Pappas Bros. Steakhouse - Galleria Ratings and Reviews
Food and service is always excellent! I was a little disappointed that the lobster tail was $85. I passed as I thought that was overpriced. I always have ordered the lobster but it has out priced me. The bread is the best and spinach and augratin potatos are the best anywhere. Will go back but will not get the lobster which is what I really wanted. Can't justify it😪
When making our reservation for our 32nd wedding Anniversary we asked for a quiet romantic booth. At arrival my husband checked in and we were told our special booth was being prepared. When we were seated they put us in the front booth across from single SeatIng area in front of the cooks. Horrible!!! Noisy not romantic and everyone passed by us on their way to their table. Our waiter was excellent! The bread was stupid. Who eats that large of a piece of bread. Are we suppose to cut it? Our steaks were burned on the outside! The cheesecake was the best I have ever had. I will come back for the cheesecake only. Vic and Anthony have the best steak and sides.
We had a drink in the bar before dinner. There was a crowd, but the drinks came out promptly. We all had steaks for dinner, and they were perfectly cooked. Our waiter was funny and attentive and recommended an inexpensive Pinot noir (Nevermore, 2013, $58 per bottle). This is an outstanding Pinot that I would never have picked on my own. We drank 1 1/2 bottles. I had to draw the line after 2 glasses since I was driving. Overall a great experience. This restaurant is first class and in my opinion the best in Houston for service and atmosphere. In the future, Pappas Steakhouse is where we will go for all special occasions.
We've been coming to Pappas Bros. Steakhouse for years. It's our favorite for date night, birthdays with friends, and now our kids' milestones celebrations. It never disappoints, from the excellent service to the food that's always fresh and on point.
Friday night was another great experience--steaks, seafood, wine, and great company-- just perfect!
Delicious meal. Quite pricey but if you want to go first class, this is your restaurant. There were three of us and the kitchen split a cesar salad for us. Husband ordered the bone in ribeye 22 oz, it was fantastic. I ordered the 8 oz filet medium rare and it was so good. Atlantic salmon topped with shrimp and crab was ordered by our guest and it was enough for 2 meals. Had to order the crab macaroni as our side and was not disappointed. Ordered the key lime dessert, so good, I ate all of my share! Irish coffee for two rounded up the meal. Great place for special occasions and I saw lots of business meals being conducted. We will be back.
On a positive note, our waiter was fantastic; possibly the best I have ever experienced. We were seated in a room behind the bar that has a large television; not exactly the atmosphere I was expecting in a steakhouse of this caliber. Most likely this room would be great for a company party, but not an intimate birthday dinner with your wife... Our steaks were good, but probably not as good as what we have had at Smith and Wollenski's, Capital Grill, or even Perry's Steakhouse. I also felt like the dessert menu left something to be desired; so much so that we left and grabbed Baskin Robbins. Again, I wasn't disappointed, but certainly not overwhelmed with the experience either
Always great....................nothing else can be said. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
This is always our favorite place to go for special occasions or when we have out-of-towers. The service is always impeccable that we don't ever have to ask for a specific server. Food is always on point, never having to do any redo on our steaks. Every dish was delicious and memorable. We'll always come back.
