Pembroke's Ratings and Reviews
I had a delicious glass of Yadkin Valley Riesling, the crab cake appetizer , and the hamburger. All were delicious; the Golden Rice under the crab cake was as good as the crab cake; I was not going to eat it in order to cut the carbs, but it was too tasty to leave on the plate. The hamburger was good and they let have a small house salad in place of the fries.
Nancy was an excellent waitress. I was seated next to a room for private parties & it soon became very noisy; I would suggest not to sit in the far left wall booths if they are hosting a group in there.
My fiancée and I had our first date Pembroke’s. The service and food was impeccable. We’re getting married next week and I mentioned it when making my reservation. They treated us like royalty, Lacey was a gem of a server, knowledgeable and fun to talk to, and the food, as usual, was incredible. Unique and always interesting, I doubt Pembroke’s could disappoint anyone. I’ve never reviewed a restaurant before this, but I had to for Pembroke’s. They deserve it. If you haven’t already, check it out, no matter what the occasion. Thanks and we’ll be back soon!
If a restaurant is going to be this pretentious, the food better be excellent. Our food was barely acceptable, the plating was over-done, and the service was just acceptable. When paying this much for my food, I expect much more. We would not recommend this restaurant unless you are only interested in drinking local craft beers.
We had a great server ;my wife ordered off the "pasture " menu for $15 -starter the ribs
Very little meat ..tough and too spicy for her liking -I had an appetizer of "steamed clams" for $12.000 that had maybe 8 little clams that maybe equaled a full mouth full ..a Sprite and 2 $9.00 Vodkas and soda was over $50
The only positive was the waiter -he was great ...left him a $12.00 tip ...will never go back
I absolutely love the blending of flavor with every dining experience I've had at Pembroke's and their sister restaurant RX. I've never been disappointed by the service, ambiance, and quality of food. I would highly recommend them, you will surely be back for a second time if you do. It's old fashion southern with an excellent twist!
Thank you to the staff at Pembrokes. They made my birthday very special! The bar staff and wait staff were very accommodating. Putting my name and Happy Birthday on our menu was a nice touch! Food was excellent! Kudos to the chefs. I am local and have already recommended to my friends and relatives.
There is not much I can say about the food other than we were really pleased with the flavors and variety of choices. We were a little skeptical about eating there at first but when we saw the menu at the door it drew us in. I recommend Pembroke to anyone who loves to sample southern cuisine done exquisitely well.
The steak was awesome but the shrimp and grits were not good at all. The shrimp tasted fishy and were mushy. The manager quickly offered another dish and her apologies. She also brought a delicious Swiss roll desert. I'm certain the manager took care of the mishap with the shrimp and grits.
Enjoyed dinner very much. Ribs as always very delicious. Shrimp and grits exceptional. Excellent coffee. The one unfortunate thing was they were out of the heirloom tomatoes which several of us were looking forward to ordering. Overall we always are happy when dining at Pembrokes.
Food was great and service was good. Our server seemed like she was rushing us and kept asking if she could take our plates when we were still eating. It seemed to be out of conscientiousness rather than speed but we felt like we had to keep saying no, don't take it! Vegetables were delicious and tasted super fresh. Loved the heirloom tomatoes!
Food was amazing as always, there was a dessert mix up but I am also in the service industry so I know it happens. First time in 5 visits.
Service was also amazing as always. It was a special occasion which the hostess did not communicate to the server but our server made the connection by our reservation name and gave us her best wishes, we left very happy.
We love everything about Pembroke's other than the value. If you are looking to pay top dollar for a meal and you want quality this is perfect. The farm to table menu was incredible, and everything was prepared perfectly. I just think the price point on some of the meals is a tad high, comparable to other restaurants of similar caliber. Overall, I will definitely eat here again. The service was top notch and the ambiance was very cool.
Menu should be expanded for entrees. Not enough choices. Excellent waiter. He was on top of his game and outstanding! Little pricey for some items on the menu. Decor very nice and atmosphere warm. What we did have which we started with cheese board then filet mignon and chicken dish were excellent. Dessert was the ganache and that was kind of odd in its presentation but excellent in taste. Hostess with tattoos showing all over the place very much a turnoff and unprofessional. Bad first impression upon walking in and seeing that.
