Panzano Ratings and Reviews

Made reservations based on their website and the menu listed. After we ordered our drinks the waiter told us that there was a new chef and the menu had changed. But the website was not updated. I ordered the duck and it was the worst duck I've ever had. I ate three bites and that was it. The waiter didn't seem to care. Everyone thought their meal was average and did not warrant the price based on prep an quality. The menu was limited and being an Italian restaurant where were the pasta dishes? It is extremely easy to update a website. We probably wouldn't have gone based on the new menu. Maybe that is the point of not having a current website.

We were married at the Hotel Monaco 8 years ago, so Panzano has been a special place for us ever since. We have had several excellent experiences and meals at Panzano, however, we were disappointed in how much the menu has changed since Chef Elise left. The meat and cheese tray used to be unique with excellent offerings and presentation...This time was mediocre and unimaginative. Our favorite salad, the grilled Caesar used to somehow remain ice cold yet have a great grill char to it...this time it was warm and wilted. I had the lobster gnocchi for dinner and it was ok. My wife had the Duck breast and it too was ok. The one thing that still remained great was the service.
Overall I would give the new Panzano a 3/5 instead of the 5/5 that I normally gave it. Unfortunately, it looks like we will be finding a new restaurant to celebrate our occasions. We are pretty bummed about that...

Food was fine but for the money it should have been amazing. The soup was great, Artic Char was really good., scallop dish was a very odd combination of things lentils (not exciting with sausage), ravioli good sauce and flavor pasta hard around the edges. Nice décor but a very loud place . Service was good and efficient but not very personal.

We were not offered the full menu and the items we were offered were more expensive than the menu online. No one bothered to even try to explain the limited menu that we were provided. The food was very overpriced and did not seem to be the same as what the menu stated. It was a large group but I made reservations and called that morning to verify along with letting them know small children were in the party. They never once stated that we wouldn't have access to the full menu that is found online or that they do not have the ability to accommodate children. Very disappointed in our meal but the restaurant is beautiful.

They have a new chef who has completely changed their menu. No more brussel sprouts as an appetizer. No more pastiche as a pasta main! I understand a new chef wants to bring in his own flair but these were dishes that were beloved by Panzano patrons. When I go to Panzano I want an abundance of pasta choices that have been made by hand that day. Now we're down to three pasta choices. :(

One of the best restaurants in Denver. Always excellent food, from the delicious breads that begin the meal all the way through dessert. I was glad recently to visit in a party of seven because I got to taste more entrees, every one of which was outstanding. At times I would look around the table and see one of our party, eyes closed, absorbed and slowly chewing, relishing a delicious bite. My wife is vegetarian and there are always tasty options for her. My pasta carbonara was mouth-watering good. This was a birthday celebration, and they put us in a private room with a round table, where we could all enjoy each other (I don't like long tables which prevent me from being involved in conversations at the other end of the table). Our waitstaff was knowledgeable about the menu, wine and spirits, and was friendly and conversant but never intrusive. We were on a timetable, as we were headed to a concert after dinner, and our server noted our time frame and made sure we were done in time. Can't wait to go back.

Was a nice restaurant for our anniversary. They did have issues with there credit card system (System outage) which forced us to wait for 30 minutes before they finally ran out credit card the old fashion way (carbon copy to sign). They did however remove our appetizers, desert and wine from the final bill as an apology for the wait which I didn't expect but was extremely pleased with. They handled the situation very well for being so busy that night and earned my appreciation. We will definitely be back and look forward to another great experience.

Once seated, the evening was flawless. Service and food were both excellent. The bar service (we arrived early and opted to get a drink while waiting) was tremendously lacking. Be punctual. Flatbread was incredible, wine list extensive, and entrees unforgetable.

This is the best Italian restaurant in Denver !!!!
Amazing flavors and an amazing variety on the menu.
If you're having a seafood entrée or just a salad or something more authentic In the Italian world,,, it is there and you will love it. To have a sit down at the pastry bar and watch them work is so much fun. I've bellied up to a few bars in my time but never a pastry bar and it is so fun to watch them work and if you really nice they'll give you a sample.
Can't wait till my next visit.
This is a great place for a first date and even the last date !!

Our waitress was absolutely amazing! She made our evening extra special for my daughters 30th birthday.
The Brussels sprouts were the highlight of the night, as was the Carbonara pasta. Bread is fabulous! Lamb ragu pasta was not so great, herbs were overpowering. Shrimp pasta was bland.
Would come back though, definitely a great place!

We only get to Denver every couple of years. When we do come, it's for large conventions and stays at downtown hotels. So, it's reassuring to visit Panzano again and find the food quality and service still outstanding. We usually go twice while in town, and this visit was no exception. We were able to do Sunday brunch for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed the Bellini policy. The bar scene at happy hour is noisy, but the regulars' loyalty to Panzano is impressive. This is an easy walk from the convention area and well worth it.

Our dinner at Panzano was out of this world. We had 2 families dining, 7 people total, and they sat us at this gorgeous oval table right near the kitchen so we could hear each other talk. Each course we had just kept getting better and better - winners definitely being the brussel sprouts and tiramisu. Service was also impeccable. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back here!

We have dined here once before and it was incredible. The lamb ragout was fantastic and the fresh pasta was perfect. This trip was not as good. The lamb ragout was not close to what it was the first time and the pasta was stuck together and a bit al dente. My girlfriend had the gnocchi with rabbit. Her dish was much better than mine but was on the salty side. Our server was great and very patient.

We chose Panzano for a friend's bachelor party brunch before paintball and it was amazing. I had the pastiche, which I'd never heard of and I do not regret that decision. It was delicious. Our group was running late and the server was extremely understanding of the situation. Not only that but she made awesome drink recommendations. I had the Vanguard and Aquaruis cocktails that were quite good while everyone raved about the hatch green chili vodka used in their Bloody Mary's. From food to service, I would 100% recommend to anyone. I'll have to head back for dinner.

I've dined here before but not for three years; it's still superb. I liked it so much I ate here two nights in a row, once with a friend. The food is superb, service is excellent, and the wine list is very thoughtfully chosen. I will happily dine here the next time I'm in Denver.

We were staying in the Monaco. Panzano was so delicious, service was great and selection so wide we ate dinner there two nights and had breakfast every morning during our five night stay. We are not drinkers, so I cannot attest to the bar selections. Ambiance is excellent!
