Kyoto Palace Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Food was as good as ever. The chef cooking our food was very good. Waitress wasnt the best as we never got my daughter's soup and my wife's diet coke without having to ask her about it after it didnt show up. Also... I had forgotten how noisy it gets in there. Especially when they seat a group of 10 noisy 20 somethings in the next table.
Any time a special occasion comes up or just a need for really great food and an amazing time I always suggest Kyoto palace. Never had bad service bad food or a bad chef. I can always count on Kioto to be a place that I am going to get what I pay for and have an amazing time thank you
Was very disappointed , this was a very special date with my girl ... was sat a table with 3 other people ... that's it !!! Are you kidding me ? Boring doesn't even cover it !!! Food was cooked with way too much oil on everything except meat , will not not come back , will not recommend !!!!
Love Kyoto Palace! Everyone has their own "Iron Chef" and the dining experience is fun and engaging. Depending on the size of your party, you may be seated with another group; it makes it even more fun to meet others while the Chef is preparing the food. The California Roll is a favorite as well as the Gyoza and I always order the fried rice option ($ extra but worth it)! I also ask the Chef for special request (no onions) and they are always willing to make it happen! One helpful hint...due to the nature of the grilling entertainment, I would suggest you wear something washable and that you don't mind leaving the restaurant with a bit of the BBQ aroma on your clothing! Enjoy!
My daughter had been asking to go to Kyoto Palace for a year now. We decided to celebrate her birthday and the completion of her first week of high school. This place did not disappoint! We had a great chef, who cracked jokes and kept us on our toes the whole time! The food was delicious and all the servers were very kind. A great night was had by everyone.
Food was great, kids had a wonderful time and our actual waiter and chef were amazing. Only reson I did not score higher was the attitude of the host when we arrived - He was very short, rude and failed to update us on numerous occasions so we sat down to eat more than an hour after our booking. We were very happy to wait but did not expect to be ignored and have to remind him that we were still there on several occasions. Not the cheapest option and we are there on a fairly regular basis, so expected more. Will probably think twice about going again.
I came here b/c i had family visiting from out of town. We were in the corner end. Both groups in front and behind were drunk, noisy and roudy. I was there with my family including 2 children. The cook was great with them but no one was able to hear him well because the people around us were so loud and DRUNK. For the amount we spent i was disappointed by the enviroment at that time. I wish the restuarnt had cut them off at the bar or spoken to them to quiet down
We stopped in San Jose over our vacation. Found this gem using Open Table. Very happy with our experience. The restaurant is a little run down, but that is easily forgotten as you are entertained by the freshly prepared supper right before your eyes. We would definitely stop by if we ever come through town again. Delicious food!
