Outrigger is a delightful neighbourhood eatery that is easy to find in Toronto. Whether you dine in, take out or have your meal delivered, the menu offerings will satisfy your appetite perfectly. With breakfast hours on the weekends and lunch and dinner hours all week, there isn’t a bad time to head over to Outrigger.
It might be difficult to choose one of the appetizers offered, but the platter with full portions of three of the options could solve that dilemma for you and the rest of the folks at your table. Other notable menu items are the farmer’s market frittata and extra thick crustless fried challah for breakfast, the open-face smoked salmon on rye for lunch and the Spanish paella for dinner. That’s just a sampling of the delicious options full of flavour at Outrigger that will have you coming back regularly.

The restaurant had a very busy patio but we opted to sit inside. I started with the French onion soup which was good, and my husband had the chicken wing app. Wings were good but on the cold side. For entrees my husband had a burger and I had the fish tacos. The burger came with a side salad which was very small and sad looking. Burger was also accompanied by a small portion of fries. Fish tacos needed more fish. They tasted ok but it was a lot of fried batter. For dessert, we ordered the molton lava cake. The cake itself was a small chocolate bundt cake with a piped chocolate sauce on top, served warm - not a lava cake. I explained this to the waiter and he said he didn't know the cake any other way. We won't be back.
