Showed up early to enjoy a cocktail. Table was ready 30 minutes early. Said I wanted to enjoy a drink waiter said well it's ready now. No big deal except I was charged full price on the drinks where they were happy hour prices in the bar. Not right.

The restaurant was very noisy, the decor looked like it needed to be cleaned or updated. It looked like there was some grease residue covering the walls making the Asian decor dingy. We thought the fan above our table was not pulling out the smoke so there was smoke from the cooking at our side of the table. I think the food is a bit overpriced but freshly cooked obviously. I didn't think my cocktail was worth $12.
The wait staff was really attentive, they were on top of our order even though our table was full.

Because of they style of cooking at the table, there is a fast paced feel which can detract from having a slow relaxing dinner. I can bet very load and difficult to have simple conversation. The restaurant definitely serves the purpose of an energetic fun place to go that other don't offer.

You come for the experience at these types of specialty restaurants. Kyoto Palace has a nice ambiance. Service is pretty good. There are a lot of food combinations to choose from, but this is no fine dining experience. Food is good, but not excellent. It's a fun experience to have and great for special celebrations. It should be noted that, when full, the restaurant is LOUD. You'll definitely need to shout at your dining mates. All in all, a fun experience. We'll go back if someone requests it.

We went for my son's birthday, we waited a half an hour even though we had reservations. Our rice showed up after the table chef was finished. The food was very mediocre, nobody liked their food. The only good thing was the fried rice and the cocktails.
The wait staff were nice but not too prompt. Also, the interior of the restaurant is very run down and doesn't look clean. One of the walls on the East end of the restaurant was not a finished wall, but ply wood. That must be a code violation.
I don't think I'll be coming back.

The restaurant was VERY noisy, so don't expect to have a conversation with anyone but the person right next to you. Also, it really depends on what chef you get. Many of them were entertainers as well. Unfortunately, we had a a grumpy Russian chef who never smiled or engaged us at all. The food is good, but you pay for the performance element of the cooking process. This guy just went through the motions and looked like he'd rather be at the dentist than cooking for us. A big disappointment for my friend's 80th birthday. 😢

Came here for a birthday dinner. Reserved a table for 10 at 8 oclock at night. The restaurant had my whole party wait almost 40 minutes! Didn't get seated until almost 9pm didn't start eating until going on almost 945 since they do Cook the food right in front of you. Very disappointed in that since I did have a reservation. Nevertheless the food was good. Next time I go back maybe they'll haveit together

it was my sons bday and our chef did no clanking with the utensils or nor did he put on a show, i don't think he smiled once.
the food was okay i ordered medium rare filiet mignon and it was so raw i could not eat it. sorry i would have liked to rate higher but simple > our chef sucked!

We booked it for our anniversary dinner on Sat night. With advanced reservation, we got settled to our table that shared with other guests quick. The service is fair and efficient but the menu is a little confusion. We ordered a Kyoto Special ($43) and Seafood special ($40) but they messed up my Kyoto with something else ($26). The chef was boring, he is showing little enthusiasm or smile that you would expect from Japanese restaurants as this. He does not say/ ask much. The food is also fair and average, not much to say.
We don't think we will come back again though

We tried Kyoto after not having dined there for a very long time. Arrived early and were seated quickly and the staff were all very pleasant. However, the smell of grease and the lack of cleanliness were horrible. Sorry to say we won't be going back. It needs a complete overhaul from ceiling to carpet for cleaning.

I was very pleased with the service at Kyoto Palace. I went with my family for my birthday celebration, and everyone was very energetic and nice. Our chef was great, and it was a good experience watching him cook our food right in front of us. The lobster, scallops, and filet mignon were particularly delicious, and I would recommend Kyoto Palace for any special occasion.

Our group of 9 were seated quickly and waited on expertly. As with all teppanyaki places, it was pretty noisy but everyone was having a good time. Food was good but nothing spectacular. My one complaint was it was quite smoky in the dining area. They need to invest in better over grill hoods.

Our server was awful. We've been there so many times and we come especially for our kids birthdays as they like the singing. Our server didn't initiate the singing and banging on the hood vent so I had to get up and do it. We brought our own wine and it took her 20 mins to open bottle. We were never asked if we wanted more cocktails. I was very very disappointed.

Service lacking, we were never asked how we were doing or for refills, would have had another cocktail, but server was not readily available. Chicken was very different in texture from previous experiences, was it even real? Been going there for years and this was a different experience.

Service was fast and courteous. Everything was very reasonably priced. I will be back for the Kyoto special (one of my favorites), and the unagi nigiri was delicious.
Tip: Parking in lot, usually gets very busy, but it's free and there's plenty of it.

I've always enjoyed Kyoto Palace for both the food and the dining experience but we didn't enjoy the dining experience last Friday night as we felt like we were being rushed through the entire meal. Eight of us were there to celebrate my daughter in law's 30th birthday and we brought our own wine since it was a special occasion. Our waitress was intent on refilling half empty wine glasses in an attempt to drain our bottles before dinner was even served, I'm assuming this was so that we would order more. She was friendly but we got the distinct impression throughout the whole meal that we were being rushed so they could fit in the next group. In terms of the food, it was just ok, whereas on other occasions, it was pretty tasty. Not sure what to say other than maybe they were having an off night, but for the $ we spent, I wish we had gone elsewhere.

had never been there before and i made reservations to celebrate my husband's birthday. our wait for a table was great, almost immediately. the waitresses are awesome and very attentive. the chef to our surprise and liking spoke Spanish. he was very quiet but attentive and entertaining! the food portions were perfect. it seemed like small amounts but WOW! very filling and we even took some home!
thank you Kyoto and its employees for a wonderful experience! will definitely go again!

This place is always good. I think we had a relatively new cook, as he did engage with our group much. The food was tasty as always and the cost is still reasonable! It's our go to place when we want a place to take a large group.

Cook was very sloppy. Was trying to hard to be funny. When he was pouring the sauces he made a mess and the sauce was all over the dishes . He also had rice everywhere. He had an extra bowl of fried rice and instead of sharing it with those that had fried rice, he put it off to the side and took it away. I have always loved Kyoto Palace but was very disappointed this time. A very very messy cook. It was disgusting
