Maggiano's - Annapolis Ratings and Reviews
We had an amazing evening. It was a "GIRLS NIGHT OUT" and none of us could decide where we wanted to eat and so we chose to eat at a restaurant that none of had been to before.
Well with a group of picky women, we were all extremely satisfied, actually more than satisfied. We were astounded by the food, atmosphere and friendly staff.
Maggiano's is a must for all occasions.
Our waiter was very attentive and informative, this was our first time visiting the restaurant and he told us all about the scratch kitchen and specials on the menu. We went with the dinner for two deal getting calamari for an appetizer, eggplant parm and fettuccini for our meals, and a hazelnut cheesecake to share. All was quickly delivered and delicious. Additionally, with the meal we were also able to get two entrees to go, taking spaghetti and lasagna to go. It was great deal and we really enjoyed it. The manager also came out and welcomed us, giving us a small bag of cookies and letting us know about the weekend brunch which starts in two weeks. Would definitely go again!
Consistently satisfying food quality, variety, quantity at a very reasonable price (get appetizer, dessert, and four entrees for $42 with the Marco Meal. Find a $10 internet coupon for added savings). The setting is comfortable, the servers always friendly and top-notch, the chef features new items continually, and they take OpenTable reservations (recommended to avoid the inevitable wait). Great for couples as well as large groups. Enjoy!
We went for Valentine's Day, so expected a crowd, but 45" wait even with a reservation. The service was surprisingly fast for the large crowd. The food is good, and reasonably priced. It was pretty noisy- the tables are pretty close together, so maybe not the best place for a date. We had a gift card, so the price was right!
We were there the Saturday before Valentines Day and it was Packed. If I had to complain about anything it would be the wait even though we had a reservation. We found out that it was the busiest day in about two years so the wait was understandable. I think they overbooked a bit.
Other than that it was great. Incredible food and desert for a chain restaurant. A couple steps above anything in its class. They were very accommodating to my wife who has some allergies. Manager came directly to our table and consulted with the chef to make sure everything was perfect for her. Service was excellent and wait for food was very reasonable give the how busy they were.
The restaurant is not what you would call romantic, especially when this busy but for great food, on a birthday or similar event it would be very worth it. With a couple adult beverages etc. it was abbout $50 a person. All in All Really Good....
My family visited to celebrate my father's 71st birthday. The initial interaction with our server was good. He was both cordial and informative. That is the end of the positive notes. Our customer service drastically decreased after we ordered our initial appetizers. The appetizers, and every other segment of our 4 course meal, took well over 20 minutes each to be delivered to the table after ordering. When second portions were ordered, over another 20 minutes. By the way, during these long breaks between servings, our server did not bother to check on us. Our glasses were not even refilled with water. The server prepared our table with olive oil in a dish but during the 3 hours it took to get our food, we never received a basket of bread; which is probably a good thing because we had no water. The glazed salmon was terribly overcooked and our order of the Tuscan chicken and shrimp was wrong three times! I was shocked that the staff allowed our finished plates to pile up on the table as they walked by and made no effort to remove the plates. Perhaps I could understand if the restaurant was busy but the place was half full when we arrived. In the end, there was only an unbelieving "I apologize for the order" from one of the servers. There were no offers to make amends for the horrible service but the staff was quick to retrieve my debit card for the $250 bill. This was not that standard that has been set by other locations, not what I expected, and not how I wanted my dad to celebrate his birthday.
I have been to plenty of other Maggiono's and if you're interested in good food with good service, do yourself a favor and stay away from the Annapolis, Md. location.
The food was acceptable but not amazing. Our server was missing most of the meal and by the time they took our order 45 minutes after being seated, the table of four next to us (who was seated after us, ordered, and was served) left. At about 90 minutes into the wait our food showed up mostly warm. I would have lobbied to walk out but we were there for a birthday and leaving after wasting an hour would have been more annoying.
I have been here twice and the first trip was not as bad, but neither time has been worth the trouble or cost. I had hoped for better offerings despite being a mall diner. I will likely try once more in a few months to give staff a chance to turnover.
We met with friends at this location. We usually go to Columbia mall location. It was pretty busy, which was fine. We were seated and service started out great...but after first round of drinks and bread, the server kinda disappeared. Had to ask for refills and more bread (bread was very hard). At the end of our meals, we boxed up our own food, then the server brought out one bag with all 4 take home dishes and I quote "Here's your take home, do you need another bag"? CLEARLY we were not all 4 going back to the same house. She literally brought one more bag so the 4 of us shoved our take home and left overs in one bag each. After we paid we sat and visited for awhile. It wasn't as busy, but she did come back and asked if something was wrong?? Lol
Quinton and Giovonnie (spelling?) were very attentive and polite!! The food was fabulous and what a great time. Thank you for the great food and great service - what more could we want? I am so glad you have the Annapolis location - I have traveled to Tysons Corner in the past. Again, job well done!!!
We stopped in here in the midst of a long road trip. We found friendly, fast service, great food and a great value. It was crowded and noisy but it's a big place and it was a Saturday night so this is to be expected. Great choices, we really enjoyed our meal and attentive service. Thanks!
