We went to Match as one of our choices to try some new restaurants during Arizona Restaurant Week. It was the only restaurant that we tried that was in a hotel. We were familiar with the area and the restaurant's menu did not seem "typical". We were not disappointed. Seated at a window table was great. It was bight and airy with a view of the little park on Portland and the folks walking around. The service was attentive and the server well informed. I like to ask a lot of questions. Our starters were perfect. Mine was a bright dish of perfectly done citrus marinated ahi over quinoa tabbouleh. It was fresh and lemony. My wife's dish had sweet pieces of lobster with a sweet corn agnolotti that made me want to lick the bowl after I tasted it. Our main courses were halibut in a lemon thyme sauce with pancetta and mushrooms. The fish was perfectly cooked and the sauce complimented it well. The other main course was a tender braised shortrib adorned by a candied shallot that provided a tasty sauce for the beef. It was accompanied by pillowy soft potato gnocchi. There are a lot of shortrib dishes on many restaurant menus these days but this one really stood out. The finale was a bowl of coconut and tropical fruit tapioca. We found it to be a lovely light and just sweet enough ending to a great meal. We checked out out the regular menu and found it to be intriguing. We will definately return to Match for it's great food and its wonderful presentation. And the extra plus of an interesting display of art in the hotel. MoreOpenTable Diner -

This little neighborhood gem tucked away in a strip mall has rapidly become our favorite sushi place. The rolls are delicious, some unique especially the shimagamo roll with that light touch of lemon. We visit for at least one meal when in town.....provided I plan ahead. Always packed so reservations typically a good idea. MoreOpenTable Diner -
As always Capital Grille delivers another flawless experience. Food was terrific, we were celebrating our anniversary and restaurant week. Very comfortable atmosphere, our waiter Jose Jimenez was spot on. Steak was perfectly cooked. Wife enjoyed her Salmon. Mentioned it was really big. Very satisfying wine list. Complimentary champagne toast and decorated dessert plate were a great personal touch on their part MoreOpenTable Diner -

The Speakeasy Supper Club is located in the area previously known as the Grand Lobby of the theatre and has been transformed into a wonderfully intimate and elegant small dining area and bar. To allow additional seating for guests the patio (both covered and open) will be used for dining service for guests who choose only to enjoy dinners and libation. The owners’ goal is to dramatically elevate the use of this space and create a fun and whimsical place filled with a sense of bygone elegance from the Prohibition Era of the 1920’s and 1930’s--bringing a unique essence into the Village of Oak Creek. The menu is beautiful--flavor packed in choices and focused on a steakhouse/seafood format that features a global wine list and fun cocktails.More
A sprawling city in the heart of the desert southwest, Phoenix fares brilliantly when it comes to food. Of course you’ll find Mexican favorites like chili con carne, pozole and tamales. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can nosh on cactus fries pre-rattlesnake course. (True story.) Breweries, Asian restaurants and new American cuisine can all be found in spades, too. The nearby suburb of Scottsdale is host to a number of elegant eateries and old world golf clubs, like the Art Deco Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Biltmore Hotel.
