked but had us cut into it anyway. The plate was whisked away and a new rare steak arrived shortly thereafter. The floor manager came by shortly after to assure we were satisfied. We stayed for dessert and coffee.
Always been one my favorite spots to eat whether for a special occasion or just for great tasting food. The food is very consistently good and the service has also been great with explanations of any questions on the menu or even substitutions. It's also very convenient for us.
We have eaten at Mancy steak house for decades and they stopped selling a fish dish that one of my group loved in the past. This year we decided to go to the Italian Grill as they now sell it. The waitress was not timely in coming back to our table, the people who brought out the food forgot one persons soup and she didn't stop by to check on the food until anger person found sand, yes sand in his seafood dish. They didn't remove it from the bill but competed desert to two guests. My steak was over cooked but tender. We will not return to the Grill but will go back to the Steak house location. I saw the mixed reviews after we retuned home, had in read them we more than likely would not have gone. Three of the five of us were disappointed.
The food was excellent. We had a melted cheese fontana dip with flatbread and apples that everyone seemed to enjoy. The eggplant frittle tasted more like eggplant parmesean but it was still good. The porterhouse pork chop was HUGE. Fettuchini Alfredo and 3 cheese Ravioli were very good. The house salad is always a favorite. The large sirloin was very very tasty, and we changed the sides to the red skin potatoes which were also very good, although this dinner was quite a bit on the pricey side in my opinion. We did not order desert. We arrived promptly at 4:00 PM and the doors had not been opened until a few minutes after that which left us in the cold for a few moments. Once we got in the restaurant the hostess staff was rather unfriendly.
We had reservations for 6 last Saturday night. Our table was ready promptly at 7:30PM. Everything was amazing. The quality of food, the atmosphere, the drinks were tip top, cheers to the bartender that night. The only complaint we had for that evening was the service. Our waitress was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu, however, it took roughly 10-15 minutes before we even got to place our drink order. After our drinks had arrived we had waited around 20 more minutes to place our order. About, I'd say, an hour and 15 minutes worth of our evening was waiting on drinks, food, or for the waitress to just arrive so we could place another drink order. We wouldn't even see her on the floor while waiting. Other than that, great place!
It was a very romantic place for Valentines Day. My husband and I enjoyed our time together. We were there for almost 2 hours. It would have been fine had we not had a babysitter at home and paying her hourly. Our service was a little to be desired. Our waiter was not attentive and he was extremely slow.. Although the food was good, it wasn't anything to write home about. My orzo was a little bland. It was a little disappointing since we've heard rave reviews about Mancy's restaurants.
Food was just blah. If we had not had a gift card I would have been upset to pay so much for such mediocre dishes. It's not that there was anything wrong with it, it just wasn't very good. Plus, the tiramisu was tasteless. If you want good Italian, go elsewhere. If you want a good Mancy's restaurant, try Shorty's.
I've been to both Mancy's Steaks and blue water grill but never Mancy's Italian. I had to "settle" for the Italian due to the others being booked for valentine's day. I was quite impressed with the food, service, promptness, and overall experience, not to mention the very reasonable pricing. I'd definitely go back.
Made reservations through phone app, arrived 5 minutes early & had to wait 15 minutes. Very nice food, starting with the well-educated waiter with good suggestions. Fontina cheese & flat bread - solid appetizer, followed by house salad (Sweet vinaigrette went well with bacon & cheese on salad & cheese/apple appetizer), Fresh bread & Oil that followed would have been nice for conversation except restaurant was loud & we had to keep leaning in to hear each other speak. Perch was very good and steak was melt-in your mouth tender & cooked just right as requested. Price-wise, on a scale of 1 - 10 (1 being cheap and 10 being expensive) I would put this at an 8 (dinner for 2 was $71): but you get what you pay for and the food was very good.
While the menu isn't lengthy, the available items are delicious, and we have tried many of them over the years. The pizza, lasagna, and steak and Bibb salad are particularly mouth-watering. You won't get out of here quickly, but that's part of the "dining experience." The servers are generally kind and attentive (although sometimes a bit slow). Overall a great place to eat, especially for a date night or group outing.
