I recently re-located from San Francisco and was thrilled to find the restaurant was here in San Diego only 15 minutes from my house! The same superb service was available! It was like coming home! My only desire is that the restaurant play Brazilian music all day long. I missed hearing the soft sounds and rhythms of Brazil during my meal! Never fear! I'll be back many times!

I love dining here whenever my family gets the opportunity. However the price is steep and so we don't come as often as I would like. Their sides are just as amazing as their meat selection. The only thing that can be improve is getting a bigger stomach to consume more food.

That night the food seemed off. The flavor was t really there. Rei de gado tasted better. Fogo usually tastes better with lots of flavor but it was off. Maybe because it was a Tuesday. Staff was awesome. Very friendly. Not sure if I'll ever do dinner there anymore.

I took my wife and daughter to this location for my birthday as they had never eaten here before. They were very happy and talked about how good it was all evening. This made my day. I have eaten here several times for business meetings over the past seven years and looked forward to someday taking them. This past Sunday was my chance and it was a great success! Service and food was outstanding!!

This restaurant is the best Brazilian Steakhouse I have ever had in San Diego. The food was so tasty and abundant ! The service was almost better than the food. The staff was very attentive and would provide services before we even needed them. Water always full, new plates, drink orders always asked for before we had to, even asked if we had any special requests for some of the proteins we liked best. I would recommend Fogo de Chao to everyone ! Oh yea! the reason we were there was to celebrate my sons 18th B'day, he received a free dessert, anything on the menu. It was enough for all 3 of us and such a special touch I liked.

The waitress tried to hard to be funny and engaging. I felt uncomfortable. She was very insistent trying to give my date a plate when he said he didn't want one he was full. Also I say if you have issues with coworkers have a discussion off the floor where patrons can't hear. This was not just one incident more like three in the short time we were there. This is not a restaurant you go to if you want to have a conversation while you are eating its to noisy. The mixed drink was fantastic. When we were finished she wouldn't give us the check until we heard the after dinner drinks spel cart and all. I was disappointed it didn't turn out to be a special evening at all.

I have eaten here in the past however my husband was unable to join me. This past weekend on 10/8/16 we had dinner here. I bragged to him about the food and was sure he would love it. There was 6 of us that had a reservation and this was a $600 bill and the meat seemed flavorless and there were not as many different types of meat to try as we had dinner around 9:00. At the end of the night the salad bar was depleted and the servers kept bringing the same meats over and over. We don't splurge or treat ourselves frequently, so needless to say this was a real disappointment. To charge this amount of money for a Brazilian experience that we do not feel was provided was irritating to all of us. I never complain, but when we spend our hard earned money to treat ourselves to a nice night out, we felt disappointed to say the least.

The only negative thing I experienced was that even though I made a reservation, upon arrival the table was not ready and we still had to wait 45 minutes. I was not the only one to experience this, also they were letting in bigger groups that had arrived after us without reservations. Other than this everything was great.

Endless meat! As a birthday dinner, or any occasion, don't come too excited. Pace yourself and enjoy the taste of all the meat, chicken, pork, lamb, steak and even the open bar with pairing veggies. The service is beyond excellent from the waiters, services and bartenders at the bar as you wait. Highly recommend!

If you've never been to a Brazilian Restaurant, you're missing out. All of them command a premium, in Fogo de Chao's case, $50 per person, but it is worth every single penny. Between the excellent service, the array of meats, and the sheer quality of everything, every; single; penny.

I've been to another fogo de Chao in Vegas and it was far better than this. The sirloin was very tough. My partner had to spit it out because he couldn't get it down. I ended up leaving a rather large piece on my plate. I do not know if I would ever go back again. For 60 I would be able to get a steak at Donovan's and be much happier with my meal.

I took my husband and 6 family members during Restaurant Week to celebrate his birthday. What fun!! Everyone should try this restaurant at least once. The men will absolutely love it and so will the women. However the women will have so much fun watching the guys to add to the pleasure of their dining. Did I say fun as the next few days that is what we all talked about.
Lets not leave out the food as it was delicious. Being this is a lot of different meat I want to assure everyone that you do not have to worry if everything is going to be very rare. If you want medium or well all they have to do is turn the big skewer and cut it on a different side. I was amazed as we had people that do not like rare. This made them so happy!
All the sides were tasty and the salad buffet had so many interesting items. Service was great and not one grumpy waiter in sight

The salad bar was delicious as well as dessert. We were celebrating my dads birthday, and the actual meats took over 30 minutes to come out. This was the pork and chicken that were not exactly what we were looking forward to and desiring. At 45 -50 minutes into our salad meal, we asked if we could have someone with lamb or steak come to our table as our cards had been flipped to green on the table for a while now. Overall, none of us 5 felt like we enjoyed the meats as they were tough, delayed, and not worth the value.

We have eaten at Fogo several times and always enjoyed it. This time we went during restaurant week. We understood it was a limited menu and what we ate was fine. However, the usually good service was not so good. The gauchos rarely came around to our table and we seemed to get the same selections repeatedly. We will go back again, but not during restaurant week. The dessert was Delish!

I don't like how packed in everyone is! It makes it very hard to walk to the salad bar dogging the tables and men carrying sharp knives with a slab of meet. I went during restaurant week and would NOT be paying full price for this place! I did ask if the restaurant adds more seating during restaurant week but they informed me it's always this may tables.

I went here during restaurant week with my boyfriend. We are both meat lovers and have been to rei do gado (another Brazilian steakhouse) several times so we decided to try this place while they were offering their restaurant week special. We made a reservation and they were able to seat us even though we were 15 or 20 minutes early. The waitress asked what we would like to drink and we both said water. The waitress never returned with our waters and it took us 20 minutes to find someone to ask for water because no one was walking by our table even though we were seated in the middle of the room. Meanwhile the waiters and waitresses attended to all of the tables around us while ignoring us. When the meat came out, both my boyfriend and I were very disappointed. All of the meats we got were ridiculously chewy and I asked for everything medium rare! When meat is that rare it should be nice and tender. The top sirloin, bottom sirloin, lamb leg were all really chewy no matter how rare I asked for it and it wasn't even due to the fat content. The best thing here was the prime part of the top sirloin, but that only came around once and they cut a really small piece for us. The chicken was good, but definitely not worth the $40 per person. To top it off, when we were in the middle of our meal, a waitress came by and took away one of our plates that still had a decent amount of food on it without even asking us! The dessert was good, but the amount they served was ridiculously small. I had a slice of cheesecake and my boyfriend had the chocolate mousse. Each slice was about half an inch thick. I don't know if we just came on a bad day, if the chefs were new, if someone had messed up the cooking temperatures, or if we were just too dressed down and young for them to respect us, but we are never coming back here again. Both the food and service deserves negative stars.
