Cantina 1511 - Stonecrest Ratings and Reviews
Guac was tableside, very salty, and lacked any cilantro - one of the worst I ever had to be honest. Carne Azteca was a small piece of flank steak and tons of potatoes - proportions all wrong...margaritas were excellent though and the salsa was very good...other diners with me were also disappointed...and they put Cojita cheese on everything including the steak and the guac - terrible !
We enjoyed our first visit more as felt rushed at this visit. I made the mistake of not requesting to leave off the additional salt on my entrée (selected 3 separate tacos) as am very salt sensitive and could not eat more than several bites of one of the tacos due to so salty. (I am a Clinical Dietitian and thus cook low sodium items at home.) My husband and my teen sons loved their entrees, although my husband noted that his burrito was very salty also. Sorry I do not know the specific one he ordered. The guacamole made at table-side was okay (have had better elsewhere) and way too much salt added at the end. The chocolate cake is awesome as well as the 1511 Margarita. Thank you for asking our opinion!
We have been to Cantina multiple times but this was by far our worst experience ever - the service was absolutely terrible, there was no silverware, food, (even appetizer) took forever to show up and waiter barely ever checked in - all this in spite of restaurant not even being full A couple we know was there earlier that evening and also said the service was terrible. While we have enjoyed Cantina in the past, we do not plan to return after this experience. Very disappointing.
Was very disappointed when they sat us the underneath of the table was filthy it had food, lemons, napkins, and silverware on the floor. I could not believe that didn't clean it before they sat us. The lemons made the floor very slipper. The server did tell me that a family with children where sitting there. Just disappointed they didn't clean it before they sat us
We had a reservation but still had to wait a half hour. Our table was dirty. There was a party or something before us and there were lemons and trash all over the floor under our table. Our food was lackluster and extremely slow. I don't see us going back. It is pretty disappointing because we heard good things from friends, but didn't have the same experience we hoped for.
Went to Cantina 1511 to meet a friend for dinner. John, our server, was very informative and attentive. We tried the new margarita for 2 and it was great! They shake it table-side and serve. We also ordered the table -side guacamole and it was delicious - always a good choice. The Veggie Enchiladas were very flavorful and yummy. Would recommend all of our selections!
Made a reservation and still waited 40 minutes to be seated. I know it was a Saturday night, that's why we made a reservation. That will make me think twice about returning. The hostesses were not very friendly, nor helpful. It was an hour after our reservation before we got any food.
We thoroughly enjoyed the evening! However, we had to wait 45 minutes even though we had reservations. It was a tough situation as the guests in the table selected for our group did not leave as expected. Good thing we had the time to wait and were with good friends. The team should have selected another table much quicker....
We have been going here for years, since it moved to Stonecrest. The last time were were there in the late summer (a saturday night) the service was HORRIBLE...had to ask for our meal, drink refills and the manager finally personally waited on us...TOTALLY UNDERSTAFFED!. This Saturday night was OK, not great, not horrible. However, it did appear VERY TIRED and certainly nothing special. The food was OK Tex Mex, Margarita were C+ to B, restaurant Margaritas. The only reason that we would go back is that the food is adequate and THEY TAKE RESERVATIONS. Otherwise, there are a lot of better options for this type of food, Cantina is just a bit more upscale.
The food was decent, but not extraordinary. We always receive good service, although this time our waiter seemed a little overburdened and therefore took awhile to get back to our table to refresh drinks and take entrée orders. We were seated in an annex section, and the temperature was uncomfortably cold when the AC was running.
Love the food- ours was a little cold for the most part. Our server could have been quite a bit better and more attentive/ amicable. Overall it was not as fantastic as in the past, but I would definitely try it again because I have had good experiences in the past.
First time here, got the burrito and my friend got the quesadillas and we both left extremely satisfied. Large portions, good beer selection and service, too. It gets busy so a reservation is strongly recommended to avoid the 1hr+ plus wait that I heard the hostess tell others when I was checking in.
I went their for my birthday on Oct. 22 and had reservations at 6:00. We were promptly seated and waited on. The food was excellent as always and we had a great time. They even brought out a free piece of cake and it was wonderful. Will be back again soon!!
