The Service was increbilibly good. The food was excellent. I had the Chicken Parm. with a side of Rigatoni in Alfedo Sauce. This entree was only $19.99 all in. The portions were so generous, I had no room for dessert. This restaurant is one of the Best Italian Restaurants in Johnson County.
Excellent Italian food......but can be on the salty side. That said they are great about customizing dishes and have gluten free pasta and pizza. Specialty cocktails are creative, well balanced and very good. Service is awesome.
Very noisy on a Friday evening. It was hard to hear each other. However, the food and service were great.
2nd visit, excellent both times. I am a visit to KC from Europe, this restaurant rivals many notable European restaurants. Very busy early on (early for us european folk at least!). Highly recommended.
Fun place with great food. Great outdoor searing too.
The service was great! The tables are too close together. It feels a little like sitting at a community table. The noise level was too high to hold much of a conversation. The decor is appealing. The food was very good.
We love going to North Italia occassionally .. cuz its just a bit different from other restaurants. Great food .. wonderful staff .. and good drinks. Only a slight problem due to a draft coming in thru one of the windows near our table .. but a quick reseating solved that. The rest of the nite was fabulous!
Lovely restaurant - We were really surprised by how good the food was, wonderfully prepared pasta al dente, with inventive ingredients and combinations and lovely dessert. We loved everything from start to finish - the drinks, the wine, the bread and the tomato butter, the the seasonal salad (which had roasted and shaved cauliflower - very interesting), lovely pizza and pasta dishes, and well prepared Branzino. We will definitely be back! Kids and adults alike were happy.
Our waitress was outstanding! Food was exceptional except my husband thought the broccoli with his fish wasn't even enough to call it that! Great spot for about any kind of occasion.
We come here often & it is always excellent! Love their homemade pastas and salads . Vibrant atmosphere
We moved to Kansas just over a year ago and our children fell in love with North. We don’t go often enough due to sports schedules but our children ask to go for their birthdays. Awesome staff and food - thank you!
Great place! Great service and the food choices were exceptional! Perfect atmosphere for friends or couples. Fun and vibrant!
Food and staff were top notch! Hit the happy hour!
I love the half price bottles of wine on a Wednesday. What a great deal!
Our cute waitress, Alex, was professional, personable and knew exactly how much attention to devote to our table of girlfriends chatting.
Food was good but we were seated at a small table stuck between 2 tables near the door. We felt like we were having dinner with the family next to us. Not very private. Cold air hit every time the door opened. Server took a long time to return to our table. A little disappointed.
Service was great! Ambiance is always great.
We were disappointed with the Pizza. We had been bragging to our neighbors about how great the pizza is so we invited them out. We both ordered pizza and the crust was very disappointing. Not like it normally is which is light fluffy and chewy. This time It was dry and tough. Very disappointed!
Extremely noisy. Very difficult to talk and listen. Entree served too quickly; I still had my salad.
The feeling is one of that they want you out of there as quickly as possible.
Will not go back
The scallops were excellent and the wait staff was second to none.
Celebrating a birthday
Great food and a fun menu. We had pizza and pasta. We had Zutta chip appetizer and they were wonderful.
Mussels were good. We shared two pasta dishes which lacked flavour. But the pizza was delicious. Unfortunately the tables are really crammed in. Our server was fantastic. Would go back to try another pizza.
We celebrated a family member’s birthday, but no one made any mention of it. We let Open Table know this when we made the reservation. Usually when we dine out, the restaurant gives a dessert to the birthday person! Otherwise, our meals were good and our waiter, Josh, was efficient.
Our server was AWESOME and made this an awesome meal!
Food and service have all gone downhill. Don’t know what’s happened, used to be one of our favorite places. New menu isn’t as good, one person in our party asked to have cucumbers left out of salad, but it must have been too difficult for the kitchen. Tables are really close together.
We took two relatives for a birthday celebration at 6:30 on a Saturday night. The restaurant is very noisy, making conversation challenging. Food wise, the scallops were deliscious, the strazapretti eas good, and the squid ink pasta was so so. Our server left much to be desired. She seemed completely unintetested. We had to flag her down to get more water. When we asked about bread, her response was "Oh yeah." We have dined here before and had better experiences.
Always enjoy a meal at North. This lunch was a Birthday celebration and we were all happy especially the Birthday lady! And the Juliette is the most beautifully presented cocktail.
The food was alright. I was hoping/expecting more. It was quite expensive. I don’t expect to go back anytime soon.
i had the vegatable salad with salmon and the cauliflower appetizer to split with the table . it was phenomenal and healthy
wine was too pricey
Had a great time! It was super busy so we ended up getting seated 30 minutes after our reservation time but they were super apologetic and once seated the experience was superb! Me and my husband had the white truffle garlic bread, chicken Parmesan, and the chicken pesto and I also had the julietta cocktail. Everything was delicious and we will be back just maybe on a less busy day!
Mom in town
Nice modern/rustic décor. Great service, very good value for the $. Could tell pasta was homemade. Had chicken parm, bottom of parm breading slightly burnt and had kind of a pizza crust quality to it, a little weird. Overall a very good experience for the $. Server was attentive and nice - good dude.
Been there at least 40 time and this time was really poor service. Ruined the Valentine by being forgotten by server for OVER 30 minutes. Finally flagged down a floor manager.
Our dinner items were great, and the deserts were super. And our waitress was the best of all!
Have eaten at this restaurant many times, food has been great in the past, but whatever reason food quality was lacking. Maybe the large number of diners. Tables were so close together that you could hear the conversations all around you. Quantity of diners was sacrificed for quality of food. Unlikely we will return for special events again, but may dine at other times.
Went on Valentines Day. Will not do that again. The food tasted great but could only choose from limited menu and was pretty expensive. We have eaten there before on just a regular night and had a much more enjoyable experience. Seemed like they added extra tables for Valentines Day and we felt really crowded.
We waited 45 minutes for our entree while being asked 3 more times if we wanted another cocktail. The price fix structure was obviously a means to assure the restaurant a minimum $110 order from each couple, plus alcohol, on this the second busiest restaurant night of the year. I won't go back again on a "special" date night.
Great food. Great drink
Great food. Great service!
The chicken chop salad is the Best! My husband loves the spaghetti and meatballs, too. It was a birthday lunch for me with girlfriends and the marscapone dessert was wonderful! I love the lively vibe but might be too loud for some people. Will definitely be back. Service was good and the wine was perfectly chilled. They do a great job with carry out too.
Always good, always crowded! We prefer the Wednesday nights for 1/2 price bottles of wine, and the food pairs nicely.
