My wife and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary at Oak on Saturday and we had a wonderful experience. We were given a table by the high arch windows as requested and everything from our waiter Oliver to the outstanding food and wine made for an unforgettable night. Thank you!

Took my husband's parents to The Oak Steakhouse for their 50th wedding anniversary. Superior service, waiter was very knowledgeable about the entire menu and very helpful with our food and drink choices. Everyone is very attentive. Our steaks were 5 stars and the sides were very fresh and tasty. We have been here once before and will certainly come back again.

Always amazing!! Of purse their steaks are cooked to perfection, exactly as we ordered them. Their soup of the day, parsnip was creamy and delicious. They also have a great selection of wines. The ambience is perfect for a romantic date and the service can't be beat. Our waiter Dave was friendly and had great recommendations. One last thing, coffee...if you're a coffee lover, order the French press. Smooth with good flavor and very hot. I recommend you go here. It's our favorite steak restaurant.

The restaurant was packed which gave us a pretty good indication that the food would be good. My husband's filet was ordered to be "well" but since they butterflied the cut it was a bit over cooked. The server was very busy and brought our coffees but forgot about the spice cake my husband ordered. By the time he realized it we ended up taking it home with us. Overall it was a lovely anniversary dinner for us.

We always enjoy Oak Steakhouse and have their petite filet mignon with truffle fries. We're not big eaters but enjoy a perfect steak and this really hits the market. An outstanding value. Like our last visit, we ordered the foie gras appetizer, which came with an apple compote this time. It was good but not as wonderful as the last time. The spicing in the apple compote was not the best complement to the foie gras. It's a lovely, dark wood paneled place with different rooms on multiple floors overlooking Broad Street. Everything you think a great steak house should look like.

Recently ate there as part of our 30th wedding anniversary trip to Charleston. Beautiful restaurant with outstanding food. Service was impeccable and friendly. Could not have had a better experience and we recommend the restaurant highly.

Excellent steaks and excellent service. Wow, what a treat for our 25th Anniversary.
When we return to Charleston we will want to come back to have a delicious steak. I was expensive, but worth it for our big anniversary!!

Over all our experience was very pleasant. Would have loved a table not in the center of a noisy room but were happy we were able to get a reservation based on circumstances. Wonderful place for a special occasion.

This was our first and last visit to this restaurant. My date and I had one mixed drink and one coffee, one appetizer with two scallops on it, one small fillet mignon, (had to order a side vegetable seperately) and one Shrimp Primavera. The bill with a $25.00 tip came to $150.00.

Had an amazing experience on my birthday at Oak Steakhouse. Loved everything from the appetizers to desert, I'd definitely go back. Had oysters Rockefeller, steak tartar, 5oz tenderloin with truffle parmesan fries and the sorbet trio for dessert. It was all cooked deliciously and perfectly, it was great.

As usual, Oak was great. My date and I ordered steak and they were both cooked to perfection. Our server was excellent. John was also amazing. Thanks for introducing yourself and making us feel like we were invited guests to a special meal. We thoroughly enjoyed every bit of the food and thank everyone for another superb dining experience.

Did not live up to expectations. Filet served sliced? Weird. Also very noisy on second floor. Waiter very good, key lime good and fries good. Served really poor bread and that is always a disappointment. Bread is not that hard to do right! Overall not great.

What a disappointing dinner. Drinks at the bar before-hand were good and the oyster Rockefeller appetizer was great but it went down-hill from there. The crispy chicken was not crispy and everything was way too salty! The sides were almost inedible due to the amount of salt. And then there was the wine list...The mark-ups were ridiculous. In some cases, the wines were over 4x the bottle cost. In general, not a good experience and considering the prices, a real disappointment.

We are new to Charleston and were given a gift card by some friends. They said it was so that we could enjoy a special evening and so went in with high expectations. We were thrilled with our experience: the staff, the service, and of course, THE FOOD! I seriously cannot tell you which part of the meal was my favorite as the entree, sides and dessert were equally magnificent.

It had been many years since i have visited Oak and we enjoyed immensely. We had reservation and were 5 minutes early and they made us wait in the crowded bar although there were plenty of available tables. This was the only glitch. The waiter was wonderful and very knowing on what to order. He was quite attentive. The food and wine was delicious. It's a bit pricey for everyday, but we thought it was worth the cost.

The wait staff is awesome!!! They make us feel special every time we dine with you! The food is delicious and everyone worked with our allergies while preparing the food. This is the third time my friend and I have celebrated our birthdays with you!
