About Le Vigne at Montaluce Winery
Food culture is very important to the kitchen at Le Vigne Restaurant, more specifically, local food culture. We believe that food and the sharing of food builds community, especially if the food and wine that is shared is rooted within the community. That is why we not only produce wine from grapes grown in our own vineyard, but grow produce in our own organic garden on the property. What we don’t produce ourselves, we source from the local farms. We want to be able to provide our guests with local, sustainable foods as well as provide the local artisans and farmers an outlet for their hard work. At the beautiful Le Vigne Restaurant, situated high above the vineyards, guests will discover a dedication to honoring the flavors of our region throughout each of the four seasons in a menu that changes regularly to reflect the best of what is available.

We have been to LeVigne many times and like to bring friends visiting from out of town as it is different and the food is really good. On this occasion, once we were seated our waiter gave us the menus and asked if we had questions. Several people asked about wines but he could not answer any of the questions. He had someone come to assist and he could not answer any questions either. In the past our servers had some knowledge of the wines. We ordered two cheese trays to go with the wine. They came but the wine did not until we were finished with the cheese. It took forever for our orders to be taken and forever for the food to come. We were told the kitchen was behind. The food was very good and we love the atmosphere, but if this happens again I am not sure we would make the 40 minute drive.

We were on a short vacation to explore the Northeast Georgia wine area. Dinner topped off a delightful day of wine tasting, with a lovely dinner, in a beautiful setting, with an excellent meal including wine from the Montaluce Winery. Service was well paced, food properly prepared, served by well trained wait staff.

ALSO, I meant to write that we had to wait a very long time before our food arrived at our table.
I ate at Montaluce for the first time in August of this year and the food was superb to say the least!! I ate there again for lunch on October 19, 2016 and the food was not good. My friend had the chicken dish. The chicken had skin on it and was on the bone. Not good. My meatless squash entrée was ok.

Because it was our 30th anniversary, we wanted to celebrate in a special place. The servers were great but the food and the presentation were only average.
We felt the lack of lighting on the drive in was unsafe. The location is beautiful.

Went for just dessert and a glass of wine for our anniversary with 2:00 seating. The dessert was excellent, service outstanding and ambiance fantastic. We dined inside, but would have loved patio seating; sadly unavailable. Love to bring friends here, and will definitely go again.

Montaluce is just beautiful - the food was amazing and the atmosphere is great. My friend and I had the perfect date for lunch on the balcony on a beautiful day in North Georgia. Cannot wait to return with friends and share.

Food was excellent. Service was lacking after our wine bottle was empty. Our waiter quit checking on us and totally forgot to bring us our coffee or dessert menu... I was very disappointed in our waiter's lack of attention for the last part of our meal. We decided to forego our dessert and coffee due to this!

Having been to some of the other wineries in North Georgia we wanted to try Montaluce. The facility and setting are fantastic. Hard to believe you are in Georgia. Having visited many wineries in other parts of the country this takes a backseat to no one.
Wines were great albeit a little expensive. Lunch was an enigma. Food preparation and flavor was excellent but I think ours sat for a time before it was brought to us. While the plates had been warmed the food itself was cool. The lamb was over cooked to almost medium well and the side was dry and cool. The trout had outstanding flavor and preparation but the fish and accompaniments were on the cooler side, again despite the plate being warmed. The butternut soup was steaming hot and had great flavor even though we were told by our server when ordering the soup of the day was a cream of mushroom. We overheard other servers telling other patrons about the soup so we enjoyed what we were brought.
Our server was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the dishes and preparation but we were never asked if we wanted bread yet we saw it brought to other tables. My water glass was never refilled.
Despite some missteps it was a very enjoyable experience. The setting and views were amazing and all the staff were most pleasant and cheerful.

We come here every year for my mother's birthday. This year we were disappointed because the menu didn't match what was offered online. The menu was filled with expensive entrees and lacked sandwiches. When we asked our waiter about this, he looked confused, went back to the kitchen to ask, and discovered that they had left items off the new menu accidentally. Was an easy fix because we were able to order the lunch items, but had we not mentioned it, we would have had to spend double than we planned, which would have been very frustrating. The food was amazing as always. The service was wonderful.

WE were so please to find the vineyard and restaurant open on a Monday.
It is such an incredible setting! It could easily be Tuscany!
We had a wonderful meal, visiting with our out-of-town guests and loved many of the wines!

Very beautiful location. Drove from Atlanta so a very long drive for a meal. Had previously had a wine tasting which I enjoyed very much.
We had Sunday brunch for large family group. Took a very long time for the food to arrive and it was cold. My meal which was brunch food was only average.
My Mom who is 87 years old received the wrong meal so she had to wait while a new meal was cooked about 20 minutes. They did comp her meal which was nice.
The waiter was very nice.
I was very excited about this outing so it was disappointing about the food.

This is one of the most beautiful places I've been to in Georgia! We didn't get to do a wine tasting or walk around most of the facility because a wedding (I wish that had been announced on their website), but it was still an amazing experience. Food was great, wine was great, view was spectacular! Can't wait to go again when we can enjoy the whole experience. The manager was super helpful and accommodating despite the on-site event limiting our access.

It was late lunch for 6. Our second trip there, but not our last, by any means. The drive is about an hour, and it is sooo worth it! We had a variety of dishes, all were outstanding. I cannot believe this place is so far from anywhere, but also so packed every day! However, upon reflection, I can believe it; it is just that good! Go, and soon! We love the pace!

Food was wonderful and inventive without being too complicated. OMG, the cheese plate! Enough to share and delicious. Like that the restaurant uses many local purveyors. Beautiful view, attentive staff. We'll go back!

Cold enough in the dining room to hang meat. Wore slacks and a golf shirt and was uncomfortable throughout brunch. Took FOREVER to get our food. Young waitress was amicable but apologized several times for the delay in getting the food out. Food was good but just warm, not hot. Dining room is beautiful and the Vineyard vista from the dining room is gorgeous. Nonetheless, pretty much consider this one and done.

We were there for brunch at 11:30am on Sunday and they were out of regular coffee. Additionally the special was French Toast with a blackberry glaze and they were out of the blackberry glaze but I wasn't told that until I received my breakfast. The food was good but we were slightly disappointed in the lack of coffee and the glaze (especially at 11:30am on Sunday).

This was a special find in North Georgia. It's an easy drive from Atlanta and only 10-15 minutes past Dahlonega. The setting is beautiful as is the structure itself. Plus, you'll drive past some very Italian - looking homes. Various rooms inside have great decor and the outside covered dining is nice and comfortable and overlooks the vineyards from up high. However, the view at Wolf Mountain Vineyards nearby is far superior.
Like most new vineyards, their grapes need many more years of aging to produce great wines. The wines were okay, but pricey given their quality. Yet, something has to pay for these beautiful locations, right!
The menu includes choices that allow you to have a reasonably priced meal or you can go for the entrees which, in my opinion, were a bit pricey. I ordered the scallops, which were excellent, but the risotto was way too rich and heavy to accompany scallops. (The same comment was made to the management who seemed most appreciative.) My wife had rainbow trout, which was excellent.
Service was excellent and the people are genuine about providing a good experience.

Brunch was good. Had the French toast with scrambled eggs and potatoes. Toast was great, eggs average, potatoes dry. Their Montaluce Petit Syrah was very good and we bought a bottle to take home. The ambiance, building details, Tuscan feel, and countryside with grape vines and rolling hills are wonderful.

Atmosphere and views are great. Service was pretty good but not great. Appetizer was good and plentiful. Brunch Food was only adequate but w price point as it is should have been better. Brunch potatoes over cooked. Scrambled eggs cold

We love coming here if it's is just the two of us for a special occassion or bringing family or friends from out of town. We love everything about the the vineyard. The folks who work here are wonderfully friendly and helpful. So accomadating and thoughtful. We have been several times now and it is always memorable. Thank you, Pam and Tim L.

The ambiance is beautiful with the vineyard in sight, however the food was not that great. My mom had the tomato soup and she said it tasted like canned soup. We had brunch items that were fair. The only pleasing item off the menu were the cocktails. For such a stunning venue, the food needs to be much better.

The food was outstanding! The beef cured in red wine, and the pepperoni were excellent, as were the local cheeses. The salmon was really good, however, the beef and pepperoni outclassed the salmon. My wife had the ribeye, which almost melted in her mouth. Quite possibly the best ribeye she has ever had! I had the honey pork loin, and it was delicious. For dessert, we had the chocolate layer cake and the peach upside-down cake. Both were fabulous! We had the Pinot Grigio with the appetizers, and the Georgia Super Rose with our entrees. Both wines were sweet, without being too sweet, and were an excellent accompaniment to our meals. Our only issue was that the sun was setting, and was too bright for us to sit and look directly out onto the vineyard. We had to sit at an angle - still able to see the vineyard - just getting the sun directly out of our eyes! All in all, it was a wonderful meal, and we will be going back.

Montaluce is beautiful, and we had a great time on our visit. For lunch I had the rainbow trout, and my friend had a burger. Both were delicious. We also shared a red wine flight during our lunch, which was a fun addition to the lunch. The server was lovely and very attentive.

The place is absolutely beautiful but be sure to get there during daylight hours so you can see it. It is pitch black on the roads to and from the winery/restaurant.
The food was very good - except for a salad that had been sitting around a little too long. There was a special occasion party taking place upstairs but very few diners in the restaurant. Waiter was attentive and very knowledgeable.
