We were dining very early (6 pm) and we were the first ones seated on the patio. It was a lovely environment and evening. I would definitely recommend highly to anyone looking for a beautiful and hip place to dine.

This was a birthday celebration and it was on a Monday night. It was not extremely crowded because it was a Monday night so the service was outstanding and the value was excellent because on Mondays the wine is half price. The food was cooked perfect to everyone's satisfaction. It was not very noisy however I could see on a weekend night when the place is crowded it could get noisy. There are three levels of seating and I believe the third level would have a nice view at night. At the completion of the meal, they provided one of their deserts with a lit candle to honor the birthday which was nice as not all place would do that.
It appears there is only valet parking as I did not see anywhere to park unless you are willing to park in the adjoining neighborhood and walk a distance. It was a lovely dinning experience and I would recommend this place to everyone.

Olive and June's doesn't disappoint. The cheese board had a great variety of local and house-made cheeses and accompaniments. Bread had great texture and chew without hurting your mouth on the crust. Coconut sorbet was subtle and really refreshing. Service was well spaced never leaving us without refills and a quick checkup and not being in our face. Very nice and courteous.

I took my parents there while they were visiting Austin & it happened to be my birthday. From the drink we had outside on the deck, the ambiance inside, the appetizers (pork meatballs were amazing!!!), and then the entree, everything was so yummy and a perfect fit for the evening. Our waitress was lovely, helpful, and attentive. Overall, it was a great evening/experience!

My wife, a neighbor couple and I all enjoyed our drinks and meals prior to attending a Zach Scott play. We arrived early and the dining room was not open so spent time upstairs in the bar enjoying cocktails. Alexander, the bar tender, attended to our every need and was very efficient and personable. Everyone enjoyed the food, some of which was predictably good but other dishes were exciting, different, surprising and excellent. We do not normally order desert but Alex made a recommendation that we all enjoyed very much.

Be aware there is virtually no parking close to the restaurant. Much of what should be available is dedicated to valet parking. Why the valet has to have parking spaces NEXT TO the front door is beyond me. Inconvenient for the patrons and a red flag on how hard the parking valet has to work on a quiet evening.
I don't think I saw one glass of wine by the glass for less than $10. I felt like it was a second gouge at my pocket book. There should have been a broader offering. It's not like I was overlooking the Mediterranean sea and was expecting to pay for the privilege.
The crostini with grilled blueberries was an unexpected delight, albeit expensive at $5 each. The Linguini Nero was delightful as was the chocolate roulade.
Overall, it was a lovely dining experience, albeit expensive for the many offerings in Austin. I'll try them for lunch one day, but dinner... maybe sometime later.

I have some pretty picky friends and they are still raving about O&J. It's a hidden gem, but probably not for long. Our waitress was attentive and knowledgeable. Better though, was the food. Drinks were ample and quickly served. The highlight, though, was the presentation, taste and quality of the appetizers, main courses and desserts. All raved about their selections and appointed me to select future restaurants. So, that was easy, we're going back to O&J.

This was our first Sunday dinner at Olive & June. Each course was beautiful and delicious. I wish we could have eaten outside, but it was just too hot out! The interior is quiet and intimate. We had a great view of the 200-year-old tree in the central courtyard.

Great food, great service.
The only thing I would change is that they seated us next to the elevator. We had a 6:45 reservation & we arrived about 15 minutes early. There were several tables available on the second floor and they stayed open during our entire meal… not sure why we were seated there.
Impressed Despite Changes
I love Olive and June. Everything always tastes wonderful and the service is always fantastic. We went there for my boyfriend's birthday and we were really looking forward to the Sunday Dinner set menu. I even made reservations for Sunday night on purpose so we could get a chance to try the menu. However by the time we got there at 7, the menu was apparently "sold out" which I thought was a little odd and honestly a bit disappointing. No where on their website did they say that it was a first come first serve kind of menu. A little bummed out, we ordered off of the regular menu, but we still had a beautiful evening with crostini that was to die for and delicious ravioli and new york strip. I absolutely would still recommend Olive and June, but maybe a little heads up about the menu change would be nice!

Had we been seated outdoors, it would have been the night I had really hoped for, in celebration of my daughter receiving her PhD. Instead, it was so loud that even our 26 yr old said she basically read lips all night. We left early and had coffee and dessert elsewhere. The outside seating is spectacular. Such a missed, once in a lifetime opportunity for us.

Fantastic food and atmosphere at a rather high price point, but very worth the splurge for special events. The butterscotch torte(?) was the best dessert I have ever eaten and I will recommend this location for that alone!
Great for cocktail connoisseurs
Excellent bartenders! I asked the bartender to make a blue moon cocktail and even though she was not familiar with the drink, she made the best blue moon cocktail I've ever had and one of the other bartenders took the time to explain an interesting cocktail recipe to me. Great for cocktail connoisseurs

While the menu is not extensive, it is very special. The choices are interesting and creative. My pasta, which is prepared fresh daily was superb and perfectly cooked al dente. The seven or eight distinct ingredients in my kale salad were complementary and had my taste buds tingling. The gorgeous tree in the courtyard creates an ambiance that makes Olive and June ideal for outdoor dining.
Busy on Mother's Day
I was really looking forward to Olive and June, as I'd heard great things. Unfortunately, they were really busy and understandably, its hard to scale the same level and quality of service when their are more people for the same staff to handle than typical. There were a few highlights that contributed to my review: First, after 10 minutes without meeting the waiter, I had to ask the Maitre'd to take our drink order. Next, when they brought us wine, we tried to order appetizers, but the waiter was already on her way to help the other tables, and I guess she did not hear us (we felt we had to go out of our way to get attention). Finally when the food arrived, my pasta dish was either undercooked or just cold, as it had to be reheated. Overall the food was delicious so i want to give the place another chance, and I understand that they were busy so i don't hold a grudge with the service. I think it really was due to the holiday--and i definitely want to give them another shot.
Quaint restaurant with great food and drinks
I love the atmosphere at Olive and June. It's great for a drink at the bar, a romantic dinner, or girl's night. The tree that the building makes the environment extra special. I love to take people here from out of town.
Lovely Mother's Day Brunch
Husband and kids took me here for Mother's Day. The service was top notch and the food was exquisite! It was a set menu for Mother's Day, but not being a picky person I enjoyed every item that was offered. The cocktails were super good too. My kids loved it too and want to go back again. Very lovely ambiance. Relaxing and super enjoyable.
Perfect for Sunday dinner.
My two friends and I went for a special Sunday dinner. Our server, Courtney, was absolutely phenomenal. She suggested we try the prix fixe meal (available on Sundays), as well as whatever other entrees we wanted so we could share everything; what a great idea! She also helped us select two amazing bottles of wine (and dessert). Her recommendations were spot-on. Every dish was prepared perfectly. We especially loved the Braised Texas Lamb Shoulder, although everything was amazing. You really can't go wrong with any selection on their menu. The service was perfect and the ambiance was beautiful as well.
Great Food, Great Service, but Watch Out
I went here with my wife for our 6 year wedding anniversary. The food was awesome. Our server was excellent. I wish we would have known that there was going to be a DJ'd event on the third level of the restaurant. The outdoor seating is visually beautiful, but the atmosphere felt off and very non romantic when dance party music is thumping overhead.
I would go again, but if you want to have a romantic, outdoor experience, call ahead and ask if there's going to be an event that night. It totally kills the mood. I felt like I was at someone's party, not my own anniversary dinner.
Unfortunately, the restaurant seemed very understaffed for the number of parties including a wedding reception and prom party (I think). Our server was very nice and initially everything ran smoothly. As the restaurant became more busy the service became very spotty. Cheese ravioli was delivered and was meat filled. We were told it was a kitchen error. We had to ask for water refills and other things. A birthday cake that we brought took about 30 minutes to return to us once we said we were ready for it and no silverware was brought out until we asked for it. Overall, food was good and the setting outdoors was nice as well.
Beautiful neighborhood gem
The three story indoor/outdoor patio gorgeous wrought iron railings structured an enormous 200 year old tree is truly a hidden gem. Complimentary valet, large wine list, pleasant servers. Very good food. We loved the farm egg polenta starter. Desserts seemed an afterthought but we were quite full.
Great food and ambiance
I'll start with the only negative first, one bartender could not keep up with the restaurant demands and serve those at the bar. We arrived early and went to the bar to have drinks. Ten minutes later, we left without a drink. However, everything else was excellent. A knowledgeable waiter whose recommendations were spot on, the quick bar service, and the food!!! Both quality and presentations were fantastic. And, even with background music,we were easily able to hear each other. If not for the initial bar service, I would have rated bar service five stars. A hidden gem and we will definitely return.
