About Osteria Marco
Osteria Marco is a very social, artisan-style pizzeria in the heart of Larimer Square. The exposed brick dining room is lined with bottles from our exclusively Italian wine list, which features nearly one hundred labels priced under fifty dollars per bottle. We roast the lamb, pork and beef for our panini right in the dining room and craft the cheeses and charcuterie from or salumi bar in house. Osteria Marco has all the amenities of a fine-dining establishment--excellent service, beautiful food, fabulous surroundings--but priced for the more casual, social diner.

Osteria Marco Ratings and Reviews

This was a great dinner spot. The dining area was decorated with walls of wine bottles which were pretty cool. I wasn't too hungry but I've been on a pizza kick the last few months and was excited to try their pizza. My husband and I started either the artichokes & calamari. Both were amazing. I'm glad we were sitting in a corner where we could really get into the artichokes.
Our waiter was pretty awesome too, I think his name was Ted! We always ask for suggestions when we go to a new place. Love it when the staff is honest about the food suggestions and considering our taste. He suggested the short ribs for my husband and he LOVED it!! I don't eat meat but he convinces me to try a little piece. It's been 2yrs since I've had meat and this was pretty good start. I definitely recommend this place!

Fantastic food and very good service. We had great wine recommendations from the server as well. However, forewarning for a romantic date night: 2 person tables are uncomfortably close to (read: bumping elbows with) your neighbors, so that when the woman next to us pulled out a flashlight to see her menu and eat (yes, she did), it really murdered that romantic dinner atmosphere that the place otherwise does so well.

Osteria Marco is one of my favorite restaurants in Denver. I moved away four and half years ago, but when I come back to town I make sure to get to there for lunch or dinner. This visit reminded me why.
I always make sure to get a reservation because Osteria Marco is definitely hot spot, but when we arrived about 15 minutes early, they still seated us right away. We ordered the Grilled Artichoke to start, and it was - as always - a standout. I've had many pizzas and pasta dishes here that I've enjoyed, but the Short Rib I got this time was simply delicious; succulent and flavorful to the nth degree. The service was excellent and the timing of our meal was just right. The bread pudding was also excellent. I'll be back in Denver in June, and I will DEFINITELY be heading back to Osteria Marco!

We dine here every time we visit Denver. This time the server seemed very uninterested in anything besides getting us out of there. We dined early and with children, however we ordered multiple courses of food. I'm in the restaurant business so I understand that we weren't his "big money table" that night but we could hardly finish a bite of food without the next course coming and him trying to take our plates away. We had 3 courses and it only took us 1 hour to dine.

Not our first visit to Marco but they don't disappoint. We loved everything we tried and our waitress was very sweet. The main dining space is below ground, so unless you're lucky enough to get one of the few patio seats this is where you'll be even with a reservation. It isn't a bad space, but the tables are a little close together. Close enough that we had to witness our poor waitress having to go over (and over) a check she split for a table. Ultimately, the condescending customer got the point and concluded she was entirely correct and eventually left. I always recommend the Burrata here, it just may be my favorite appetizer ever! My husband is a huge fan of the absinthe. Best of all, I like the feeling of leaving a restaurant not hating myself because the food is amazing but is served in moderate portions.

Every bite was outstanding. This is the best pizza in Denver. My only disappointment was the lack of hospitality: even though I had noted in the Open Table reservation that we were celebrating my 50th birthday, no one appeared to have read it, not the hostess, not the manager, no one. I even wrote this on their survey form after the meal - no follow-up whatsoever.

I was very disappointed with our experience. we asked if there was a children's menu and our server told us she recommended a cheese pizza. We thought it would be a small children's portion and instead it came out as a full size pizza enough for 2-3 people. I thought it was very misleading that our server didn't mention that when we were ordering. She was a nice gal but didn't see to care much about our experimence. Overall we were disappointed and won't be recommending to anyone we know.

Pizza was OK, appetizer was OK, drinks were good. The prices were pretty ridiculous considering the place is not very attractive, it looks like a run down bar on the inside. The service was good. Nothing was great about this place. Two people having a couple of drinks and pizzas should not have to drop $100 (including a generous tip).

While there was nothing wrong with the food or with the experience, it was all just so-so. With so many other restaurants to choose from, I wouldn't go back to this one and I wouldn't put it on the list of places that I would recommend.

Osteria Marco has never disappointed and last night was no exception.
The service was impeccable, the Montepulciano was wonderful, and the food was so delicious! The fried green tomato appetizer was sooo good...tangy and savory. The barrata was so creamy and rich. And the carbonara pizza?! Holy moly! Here's a tip... order it with two eggs...no joke, it is out of this world!
We were celebrating a girlfriend's 40th birthday and they made sure to recognize it. It was a wonderful evening!

Visiting our son in Denver and picked this restaurant online because it is close to his apt -- turned out it is his favorite place, and with good reason. Authentic Italian with incredible starters (calamari salad and toasted bruschetta were unusual and packed with savory goodness) and real deal Neapolitan style pizza. Our server was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere is pleasant. Strong recommend.
