We've been coming to Napa for 10 years and it was bittersweet to be there on the last night of service too. The food is always consistently good. The staff professional and pleasing. The wine list interesting. We'll miss what for a decade has been, without question, the best restaurant in Stamford.
I have been to Napa several times for dinner and I have always enjoyed going there. The food is always good, the service doesn't rush you and the atmosphere is good. However, I do have to complain about the food that I got this time. I was there for lunch for my first time and I ordered the salad that is basically a Cobb Salad but I don't recall the name of it. I ordered it with chicken. I do not think it was the salad, so I have a feeling it was the chicken that was so incredibly salty. I didn't notice it until have way through my meal, but I couldn't even eat dinner later that night because I was so turned off from all of the salt. I know restaurants use far more salt then I would ever add to a recipe, but to have the salty sensation last until I went to bed was a bit much.
I am not in a rush to go back there right now. I will probably go back during restaurant week when I think they really put their best foot forward. But I will definitely be watching out for how salty anything I order is.
We had a very nice quick supper before a concert, and our waitress (whose home before coming to the USA ten years ago was in the university city of Kluge, in Romania) helped us - in a very pleasant way - to pick menu choices that would not take too long to prepare. We ordered salads and sliders, had them served simultaneously, ate beautiful and good food, and got to our concert in excellent time to choose good seating. All in all, a very pleasant experience.

My husband & I booked a reservation based on the great online reviews. Napa & Co did not disappoint! The style of Napa & Co is intimate, but feels grand as well due to high ceilings and strong elements like brick and iron. We each ordered a flight of wine: The Old World and Cabernet varietals - the tiered presentation of the wines was lovely and we appreciated the opportunity to get acquainted with the selection of big reds. We began with the shrimp and grits - absolutely delicious! We also ordered the burrata - fresh, flavorful and fabulous! Our server was excellent - attentive and very informed. When we asked for a recommendation, he suggested the duck (which my husband ordered). The duck came with various seasonal vegetables, a parsnip puree and light brown gravy - HEAVENLY! We don't make it to Stamford often, but when we go again, I'll book us here - it's worth the trip!!!
Had a party of seven. Menu is somewhat limited but does have something for everyone. I had the halibut. My dish was good. Others had spare ribs, salmon and burger. Everyone commented food was good. Service was a bit slow. And it was very noisy. This was a business dinner. I would not recommend if you need to hear conversations.
We celebrate a wedding anniversary and complimented with glasses of sparkling wine. Nice touch! Food always tasty and of good quality. Mussels and tuna tartar appetizers are very tasty. The burger is delicious (not cheap)!
There is a private wine room for small groups and special occasions.
Restaurant Week dinner. Not a particularly good value, small portions, some choices were quite good, some were not. All at our table agreed that the dark, high ceiling, hard surfaces everywhere, subdued lighting - the noise level was deafening. There is a dour so-called, uninspired "quiet room" which we only found out about as we were leaving. Overall, pricey, noisy, mostly decent food, but not worth the discomfort. Carrying any conversation is challenging.
Met a friend for a Restaurant week lunch at Napa, Stamford, CT. Excellent choices for all 3 courses. Food was well prepared and presented, creative in range of tastes, use of fresh produce, poultry, and herbs. Will definitely be back to sample more from the regular menu. Service was friendly and unintrusive. We stayed for 2 1/2 hours, enjoying the leisurely pace of the meal and our conversation, that long outlasted the food, never feeling hurried. While some restaurants use the lower pricing of restaurant week to feature their least expensive items or charge additional for many offerings, Napa wisely and graciously showcased the high quality of their cuisine at the advertised price, a wise marketing opportunity to build their client base. Bravo!
Clearly I like it I'm back within 2 weeks and compelled to write another review. Reliable, contemporary scene in downtown Stamford with consistently good food. Interesting fusions with great choices for wine. Service can be spotty but always done with pleasure and a smile.
Napa - is Napa. The food, the wine, the food, the service and the food is always great. Accommodating happy hour specials and consistency make this one of my TOP 5 Stamford restaurants.
Once in a blue I don't get the greatest waiter and I will say parking stinks and Valet is an utter rip off...... But the food is worth it. Completely worth it -
I'm Positive 12 dollars (9 if u remember to validate ) is the heftiest valet price in Fairfield county- it is a slight issue.
It was resturant week, always a mistake. I did not order off the special menu the other 3 did, but service had some issues. We ordered cocktails and he brought the bottle of wine, chardonnay, while we still had the cocktails. Never offered a tasting of it. Had to ask for bread. When dessert was served to the other 3, included in special, I was not offered a dessert menu and no one was asked if they wanted coffee. To end it all was given a different tables check
Food was pretty good but we had an 8pm reservation and they didn't seat us until about 8:20. They put us in the back room, which was fine, but then 15 minutes later wanted to move is to the front because something opened up. When we said we preferred to stay put, the waitress made a comment that it was less convenient for the staff for us to be in the back room!!
