Food was great. Service a little slow considering restaurant was not crowded.
They are trying but
The are very happy to make any dish on the menu veg or vegan which is a big plus. The eggplant starter was outstanding. The rest of the food was good but nothing special. The service was ok. There was a bit to much of the "How is everything?" type of check-in and not enough promptness in order taking. The one thing that will keep me from ever going back, however, was the noise level. My wife and I practically had to shout at each other to carry on a conversation.

I love this place it's Thai food with a Cajun twist!! I've tried several Thai places and they're by far the best!!!!
Good appetizers, good food, good atmoshpere!
Located in a nice spot in uptown New Orleans Garden District off Prytania next door to Creole Creamery. The appetizers were delicious and the recommended entree, Crab 3 Ways, is excellent!!! Great service. The ambience is nice, not too loud, with low lighting (but not too low). Perfect restaurant for a "date night."

Great Thai restaurant
It is very good. Much better than a typical thai restaurant in the US. The only drawback is that the prices are quite high for a thai restaurant.

This was our second visit to this restaurant and our meals were just as good as the first time. We also had Cory as our server again. He is very attentive to our needs and always makes good menu recommendations. We'll be back.

cold, loud, and busy staff but food was very good
The building has a concrete floor and open ceiling and was quite noisy and cold when we were there. The fish was done perfectly, the portions are not too large, which I appreciate. The staff was pleasant but maybe overworked as the appetizer came out very fast, but then there was probably 30 min. before the entree, and hard to get his attention to get the bill. Overall good food but there are so many amazing places to eat in New Orleans, I don't think we'll be back anytime soon.
Solid Thai Fusion
La Thai offers outstanding Thai food but with a South Louisiana twist to some dishes. Traditional Thai is very good and the creative dishes shine. On a recent visit I ordered surf and turf special, which while a bit pricey, was stellar. A tender, flavorful filet mignon topped with a fried softshell crab and some lump crabmeat! Wow. Getting again just writing about it. Service was attentive without being too fussy.

Great food, service, and atmosphere
Was my first visit, and was a great one. I am a curry fanatic, and their red was among the best I've ever had. Great, attentive service and though they were out of my date's favorite wine, the substitute they recommended was very good. Definitely will come back and recommend it to my friends.

La Tahi is always good!
The entries are always delicious and complex. This time we got the more standard fare: crab cakes and Phat Woon Sen. And they were delicious as well! Good service, nice wine list. We will return.

First time at this location. Was looking for a nice northern Italian restaurant. Very nice corner location near French market. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful. We had bruchetta which was fresh and tasted great! Our main dishes were the Italian sausage pasta and lasagna both were very good. The chocolate "cookie" and lemon desert were both excellent. Would definitely go back.
Try the Eat Fit options!
We arrived late on a Sunday evening, famished! One of us had the soup and the red fish from the Eat Fit menu - delicious! The other member of our party had the pecan crusted oyster salad and the Drunken Noodles. The oysters were fabulous, the noodles were a tad too sweet for us. All in all, an enjoyable meal. It is a bit loud, not easy to carry on a conversation.

This was my third visit in 6 months. My wife has visited more often. We love the food, the decor is lovely and the owner/manager has made us feel welcome. This place is an Uptown treat.
Credit Card Info Stolen -Ruined Great Meal/Service
A great family holiday gathering (12/23/15) at La Thai was ruined when the credit card info used for paying the bill was stolen & unsuccessfully used for an unauthorized purchase! Thank goodness for fraud alerts!! This was very embarrassing for us locals after highly recommending La Thai to our group which included family from San Francisco, New York, and Texas. We had to visit the restaurant to report this incident (late 12/26/15) because our telephone calls were not acknowledged or returned. Then insult was added to injury - there was a total lack of concern displayed by the employee who received report of the theft. Our best recommendation is to pay your bill with cash $$$.

Food was good as usual just the portions were smaller, especially the stuffed Red Fish special.
This is always a lovely spot for lunch. I had coupons, by one lunch and get one free. This was very nice!
I'll get straight to the point. My fiance and I found this hidden gem a couple of months ago and have been hooked since. The food, service and ambiance are all CONSISTENLY on target! It's in the heart of New Orleans' most upscale neighborhood (The Garden District) and it represents the neighborhood VERY WELL!!! ENJOY!!!
Happy, Happy, Happy
Never been let down at La Thai. Press Duck to die for, Crispy Oysters were a rare find. In City known for their Oyster dishes this one is right their at the very top.

Really nice ambiance and plenty of tables. Got a quick lunch here. Hot and sour soup was delicious. Drunken noodle was different than what I'm used to and tasted more like a lo mein but was still good-lots of fresh veggies in it and a good portion of shrimp and chicken. Would definitely recommend.
