Pomo Cucina & Pizzeria Ratings and Reviews
Had to wait 30 minutes for our reservation and they did give us a complimentary bottle of prosecco which was very kind. We ordered right away since we were starving and it took 45 minutes to get our pizza. Then no one ever came back to offer more wine or water or dessert. We had to search for our server to pay the bill and he acted annoyed. Great food, horrible service.
We had a small glitch at the hostess stand, with the staff being less than welcoming. When we mentioned this to the manager, she apologized and thanked us for bringing the issue to her attention. Our overall experience was as good as usual and we will return. We appreciated the manager's honest reaction to our criticism.
It's been awhile since visiting Pomo and we must note there have been some changes to the menu that were just a bit disappointing. It's always a difficult choice between raising the price of a dish or cutting back to maintain that price point but certainly in the choice of the grilled veggies I think the wrong choice was made. The vegetables have changed and amounts have diminished and what I once considered a wonderful antipasto is now just ordinary.
Friends had recommended this local spot in. Shopping mall. We wanted casual and we got it. The bartender had no idea how to make a dry martini. Salads were almost done before cocktails arrived. By then we didn't want them. Pizza soggy, don't order porcini. Awful. Lasagne best bet. Clearly they aim for quantity of the crowd and not quality of food or service. Would never return.
First time there, and it won't be my last. Met 5 friends for dinner, and although the table was spread out we all hunkered together so we could converse. The pizza was great, we ordered 4 different kinds, and add two Kale Salads just for laughs. What a great time, we'll be back...
I took a group of associates to lunch at Pomo and all were very pleased. The only negative food comment was regarding two porcini pizzas with a significantly different amount of mushrooms - one person felt a bit jilted out of mushrooms. One of the pizzas ordered was gluten free; the diner was EXTREMELY pleased with the gluten free crust.
Service was top notch; patient while we took time deciding, kept glasses full, and on the spot to wrap up our leftovers.
Great authentic Italian fare and good pizzas if you prefer neopolitan style. More soft in the middle not crispy. Fresh ingredients are their calling card. Service was spotty last Friday night. Took a long time to get our drinks(had to send back my warm beer) and server seemed overwhelmed but friendly. Also charged us for things we didn't order but was quickly corrected. Ask for outdoor seating as it is very comfortable no matter what the temp is.
They serve the fancier thin crust everyone seems to serve, it's not a bad thing. The Margarita was delicious. We all had salads with salmon. The Caesar comes with kale, but I chose traditional. It's very good without a heavy dressing. What made this a five star night was the waiter. Ben was awesome. He just did everything right, and just cared about our enjoyment. The room is open and bright. They also have a nice big patio.
Restaurant is very lively and was very busy while we were there . Service was a bit uneven..I would say due to the fact they were so busy. If your goal is to visit with friends this is not your place ..too noisy. But upbeat atmosphere and beautiful patio. Food is casual quite good
Pizza was awesome and waiter did his best, however they were out of both the liquor of choice and a menu item we requested. Hostess seemed hurried, unprepared and frankly not welcoming. Seating is tight and we were placed in what seemed more like a walkway instead of a comfortable dining area.
