About Pier W
Pier W, a landmark Cleveland restaurant, has been serving a critically acclaimed seafood and contemporary menu since May 11, 1965. Having recently undergone a $3 million interior renovation, the new Pier W resembles a sophisticated luxury liner cantilevered over Lake Erie offering dramatic views of both the Lake and the downtown Cleveland skyline. We would like to request that shorts, flip flops and baseball caps are not worn to the restaurant.

Our first time in years, recently moved back to Cleveland. First time for Sunday Brunch, it was fabulous. View was beautiful, loved walking out on the deck to take in the view of downtown Cleveland. Wonderful day!

This was the first time I have ever been to the establishment so I did not know what to expect. We were hoping for a romantic dinner with a phenomenal view, of which we were not disappointed. I was surprised by the casualness of some of the patrons, as my evening gown seemed to be too formal. It was nice to dress up and have a quiet date with a great view of Cleveland! The food was fantastic and our server was extremely accommodating. I will definitely be returning any time I am in Cleveland!

Being with my new girlfriend, we were excited to be seated next to each other at a corner table with only two seats( table 81). This set the tone for a very romantic dinner. Our server Ellen was excellent, as was all the wait staff. The seafood dinners were both excellent and the dessert(toffee cheesecake ) was to die for. Keep up the good work! We will be back, asking for table 81!

First time dining at Pier W; the crab stuffed shrimp was absolutely delicious as was the raspberry lime cocktail. The view of the lake and downtown has a calming effect; I thoroughly enjoy my anniversary evening.

This is the one the most enjoyable dining experiences my wife and I have ever had. The service was excellent and the food was over the top. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. It would especially be somewhere to bring an out of town guest to. Thank you.

Pier W is a luxury Clevelanders can not live without. I brought a friend for lunch, and every detail of our meal was carefully tended to, as always. We had a wonderful intimate conversation and an amazing meal. Highly recommended.

As close to perfect as we know of for a restaurant. Service is phenomenal from front desk and throughout the meal. Food for four of us was perfectly prepared, and we ate every bite. On top of the superior food and service, the view of Lake Erie is so beautiful and peaceful. Quiet and relaxing atmosphere and easy to carry on a conversation. Consistently great! We travel over from the east side of Cleveland to dine here.

We were disappointed in the seating, they do not take reservations for window seating which we knew so we got there early but did not know they have early cocktails so those people were
able to get their names in early plus a couple that came in way after we did got a wonderful
window seat which did not seem fair, we will not be going back again.

We went on Saturday night and loved watching the full moon rise above the Cleveland skyline as we enjoyed the best lobster bisque in Ohio and some incredible seafood. We think this place has upped it's game since our last visit and will be recommending it to our friends. A Cleveland gem for sure.

Anything that reminds you of superb, excellent, outstanding is what I'm trying to stress in my review. We were there on Friday, 10-14-16 to celebrate our 41st anniversary which was on 10-11-2016. When I made the reservations, of course I mentioned the occasion which was noted. We got there earlier than our 715pm reservation to go on the patio to take in the magnificent view and snap some pictures.
Our table was dead center placement of the outstanding views outside and the only table that was partial surrounded by a beautiful table partition. Our waitress said it was the most often requested table in the restaurant. Perhaps a courtesy for our occasion?
As for the dinner, we selected from the $33 per person. The menu was there due to the Cleveland Independents Restaurant Week ending on 10/15/16. What good fortune.
A choice of appetizer, entree and dessert for $33? Outstanding value. First we munched on their still warm from the oven Chocolate sourdough bread.
My lady had the Beef Tenderloin Medallions in a Cognac Demi-Glace sauce. I choose the Yellow-Fin Perch dinner that was served in a delicious sauce of some kind and mussels, mushrooms and so on. There were two toasted croutons to dip in the delectable sauce. Words cannot describe how good everything tasted and all was prepared to perfection.
Dessert = Dark Chocolate Cheesecake paired with a Graham Crust, Whipped Cream, Chocolate Sauce for her and Earl Grey Crème Brulee & Chocolate Chip Biscotti for me. Seriously mouth watering good. As is our tradition, we each sampled the others choices.
Executive Chef Regan Reik and his team must be recognized! General Manager Mark Kawada was gracious enough to personally come out to present the desserts. I must add they included a courtesy decadent dessert that was topped with a Happy Anniversary pendant.
This is something we'll always remember. They made our "date" better than we ever imagined. Thank you Pier W! Like Arnold says, "We'll be back!"

We were celebrating two birthdays on this visit ... one for my wife, and one for my adult son. Our service was good, save for one significant flaw ... our bottle of Sancerre white wine was delivered and served at room temperature, and not at all chilled. However, the appetizers and entrees were well prepared and tasty.

We visited there on a Thursday night during Cleveland's Restaurant week. There was a moderate crowd. The view on the lower level where we were seated is incredible. Our server Amos was informative, efficient, and a delight. I ordered off the prix fixe menu which offered wine pairings with your choices. I opted to take advantage of that. My meal was wonderful and the pairings made it even more enjoyable. We had such a wonderful evening and will definitely be back.

Wonderful experience. It was our anniversary. I made reservations on line and indicated it was a special occasion. Upon our arrival the maitre de was aware of our event, congratulated us and gave us one of the best tables in the house. Our waiter was attentive but not overly so. The food and wine were excellent. No rush. A perfect evening. Thank you Pier W.

Dinner, drinks and the food were all top notch. It was a special occasion and they were very accommodating to have a window table ready for us. A picturesque night in Cleveland to view the lake and skyline. Food as always was exceptional. Seafood was the choice for all 5 in the party. The special was twin lobster tails and 4/5 of us enjoyed. The other in the party had swordfish which was also excellent. You can't beat this place. Always a dining experience.

I went on line to make reservations. It was easy to do. I let them know we were celebrating our first year wedding anniversary in the comment box.
They went out of their way to make our night special, personalizing the menu and our desert and congratulating us on our special occasion.
The calamari appetizer, lobster bisque and tuna entree were amazing!!
We thank you!

Our party of six had a wonderful time at Pier W's Sunday brunch. The offerings were incredible and they provided a wide variety of fine foods, something for everyone. A mimosa came with the brunch, and was very flavorful. Lauren provided superb service and kept everyone happy. I think everyone had a great time and the view of Lake Erie was beautiful. We left the restaurant extremely happy and satisfied. Great job, Pier W!!! Looking forward to next time...

My husband and I had an incredible meal at Pier W, and really enjoyed our experience. We would like to come back in the daytime to get the full appreciation of the view, maybe for brunch? Overall service and ambience was great. Our meals took a little longer than normal to come out, but it was a crowded evening and I'm sure that is also kind of the point of the restaurant. We highly recommend and would visit again!

As always, the view was spectacular, the food exceptional and the service delightful. It is so nice to go into a place where people are dressed nicely (for the most part) and behave nicely. Perfect place for a grown up special occasion.

The salad, soup, trout, salmon and sides were excellent. The portions were good. The service was excellent, friendly and respectful. The view and restaurant atmosphere was excellent. They handled my gluten free and dairy free diet very well.
The only area of improvement I would recommend would be the dessert selections. No selections for chocolate lovers. The blueberry/lemon mousse dessert was below average. It looked nice but didn't taste freshly made and not decadent at all. The sorbets served were low quality...very little fresh fruit flavor, very sugary. Otherwise we enjoyed our evening very much and would consider coming again.

Revisited Pier W for an anniversary dinner. Hadn't been there for a number of years. Food was very acceptable. Atmosphere was great.
Seating was OK but wish they could have accommodated the request for window or better view rather than facing away from any viewpoint whatsoeve. Regardless we had an enjoyable evening.
