Marco Prime Steak & Seafood Ratings and Reviews

Marco Prime is quickly becoming our favorite place for an excellent steak on Marco Island. The quality and cut of beef is exceptional. Presentation is nice and not overdone.
The interior dining is a nice ambiance but the noise level can get pretty loud.
The menu is Ala carte for main entrees, but sides are large enough to share.
There is also outside dining and a nice bar.

A must try is their lobster bisque! It's the real deal.
My favorite is the bass! A huge piece cooked to perfection with a huge amount of fresh homemade mashed creamy potatoes and sting beans!
My husband had the beef in a mushroom light cream sauce with them fried onions on top. It even came with s huge portion of mashed potatoes and asparagus !
Best desert on the island, fresh whip cream with chocolate chips on top is over a Kailua chocolate mousse! We flew down the past few months and every time we stop and eat here! No place on the island can beat this desert , if you like a slight coffee / chocolate desert!

What a find! This restaurant has been open three years, but I just became aware of it recently. It is among the best fine dining restaurants on Marco Island. The staff works as a team and every member is friendly and 100% service oriented. Herry, our server, could not have done more. He guided us through the menu, told us about specials, and focused on the restaurant's strengths after asking our tastes. While perusing the wine list, I saw a $50 bottle under Cabernet Sauvignon and Blends which intrigued me. No stranger to wine, I'd never seen The Pairings, by Screaming Eagle. Screaming Eagle is a small production California cult favorite which sells for hundreds and sometimes over $1,000, if you can find it. Herry verified that you have to be a member of "the club" to even get it. We took the plunge, after all, only $50. Well worth it; a blend of cab, merlot, cab franc, with a splash of sangiovese, it was delicious, specially considering the value. Now to the food. I decided on surf and turf--a 6-oz filet and 5-oz cold water lobster tail with asparagus and mashed potatoes. It was superb and prepared to perfection, although I would add the cabernet sauce to the steak in retrospect. My wife, for her birthday dinner, had the miso glazed sea bass. She said it was the best she ever had (which was an insult to me, since I do a mean Chilean sea bass on the grill). Herry's service, as well as that of other members of the team was exceptional. I highly recommend this place; perhaps the best on Marco.

Everything there is very, very good as they appear never to compromise quality. This helps the very competent kitchen deliver what you would expect. We all appreciated very friendly and professional front of the house as they keep a careful watch over everything.

I hate to give any restaurant a bad review but I can't recommend Marco Prime. We visited last week and I ordered grouper, which came overdone and dry. It's not an inexpensive restaurant and I felt like I had to send the fish back. My husband's steak and our creamed spinach side were fine. The manager was very good about it though, I really didn't want to wait on another entrée so she took the grouper off our bill, as well as the cost of our drinks.
We've eaten there before and everything's been fine so I'm not sure what happened. Grouper is a pretty prolific dish at island restaurants, and this was so wrong. Anyway I'm not sure about returning, but again, they did remove it from the bill as well as my wine and my husband's.

Nothing bad, we just thought the quality of the steaks was not typical of the price paid. We dine at other fine steak restaurants in the Ohio area that charge similar prices but the steaks were better. The kitchen messed up the eight ounce filet that was supposed to be medium rare with the six ounce filet that was supposed to be medium well.

Food was fantastic. Service was great as well. The only issue I had was we wanted a little more privacy. The restaurant was empty but we were seated at a table right next to another couple. That was my only issue. Other than that, it was perfect.

I visited this gem on a whim while I was down in Naples visiting family. I couldn't find a complaint about this restaurant if I tried. Paul, our server, was polite, attentive, informative, and positively fantastic. Our meal included the lobster bisque, surf and turf, whitefish ceviche, and the grouper dynamitos. Everything was perfection, especially the lobster bisque.
5/5 stars - can't wait to come back!

Food was good. Not best steakhouse I've been to, but solid. Service was ok, we were very rushed. They just cleared our appetizer plates and the main course came simultaneously. That's too quick in a place like this. I'd give it a solid B+.

I had the best surf and turf ever! My husband had jumbo scallops which were fabulous also. My filet was cooked to perfection. The smoked mashed potatoes were a nice surprise. The owner/manager came to our table to check on us and spent almost Ten minutes giving us tips on where to go and what to do as this is our first trip to Marco. All splendid including the fantastic creme brûlée!

Prime steaks? Perhaps. However, they were not cooked professionally. The meat was supposedly from Jimmy P's (local high class prime/waygu meat market), which we order from often. Yet the steaks we were served were dry and flavorless. When asked for Med Rare plus, or Medium Plus, we were told the would not do that. ?? So, as we can find better service and quality off island, we will drive there. This was our 3rd visit and basically 3 strikes= 3 fails. We wanted to love them but their food was over priced for the quality.

Chilean Sea Bass is the best in southwest Florida! Cooked golden to perfection with even a colorful purple flower near the mashed!
Do not go home before ordering the Kalua coffee desert! Chocolate chips with a cream that melts in your mouth!

We enjoy coming to Marco Prime, every time we are on the island! We would of liked our server (on this visit), to be a little more knowledgeable with recommendations on food and wine, and to be a little more attentive. We ordered the NY strip and it came out perfect. But what keeps us coming back, is the chocolate soufflé! It's a must!

Such a nice evening out for dinner. The restaurant has great ambiance. We were in a room near the kitchen, but there were only a few tables and it had doors that closed, which the staff did as they came and went. Made for a nice private feel even though we didn't know the others in the room. The staff were attentive but not intrusive. They took very good care of us.
The meal was delicious. One diner at our table had the bone-in rib eye, one had petite filet, 2 had surf & turf (Lobster and petite filet). Everything had great flavor! Just an overall great meal. We shared a chocolate souffle for dessert and it was a perfect ending to our meal.

We booked this having read the reviews on Trip Advisor. As suggested we asked for the burger menu which wasn't openly offered. The children had two fabulous burgers whilst I had the beef tips and my husband the pork ribs. Really can't fault the fault although it was pretty pricey. We didn't like where we were seated too much. We seemed to be in a seperate room with a big group of private diners. The atmosphere wasn't great and we would have preferred to be in the main restaurant. Service was good if not a little too attentive. As mentioned though the food was very good.

Excellent food even though restaurant appeared overwhelmed by an unexpected number of guests. Despite having a reservation, we were seated in an overflow room , which is a little noisy and plain. Service slower than on previous visits.

Marco Prime is one of my favorite restaurants on the Island. I am never disappointed with the food whether I eat inside and have a lovely dinner or at the bar for cocktail hour and have the bar menu.
Herry is a great server and adds fun to your dinner with his personality.
