We came here as it was our first anniversary and we wanted somewhere special. My husband had mentioned when we he booked that it was our anniversary and asked if they would have champagne waiting for us- they did that and didn't charge us. They also gave us one of the nicest tables in the resturant and made us feel special. The food was also really good. One of the nicest steaks I have ever had and the sides were delicious and far too large! As it was a special occasion they also gave us desert on the house. The service from all the staff was excellent. Would love to go back More

My family recently went on a trip to Sushi Nakazawa as part of a Christmas present and told me that it was not to be missed. Traveling from Seattle where we have a lot of great sushi bars - including some restaurants by another Jiro apprentice - I knew I didn't want to miss the opportunity. I recommend sitting at the sushi bar where you can watch the masters at work and be served directly by Nakazawa himself. While I was expecting high quality sushi, what I wasn't expecting was the subtle but incredible service. We didn't interact often with our servers, but when we did they were very informative exchanges on sake as well as specific ingredients in our fish. We were given small towels to wipe our fingers and upon noticing that my friend was left handed, a server quietly moved the towel to the other side of his plate. I don't eat sushi that often anymore. As an environmentalist, because of the state of our oceans, and as a foodie, because I'm a bit bored of 10-ingredient rolls that disguise the flavors of fish rather than enhance them. It makes more sense than ever to me now to spend money going to a place like this on a special occasion. It's not cheap, but it's worth it! The fish here is all served as nigiri with different pairings like shiso leaf, Japanese plum, different sauces carefully selected for each fish. Great quality, delicate flavors and textures, not for people who are picky about their raw fish! More

Absolutely spectacular!! The food was art on a plate but a good balance of flavours. The menu was also well balanced, so as not to leave feeling over-full. The temperance menu was a standout - very creative & quite exciting!!!! Highly highly recommend.... By the way, the maitre d' is a hoot! Nice to be in a fine dining restaurant where the music is well put together by a DJ & can be thoroughly enjoyed!! More
