This was our third visit to Old Vines Patio in two years, nothing has changed, spectacular view, food that has lived up to or surpassed our expectations every time, I had the Ling cod and have never had a better taste, cook and presentation. That goes far as we used to live on Vancouver Island, the wine is pretty great as well. Cheers Ervin O
Had the cornish game hen and was very good. Would have like more veggies with the meal, although gnash sp? Was included. Was enough for me, though. A few mosquitoes were about since the doors were open as it was a beautiful day they were not a big problem. Had to ask for bread to be served and there was not a lot for 4 people at the table.
My wife and I was there for our 37th wedding anniversary which we noted on our reservation but no one at your restaurant acknowledged this so why ask when booking.
Worst meal I have ever had at your restaurant. Ordered the lamb shank and in short it was the worst dish lacking flavor, over cooked to the point the meat was like something that was fall apart texture like pressure cooked stew meat. No taste and poor quality, very disappointing.
As a West Kelowna resident and returning customer this left us wondering what happened? This is not a dish you should serve to anyone and perhaps if you cannot serve it correctly you should take it off the menuat Quails Gate.
Can’t beat the view! The food was very good and the ambiance is terrific. Wait staff were all very attentive. It is expensive but if prepared for that, it is a great spot for a meal.
This was a wonderful way to end our long weekend! The service was amazing, Kelly, our server, was fantastic. The food was every bit delicious, as promised. I also highly recommend for Celiacs wanting a safe place to eat as they were very accommodating and went above and beyond. Beautiful setting, gorgeous view, with amazing photo opportunities. Thank you for the best meal we had all weekend!
We have dined at Quails Gate for a number of years and we find that the last 3-4 visits have been sub par
Service is lacking and the food is just alright
Not sure what is happening at the restaurant but it is quite obvious that things are not as refined
Beautiful spot but lacks the fine dining quality it use to have.
We shouldn’t be pouring our own champagne glasses and waiting for our plates to be cleared
Service was poor and slow and it was not even busy--we went for a late lunch at 2 pm.
Prices are good for winery area and food was good.
The Old Vines restaurant has been a favourite of ours for years. Excellent and varied menu and superb wines. Service is friendly and quietly reserved. The view is alone worth the visit.
Had dinner at Old Vines to celebrate a special occasion.
My wife had the bouillabaisse and I had the cornish game hen. We both shared two side dishes, one of roasted beets and the other crispy brussel sprouts. The bouillabaisse was excellent with plenty of seafood and a rich creamy broth. My wife enjoyed soaking the bread into the broth, it was so delicious. The cornish game hen was moist and juicy. You got both dark and white meat and both were excellent. We were not overly impressed with the side dishes, we found both the beets and the brussel sprouts undercooked for our liking. The food portions were just right.
The service here was very good. The servers were friendly, efficient, and prompt.
The dining area is next to the winery and had both an indoor area and an outdoor area. We chose the outdoor area as the evening was warm and pleasant. The view of the vineyards and the lake beyond was very nice and relaxing.
The menu has a limited selection.
Price is about that of a medium to high end restaurant, however the overall dining experience makes up for the price.
I would definitely recommend.
One of the most amazing dinners I've had. From service to view to food.. absolutely amazing.
My husband & I had a wonderful evening for our wedding anniversary. We appreciated the complimentary gewürztraminer wine, which was delicious. The charcuterie board was fantastic, we added cheeses as well. The crackers with raisins that came with it were just delicious! We definetly recommend coming early to enjoy wine tasting! Monique was our server & she was absolutely amazing, she was quick, full of information & very kind. We will definitely be back!
excellent restaurant, beautiful winery, very fashion and fancy.. food was great, and service as well.. plates were served beautifully... thanks a lot! great view
Dinner for friends visiting from overseas. The food was excellent- but the waiter was even better- good with recommendations and knew his menu and wines. He was an excellent ambassador for your businesses- we would highly recommend your restaurant and wines.
Treated my Mom for Mother's Day and she loved the experience, her meal and the view. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Had Mother's Day brunch here and between the service, the food and the view it couldn't have been more perfect. Not to mention the incredibly well paired wines.
We went to Old Vines for Mother's Day brunch with my 1.5 yr old daughter, Husband & his mom who had never been. The atmosphere was euphoric & peaceful. The food was outstanding & the view is gorgeous. My mother in law was so impressed! Our daughter stayed entertained with coloring & a walk down the orchard. Can't wait to come back soon!
We had a perfect table for our date. The windows were open and the night air was beautiful. A stunning view and great wine made for a memorable evening.
The food, ambiance and the atmosphere was amazing. Plus the restaurant ordered us special weather for a beautiful evening. Great job
Great location and ambiance, great service and great food.
A must for sure!
I thoroughly enjoyed the wine. Unfortunately, the cuisine was uninspiring.
Beautiful setting and tasty food. Thought the lunch prices were a bit on the high side. I’d think the wine prices could be more reasonably priced, especially considering that the wine comes from their own winery. It would be nice to have two wine glass size options, 6 or 9 ounce.
My vegan friend was impressed by the efforts you made to make her meal vegan. We both thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon. We were also given a really good table by the window which we appreciated on such a lovely day.
Pleasant experience with a scenic view of the vineyard. The service was fantastic and the wine perfect!
This was our third visit in the past 9 months. We were very disappointed at how the quality of the food has declined. Inferior ingredients are not well prepared. Very poor value.
Are so fantastic at accommodating food allergies. Love the food, service and view
Food was presented really nice but none if it has the mmm this is so good thing happening. We had appies, entree and dessert and everything was just ok. I will only go back if someone really wants to go there.
I asked about the winery sales from the table and was offered a list but no follow up.
Having really enjoyed my time and a wonderful meal, was disappointed on the ride home realizing I never got the wine I intended.
We come often, and normally service is good, but it was a Sunday, and time between courses was extremely long (and the restaurant was not overflowing.)
We had the spring tasting special. Halibut and soup were excellent. My husband had the sirloin, and his complaint was that he wasn't asked how he wanted it done. It arrived extremely rare, not to his taste. I know he could have sent it back, but that's not his style. The comment is, the waitress should ask when taking the order, for steaks. Thank you
Beautiful brunch time on our 40th Wedding Anniversary.
I could not speak more highly of this place. The food, the service, the view — spectacular.
Let me begin by saying that Old Vines Restaurant has always been one of my husband's and my favourite places to dine in the Okanagan. If we visited Kelowna, we almost always go to Old Vines for dinner. I am sure that we been to Old Vines at least 8 - 10 times, and we have always enjoyed our dining experiences in the past. The setting is still amazing, and our meals were overall tasty, but this was by far our most disappointing visit ever. The service was not at all what one would expect at a fine dining establishment. Our server was almost non-existent at times (we had to ask other servers for water refills, pepper, etc., and even had to ask him to be tracked down when we wanted him to put in our entrees orders). Other servers delivered our food, and our server rarely bothered to check in on us. Sadly, both my husband's rib eye steak and my steak (part of the Spring tasting menu) both had very chewy pieces, and my beef was only luke warm. I mentioned this to one of the other servers when she cleared away our dishes, and she didn't seem too concerned when we mentioned that the meat was tough. On top of it all, not once did our server ever stop by to pour refills of our wine, even when our wine glasses were virtually empty. While it's not hard to pour wine, this is highly unusual service for a high end restaurant. We were staying at a hotel downtown and commented to someone about our negative dining experience at Old Vines, and she said that she had heard from others that the service had gone downhill. Obviously something has changed. Will we return to Old Vines? Yes, we likely will. However, there are many new restaurants in Kelowna's downtown core, or out in the Mission area, so I think we will try first some of those restaurants before returning to Old Vines. Your setting cannot be beat, and the food overall was very good (other than the chewy pieces of beef), but the service was definitely not up to the usual standards that we have experienced in the past.
We had a delicious lunch with excellent wine in a lovely springtime setting. Worth the drive from the north Okanagan.
Excellent evening with early Mother’s Day celebration. Everythinggreat but found menu somewhat limited
Exceptional food, venue, service, wine selection. A memorable meal
The dinner was exceptional and served in a beautiful vineyard setting with a view of the lake.
Always love dining at Old Vines! We had a great table on the terrace overlooking the vineyards and the lake. Our server Olivia was fabulous!
Great food, couple of Vegan options but wish there was a couple more. Amazing scenery. Stunning. Fairly priced. Would definitely go again.
There are not any more welcoming, comfortable and just straight up great restaurants like Old Vibnes. Food, service, ambience and view all amazing.
We always love to spend an evening out at Quails Gate. The wine is fantastic, and the views are simply amazing and truly breathtaking. It’s a very romantic place to enjoy a date night with your love, you’ll fall in love all over again. This is our favourite place in town!
