Fork Ratings and Reviews
This was my second visit to Fork. The first time my husband and I went for date night on a Monday night. The food was delicious, the place was low key, & the service was great! We decided it would be a great place to celebrate our brother in law's birthday when he and the family came in from out of town. On our second visit (for the birthday), we had a reservation at 6:00pm on a Monday night for 6 adults & a child. They placed us in a room with a large party (25-30 people). The service was slow and inattentive. It took an hour to get our food & the child's plate from the kids menu was spicy! (Not good for a two year old- he actually cried on his second bite.) The quality of the food was not such that it could justify the other unfortunate aspects of the evening. We still love Fork, but we really hoped it could have lived up to its reputation and our previous experience for such a special occasion.
First time going here. We had Mike as our waiter, he was very polite helpful and great. The place was very nice and the food was amazing. We tried the friend asparagus and Brussel sprouts those two were amazing and the grilled cheese fondue excellent. Those alone filled us up but we shared a urban burger. What a great burger and the bunch was delicious. We ended the night with their gluten free chocolate brownie ooooooo so good . This place will be revisited on a regular basis. It is a bit more on the $$$ but we'll worth it.
I've been to Fork numerous times, so I'm hoping my visit last Sunday was just an off-day for them. Made a reservation for 10:30 a.m., was seated in the side room where they were setting up for what appeared to be a large baby shower. We decided to relocate to the bar. The service at the bar was sub par at best. We had to ask numerous times for water/coffee refills. I ordered the asparagus fries and the chicken waffle sliders. The bartender told me 15 mins. later that the kitchen was having issues with the asparagus. I indicated that I would just wait for my entree. It took a while to receive our dishes. My friend's meal was warm, but my sliders were stone cold. I was told that the shredded cheese was not meant to be melted. I received a new plate, the chicken was slightly warmer, but was dry and tasteless. I am a little confused about the concept of this dish. It was difficult to eat/enjoy the cheese as part of the sliders. I ended up scooping up the shredded cheese with my fork which was weird.
Again, I'm hoping this was just a hiccup in Fork's normally adequate service/food.
Loved the Brussel sprouts appetizer and the martinis, but the voodoo chicken was flavorless and the artichoke mushroom ravioli was just wrong. Not good mix of flavors with sunflower seeds in there ?! Ravioli was just plain bad. And I can make better chicken at home. Nothing voodoo or spicy about it as the name would suggest. Service great...drink great....nachos looked good. ...prime rib looked raw and people were avoiding the pinkest parts
The food was so fresh, hot and perfectly prepared. For such an in-demand restaurant, I was so impressed at how kid-friendly the staff was from a cup with lid and straw to coloring book, crayons, and miniature animals. Our two-year-old granddaughter was content for an hour and a half while we all enjoyed an amazing meal! !
We had the filet and it was thin and covered with canned-like mushroom gravy. Very low quality. Salad was plain but dessert of butter cake and caramel bread pudding was delicious. Wanted the ribs but they ate only served on Monday. Altogether disappointing.
We visited Fork for as an early birthday celebration for my sister who was visiting from California. My other sister was also present; from Rhode Island, and we were hoping to show everyone a good time. Adam was our server and he was incredible! He was knowledgeable about the food, the wine, the beer etc. We loved our meals, loved the feel, and really overall just enjoyed our experience. Thank you!
Really great experience for my mom's 75th birthday. The shrimp appetizer was outstanding. Specialty cocktails were great (Fork Lemonade and Mon-Ida Mule), as was the local beer and northwest wine. House salads were fresh with tasty dressing. The short ribs were amazing (as always). The crispy king salmon was great, though the portion was small for the price. The pork loin is a new favorite - best brussel sprouts I've had. Amazing butter cake dessert. Coffee good as usual. Service was friendly and helpful. We really appreciated the experience.
I met a friend for lunch and we both really enjoyed our meals. The tomato bisque fondue and grilled cheese that I ordered was wonderful. My friend ordered the trout salad, which she really enjoyed. Our server was friendly and attentive. We both enjoyed our experience at Fork.
This was our fist time to The Fork. We made a reservation. The male host wasn't extremely friendly, nor did he make much eye contact. We were seated in a nice booth. The ambience of the restaurant was very nice. It was bright with large arched windows and the booth was very nice and comfortable. Our server was attentive and friendly. However after our food was delivered, she never came back and asked how the food was until we were about done. I ordered the VooDoo Chicken. It was extremely salty. Had she returned, I would have had the server take it back. I tried to eat some and had my daughter's taste it. They thought the same thing-salty. My husband had the basic ham and cheese hot sandwich. It was nothing special. My daughter's order the 8oz filet. Again, okay in taste, but nothing spectacular. I was expecting more from the reviews, but wasn't very impressed with the food.
I was a little disappointed because there were no vegan options . Fork came up in my search as a healthy restaurant, so I assumed there would be something for a vegan to eat other than salad or a side vegetable. One person I was with had trout with kale and asparagus. The fish was delicious, but the kale was so salty and the asparagus was not fully cooked. We did like the atmosphere and I would try it again if there were something more for a vegan to eat
Always great service. Food excellent with the exception of the bam Sammy. I requested crispy bacon - because when I previously ordered it the bacon was undercooked. Still not cooked through( as I like it ..crispy) that part of the dining experience was a disappointment! I ate my soup though.
We have eaten here as regulars ever since Fork opened several years ago. The food is always top quality and the service impeccable. On New Years Eve however, it was a different story. The flank steak my husband ordered was overcooked, to the point of being tough, and my chicken dish was overcooked and dry. Our service was wonderful as usual. But am wondering if this was a one-time occurrence, or the start of the quality going downhill. We will think twice before choosing Fork in the future. And it has been our go-to for years. Disappointing and saddened.
As always, the food was great and they are able to accommodate my gluten allergy. The servers are well versed in gluten issues and always seem to be smiling! Most of the room has a wood floor and can be noisy at times. Room is full of characteristics. All in all, a nice experience!
