Pepper Tree Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Have been here many times on our anniversary. Food was great except for the fact of no substitutions. My husband is diabetic and wanted to substitute the rice, potato, or pasta option for a vegetable but to no avail. They offered an additional price to bring him a vegetable. Thought for the price you pay, a couple pieces of broccoli wouldn't be too much to ask.
It was our first time there and it did not disappoint. The service from begginning to end was impeccable. The food was beyond amazing. It is definitely expensive so for me it is a special occasion kind of time. Will definitely be back for a couple more visits.
The Pepper Tree was fabulous as expected. We go for special events and for just a great night out for dinner. We would recommend it without hesitation for any and all occasions. The food is fantastic, the service is outstanding and the view and is beautiful. If you have not been, GO!
Overall the restaurant was fantastic. The employees where great ,and the food was amazing. I did find a good size salmon bone in their pre prepped salmon apatizer. The staff swiftly removed the plate from the table and off the bill. The main course was epic, truly one the best steaks I have every tasted. They are a little pricey, but you can see why. The experience, and the food where well worth the money. I would recommend this restraunt to anyone.
Food was amazing. Everything was delicious. I had the pepper steak and it was one of the best steaks i've ever had. It was a bit formal for my personal taste, but that's just me. It seems to be popular with seniors/retirees. My wife and I are in our late 40's and we were the youngest people in the place by 20 or more years.
Your staff was friendly, yet missed our order on 3 of the 5 meals, were not as we ordered. This was a big celebration where 4 out of the 5 of us were celebrating birthdays. The other fine restaurants we frequent, have never missed our orders. From the salad, to the main meal, to the dessert, we were quite surprised that the staff could not bring one course correct. We had a wonderful time there, but we are not sure we will be back. Your wine selection was wonderful, and the atmosphere was outstanding.
Our first visit. Started slow, but I think that was because we don't drink and didn't order any cocktails to start. Staff was very friendly and a great atmosphere, very Mad men 60's style and ambiance. Really enjoyed the food. Will become our go to special occasion place.
I've been going to the Pepper Tree, on occasion, for about 15 years. Their signature Pepper Filet is the primary reason to go. That's been consistent. What's been inconsistent are the side dishes, soups, appetizers. It's a little bit of a let down when you're watered up for something specific like a Lobster Bisque (were serving that night, but have not on some nights) or garlic mashed potatoes (were not serving that night) and they have a slightly different menu. I know, first-world issues, but when you're paying a premium for a meal, you'd like to get exactly what you want. On another note, they may consider updating the attire for the wait staff. The tuxedos must be difficult to keep clean (as opposed to a crisp white shirt and a black apron) and it shows (all of the waiters had dirty clothes. Overall a good experience, but not necessarily great.
The waiters worked as a team. The service was fantastic. They couldn't do enough for us. We all ordered filet mignon's(steak Diane). They were all cooked to perfection and prepared at table side. The salads were fresh and a generous portion. Desserts were fabulous too. The dining experience was very relaxing even though it was a packed house. We definitely will come back again.
The Pepper Tree has the most exceptional steak you will ever have. The cost is high, but the entire experience is just wonderful. Where else can you have your steak prepared to perfection at table side? A very special evening and an outstanding meal. Service is impeccable.
The food and service at the Pepper Tree is above and beyond most restaurants in Colorado Springs. Their service is what was given in days past in top notch restaurants around the country. Dining here makes for a wonderful delicious and relaxed evening with a very pretty view of the city.
