I flew in from out of town to visit a friend, and she picked Michael's because she hadn't been there before. We split the 24 oz bone in ribeye, and it was fantastic. One of the best steaks I've ever had. I wish there had been more rib eye choices though. I had the shrimp tempura appetizer, which was good. She had the lobster bisque, and the broth tasted very strange. Not at all what I'd been used to back in the northeast. She didn't finish her soup, and I wasn't about to help. Service was good, and the drinks were reasonable. The total before tip was $170 for the 2 appetizers, the entree, one side, and four drinks. So a reasonably priced meal. Or at least cheaper than what I'm used to back in Boston.

We had theater tickets and a 5:45 reservation. There was 1 other table eating and happy hour in the bar. First they tried to seat us next to the doorway, worst table in the restaurant, then moved us to one next to a curtain which separated the bar and dining room. It was so loud we couldn't hear ourselves speaking. We move again into a dining room with 1 other table occupied. Told us all other tables reserved.
Server was very good. Brought out their famous onion rings, but they were cold and sent them back. Returned hot and very good. My veal chop was undercooked, I asked for medium and was too rare. My partners pork chop was OK but not great. By the time all this was finished we had no time for desert. When we left the dining room was half full. We think they gave us such a bad table because we used Open Table for the reservation.
We will not be going back.

The ribeye was outstanding and the lobster topping made it even more scrumptious! However, the server forgot to bring both at the same time. Cocktails are strong but not very delicious. We were served 3 complimentary full-sized desserts (due to celebrating 3 special occasions). 1 drink was removed from our bill (due to a misunderstanding -- happy hour pricing is at the bar only, where we began our evening). We were seated before the official dinner start time (to accommodate the senior member of our group). We all agreed that the meat entrees were much tastier than the seafood. Order carefully and keep an eye on the prices.

Michael's food is fabulous as always. David , our server, was gracious and attentive. It was my birthday and they gifted me a divine enormous slice of chocolate cake with ice cream! This is an elegant and very special venue for any celebration, or just because you deserve a special treat!

My husband and I had a rare opportunity for a quiet evening out and this was the perfect spot. Food and service were wonderful, and it was quiet with just the right level of piano music in the background so we could talk. We enjoyed our time there very much!

Enjoyed piano player in bar - food was mediocre. Chicken liver appetizer was heavily breaded and way over cooked, lobster special - clams and mussels were really fishy tasting and corn was also overlooked. Waitress was pleasant, might try again but neither focus were thrilled with our entrees!

They didn't have stock of either of the first two wines I ordered. Although I made my reservation several weeks in advance, we were seat in front of a drape which was opened repeatedly by servers and employees who were then looking over my shoulder. I'm not certain what was on the other side of that drape but it was often being mistaken as an access way. Unless you are going for the Lobster Pot or enjoy a noisy atmosphere, avoid Friday nights. There was a piano player but we couldn't hear him over the noise. The food was excellent and the service was friendly and efficient. We just picked the wrong night to celebrate our 50th Anniversary. Friday night is not the night for a romantic dinner at Michael's.

We went to Michael's on East to celebrate Thanksgiving. The restaurant was beautiful, the food delicious, and the service impeccable. However, we found the restaurant very noisy and it was impossible to have a conversation, but it was very crowded due to the holiday. We agreed that it would be a nice place to return at a quieter time.

We had the Hungarian Epicurean Adventure dinner menu.
The Budapest Pork-Stuffed Cabbage was excellent.
On the other hand , the Wienerschnitzel was dry and mediocre. Nothing compared to a Wiennerschnitzel in Vienna at Figlmueller. Probabaly a different receipe in Budapest.
The Pan-Seared Red Snapper was ok.
The Gerbeaud Slices dessert was ok.
Overall I would call the meal as average.

We had dined at Michael's a few years ago and had a very nice meal. We decided to return and were very pleased with our meals. I had the Colony Snapper and my wife had the Pompano Casbarian. Both meals were excellent. Michael's has an extensive wine list and we enjoyed a bottle of Gavi di Gavi which is one of our favorite Italian white wines. Bases on our experience we will definitely go back.

This was our first visit to Michael's on East and it did not disappoint. The veal chop and the Colony snapper were our chosen entrees and they were both excellent. The service and ambiance were first rate. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
