Such an incredibly special experience. The food was phenomenal, but the service was unmatched. We had such a good time from the beginning to the end (which included a quick tour of the kitchen) - every person we encountered went above and beyond to make sure we felt special and enjoyed ourselves. Worth every penny.

Absolutely fabulous dining experience. We had all the extras to accompany our tasting menu, including the white truffle shavings (a very generous portion) and seared foie. Impeccably accommodating service. We needed a safety pin at the table so they sent someone to the local Duane Reade to get us a plethora of safety pin choices! So friendly and not high brow at all (though sadly it does have that high end price tag--but so well worth it). My new favorite...and we flew in from San Francisco for this dining experience.

We have been to Perse a number of times already and every time we come back we enjoy a great experience as if it was the first time. Everything - from the very personalized service to the excellent food and very special and creative menu. It is not inexpensive but everything considered a great experience worth every penny.

I have been to many of the top restaurants in New York and around the world. Our experience at Per Se this past weekend topped them all. The food was just spectacular and the service so prompt and friendly. An expensive dinner but very much worth it.

It was so nice to be there! The food were great, as well as the service. The waiters would introduce every single dish. Also don't need to be worried about whether you could be full or not, cause there are so many dishes and dessert to fill in the stomach :) What's more, if you do not wear formal clothes, they could offer one that's right fit on you. After the dinner, you can also take some dessert back home.

Per Se has been considered a top restaurant for years now, and it's obvious why to anyone who steps in the door. Eight courses of delicious food: renditions of the classics, not molecular experiments cooked up in the lab. Everything from the caviar and oysters to the seared scallops to the wagyu beef were cooked to delightful perfection. The sommalier was available, courteous, and expert. The wait staff went above and beyond. They heard us mention black napkins when we arrived to not get white fuzz on our black dresses, and although they don't usually use them, they ran and got them from ANOTHER RESTAURANT for us. I told my waiter I had written a book, and he looked it up between courses and asked me questions about it. We were given a tour of the kitchen at the end of the night. The whole thing could not have been better. Per Se is, without a question, the best restaurant I've ever been to in the US. May it continue to be recognized for its excellence for years to come!

This restaurant was absolutely amazing. Whether it be the service, ambiance, food or the city view, this restaurant has it all.
Although I (and probably other people) cannot afford eating here on a daily basis, the experience I had was worth every penny of the $900 I spent here. I freely paid without hesitation.
I hope other diners will have similarly wonderful experience as I.
According to the dictionary Per Se means ...
According to the dictionary Per Se means "by, of, or in itself". This is truly what this restaurant it. The staff cannot do enough for you. They are NOT snooty or snobby as read in some other descriptions. Quite the opposite. They were helpful, friendly and nice . You don't think of anyone as "food runners" or Waitresses or even bartenders. Everyone felt like guides. They all guided us through the menu, the wine list and anything else we could possible want.
The food was delectable and an experience. My husband and I were there to celebrate his birthday. The atmosphere is classy and elegant and energetic at the same time. Beautifully decorated and comfortable. The sommeiller reccommeneded amazing wine choices and was adorable in presentation. The menu was slightly confusing only because my husband and I are pescatarian so we were able to combine two menus to substitute meat. Lauren guided us through the entire thing and I am grateful.
It was an amazing night that started at 915pm and ended at 1230pm ...Amazing ......and don't be fooled by the small plate tasting -I couldn't eat dessert!!

Not surprisingly for a Thomas Keller restaurant, the food was extraordinary and wine pairing was spot on but the attentive and engaging staff is what made it an exceptional dining experience. Special thanks to Sandra Schauffele for the little extras as well as the tour of the cellar and kitchen.

Food quality and presentation were flawless and service was thoroughly professional without being the least bit pretentious. Wonderful view over Columbus circle and the south end of Central Park. While all of the courses on the tasting menu were superb, the Dover sole was truly memorable. Highly recommended.

Visit to the kitchen with a chat and photo opp with Thomas Keller topped off a delicious dining experience. For a fine dining venue there was no pretence just personal and attentive service. Modifications to menu items not an issue in fact welcomed to ensure you don't miss a thing. Impeccable array of desserts that surpass anything to date and the expresso - the best by NY standards - with house made chocolates in a goodie bag because you can! A must visit for any food lover.

As with many others, went to Per Se to celebrate a special occasion. Won't go into much detail here but the bottom line is while the preparation of each dish was impeccable, there were some service hiccups. Our table had a stale, bad smelling tablecloth. Consistency was lacking - we apparently missed one dessert course entirely and another one had missing ingredients. Too many different servers and inconsistent time gaps between dishes. The cake for the special occasion was the least tasty thing we tasted all night. Altogether it was a letdown when compared to the other Michelin 3 starred places we've went to, although again each dish was lovely in presentation, yet, much of it was forgettable. I must add, the manager was sincere in apologizing and inquiring about our imperfect experience and I felt reassured that our experience was not the norm. We will dine there again sooner rather than later and then will update this review accordingly.

Food excellent, service professional. Beluga caviar/lobster course was tasty and novel. Each course served uniquely prepared and delicious. We were a party of 4 by the window. The noise level was quiet compared to other restaurants on a Saturday night. That was a nice addition. A nice evening...WONDERFULL

Went to per se for my girlfriend's birthday. The attention to detail became manifest when the captain presented us a special menu with my GF's name and happy birthday on it.
The food is phenomenal and every item on the tasting menu is well executed. Combined with impeccable service and beautiful view of the central park, the experience is well worth the hefty price they charge.
Of all the 3-star places I've been to in the City, this is by far the most impressive. Here is the nit-picking: the dessert menu is not as indulgent as that of JG's; the Foie Gras is COLD; and I was fully fed halfway through the tasting menu. Guess I need to try another round to see if they improve.

Per Se is an experience everyone if afforded the opportunity should partake in. The food was outstanding but our experience was made by the excellent service. The staff was very approachable, knowledgeable, and a real took an interest in our dining experience. From the front of the house to the back of the house the team at Per Se really sets to take you on a wonderful gastronomic experience. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great fine dining adventure.
