Awesome evening! The food was incredible and great selection. Lots of energy in this restaurant, similar to eating out in Barcelona. Be sure to ask to have your wine in the fun decanter for the adventurous type. Amazing overall experience!

Great for a Friday night with girlfriends!! The ambiance is excellent. Food and drinks were great. Patatas Bravas was my favourite. Great place if your looking for gluten free options as almost all of their menu is, or can be modified to be, gluten free. I will definitely go back.

I had eaten at Ox and Angela twice 3 or 4 years ago. The Spanish Table was hot food; it was copious and terrific. I am allergic to gluten and dairy, and they made sure I could eat all of the dishes but one. I had no reaction to the food, and I felt safe. I recommended it to all of my friends...
But on my recent visit to your restaurant, I was so disappointed. I received one fig for one of the courses and one "cod bite" for another of the courses! Really? That fig cost me $5 and the one small cod bite cost me $5. The food in the plates was such a small amount. The waiter kept on bringing me gluten and dairy, even though I told him three times and he had assured me he could bring me food without gluten and dairy. I had a terrible reaction when I got home and developed a rash and sores on my neck and face. I don't know what was in the food!@#
Not only was the food scarce on the plates (I swear, each course was one bite each), but it was cold. Two dishes were raw fish slapped on the plate. The salad only had three grapes and two walnuts on it (and it came with cheese, which I sent back). The beef was tough, full of gristle and cold. Only the potatoes were good, and they were brought separately from the meat. So when the meat came to the table, we had nothing to eat with it. It was a total disaster in every way. Then came the bill. $45 for 9 bites of food. I will never, ever go to that restaurant again nor will I recommend it to my friends. It was so chintzy, the food was cold and way over priced. I cannot even believe what bad service we had.

We went here for a late night dinner with some friends on a Friday night. We were able to get a table for 8:30pm. When we arrived, they didn't have a table for us because the diners before us were 1.5 hours late for their reservation. They were able to clean another table for us and move some furniture around and we were seated in 10 minutes so it wasn't a big deal since our friends weren't there yet.
On Fridays and Saturdays, a bottle of wine is $25 if you drink it from a Porron which is a decanter that you drink out of and share with everyone at the table. They take all the wine glasses away and if you get cause using a glass - the wine goes to full price. Drinking from the Porron was a lot of fun and we would definitely do it again.
We tried several of the dishes and everything was pretty tasty and easy to share. We had a few vegetarians and this place was perfect for it. We had the toast with tomato, tomato crustini, mussel crustini, pork belly crustini, fried brussel sprouts, fried artichokes, mushrooms with truffle oil, eggs on sourdough, chicken and pork meatballs and the fried chicken.
The standout dishes of the night were toast with tomato, fried chicken, fried brussel sprouts and the fried artichokes.

As usual food was fantastic but this time service was abysmal! We decided to buy a $25 bottle of wine that is poured into a special decanter with a spout ( no glasses are provided). No one showed us how to drink from the decanter. We tried a few times, made a mess, and decided to drink the wine from our empty water glasses. Our waitress came over and advised that we would be charged more for drinking the wine from glasses instead of the decanter. We initially thought this was a joke but were quickly advised it wasn't. When we complained that we hadn't even been shown how to drink out of the decanter, the manager came over to demonstrate. We were again told we had to drink from decanter directly or we would be charged more! It was incredibly uncomfortable. On a positive note, we ended up befriending the table next to ours who had experienced same issue. Restaurant was also so noisy that we couldn't hear each other at our table.

The food was excellent & service was as well - my only "complaint" about the service is that the staff would rattle off the ingredients in the wonderful dishes but did so at rapid pace so we missed much of what they said. Nonetheless, other than this the service was excellent.

Our server came and checked up on us with perfect timing. He also came to fold up my boyfriends napkin when he went to the restroom ( which is something I wouldn't expect for the type of restaurant it was, but it was really thoughtful). We came in at 10:15 or so and being that 11 was closing time, everyone was still very friendly and ensured that I had enough time. Food came out quickly and was pretty good.

The food was great however it was extremely loud. We had to lean into each other over the table and practically shout to hear one and other. Was also disappointed that we had booked our reservation months in advance and specifically asked for a booth/quiet area that we were seated right in front of the patio door.

Amazing, authentic taste - it's smaller plates, tapas style so plan accordingly. The Paella is awesome so order it when you get there it takes some time to
Foodie Tip - if you're looking for a romantic table ask for the corner table on the right side of the back corner of the restaurant - it's a gem

Food was excellent as usual. We were a little bit disappointed with the seating, even though we were there early and the restaurant wasn't even half full. Chairs were uncomfortable and I think we rushed our meal to get out of there and go sit at a more relaxed place!
We both love the food and the service was good as always, but it did make me reconsider trying somewhere new next time we are thinking of a bite to eat downtown. Probably should have requested to change tables, but it was one of the quickest meals we've eaten there!

Absolutely loved this place!! Visiting from Vancouver and saw that this place was on top of the list for tapas restaurants. Food was amazing and service was outstanding. My friend is a vegetarian and there were tons of options for her. Would go back in a heartbeat!

Went with coworkers after work and had never tried it, but it met my expectations after all that I had heard. The food was very good, definitely lots of good options for anyone. The dishes could have been a little bit bigger, but they were excellent.
The service that we had was also very good, our waiter was on the ball and checked in with us the right amount.
The drinks were also very well made and didn't taste like cheap pre-made drinks.
All in all a good time, would go back there again for sure.

Barcelona is not that far away, you can have a great Tortilla Espanyola and P'Amb oli as if you were wandering Barrio Gotic or Las Ramblas. Definitely worth the experience with an excellent wine menu. No jet lag required.

The food was incredible, the service was excellent. But unfortunately the wine was so expensive that we had a cocktail and one glass of wine each, and then went home to drink more wine (whereas if the wine had been affordable, we probably would have had 2 bottles). A very average bottle of wine would probably have cost between $60 or $80 upwards to $200, and which could probably be found in another restaurant for at least 1/2 the price. The wine probably would have doubled or tripled our food bill if we had ordered it.

Can't believe I waited so long to experience Ox and Angela!
We were three for dinner last night at Ox and Angela and it was terrific. All of the tapas we ordered were excellent and the portions were most generous. The roasted Brussel sprouts were delicious, patatas bravas, salted beets, pan con tomates were all sublime - no slouches on anything we ordered. We then shared the paella, also great. Couldn't finish all of it to give you a sense of the big portions, given it's tapas.
We had a wonderful bottle of red called Novembre from Catalonia. They have it priced at $65 and I could only find it on a wine app for $58 so that seemed like great value.
Service was efficient and friendly. We'll be back!
