First time to Kona. My wife and I had a great experience starting with the staff at the front door. Very nice, professional. She answered my questions about Open Table since it was my first time using it for reservations. We then went to the bar for a drink while waiting for our table. Bar tender was great.
Our server, Samantha.......amazing. She took the time to explain the different menu options and answered our questions. Very attentive to our needs as we ate. Can't say enough good things about Samantha. We will definitely be back and hope she is our server again.
Thank you for the great meal and atmosphere!!!!!
Pad thai noodles where hard and the lettuce for my chicken wrap was to small tp wrap. Me and my wife have upset stomachs after our meal
This was our first time to Kona Grill. We normally go out to eat in downtown Boise but decided to try something different. Eagle Rd is no fun, but The Village is a nice place to walk and shop and the Kona Grill was exceptional.
We found the food prepared well and the service just right. Well worth battling the traffic on Eagle Rd once in
As always great food and great service. Pretty noisy, so if you’re looking for a quiet place on a Friday night, this is not the place
went to Kona for a business lunch, the food and service was excellent, the manager was great and let us pick where we wanted to sit so we could converse with our clients. looking forward to our next trip to Kona. thanks to all for a great experience.
good food, good service, good atmosphere, great experience, we definitely plan to go there again
I’ve been to Kona twice. The first time was in the summer and I sat on the patio. It was noisy but my friends and I were able to have a conversation. The second time I was in a booth and couple rows across from the kitchen and my sister and I had to almost yell back and forth to have a conversation. Food overall was good. I felt the service was friendly and helpful and the food-to-table time was really good considering they were so busy.
Sea bass was good but a little to greasy. Service was excellent.
Los Vegas Roll! Yummm
Good food cool atmosphere
Always good food and drink. Haven't had a bad meal.
The service and atmosphere was great. The sushi was not good at all. It was maybe close or worse than grocery store sushi. I hate making negative reviews. But the sushi I ate really upset my stomach alot afterwards. I wouldn't recommend getting the sushi.
The food was perfectly prepared without an abnormal wait time even though it was Valentines Day and every table was full. The waitstaff were friendly and available and gracious when dealing with the rude people next to us.
Went for Valentine's day with a gift card I received for my birthday and let me tell you, we WILL be back asap! I had a club sandwich and it was literally the best club I have EVER had! Cooked to perfection! Thank you Kona Grill for making our Valentine's day extra special this year!
This experience was mostly great. Although when my wife picked up her water glass the bottom blew off. The staff said that this was a regular occurrence and they were in the process of replacing these water glasses. However in the process water and ice cubes flew around and got my wife wet. Although the manager came over to see if we were "all right," he seemed very tentative and did not want to address the issue directly. I think he was trying to avoid a possible request for compensation or some such issue.
It's ok, plenty of better sushi places in Boise.
Felt like our service was bad. When a keg is blown offer the beer to the patron or toss it out no one wants bottom of the barrel.
Also, waited 10minutes after I got my food to get the appetizer. Guess that was my mistake for ordering at the same time. No napkins for us to use. Overall disappointed, usually it's good if you dine in and not at the bar.
I made a reservation and expected that in me doing that I would have a nice seat my party of 4 was crammed in a dark back area were 4 other tables of people were crammed in to and you could not walk in between the isle. We should have gotten a nice seat in the main seating area! Thats why I called and made reservations. Not to mention reservation or not no one should have been shoved in a back corner like that with no leg room and other groups shoved in around us! Because of the way we were treated good food or not we will not be back!
Had a good meal and enjoyed the atmosphere.
Garrett was our server and he was Awesome!
Kona is not our regular place to go but, we do know that we will have a good time and eat well when we do come to Kona.
Food here has been real hit and miss. One time it was great and really made me want to come back, then the next time, not so much. I don't do the sea food so maybe that would be better, but I really don't intend on going back any time soon. Better food can be had elsewhere for a better price.
Fantastic food, very attentive service without being overbearing. Arrived early for a 5:30 p.m. reservation on a Saturday and was seated immediately, and within 30 minutes the restaurant was nearly full. Highly recommend making a reservation, particularly on weekends, or you'll wait...but the food and service are definitely worth the wait!
Good as any place to eat at the village.
Great food and service.
Very dissaopointed in the pricing with my son's meal who has a gluten allergy. It cost me 12 dollars to feed him through the kids meal. Unacceptable
Restaurant was very crowded. Service was slow but the food was very good, well prepared.
Our go to place for dinner and a movie. I enjoy the sushi and the sake very much.
Super busy and very loud. Sushi was decent.
My family loves Kona Grill. They have great sushi! My favorite is the peppered tuna. The service is always very great too. Make a reservation ahead of time!
Date sucked the Kona was great
Been to Kona a few times, the sushi is always a hit and a miss. I guess anyone with a sushi roller can make sushi, the fish quality is meh, the tuna is meh, the rolls are skimpy on happy hour compared to regular so don't expect you're saving any money.
Our server was very attentive and made us feel at home.
The food and atmosphere is amazing. Located in the middle of the village plaza with a great patio and right next to the water fountain shows. This is definitely a go to spot for our family.
Always a good time with friends and Kona familiar faces.
It was a special occasion. The server was outstanding, the very best. As always the food was very good as were the drinks. Go there it is great!
New Year’s Eve
So good, nice people! Online reservation worked flawlessly. Delish filet oscar!
We were there for NYE Dinner. Robin was our server. She was awesome! She helped us by recommending a couple of her favorites on the menu. She was right! She was kind, checked on us several times and the food was fabulous!
Immediately seated and the server was prompt and friendly. Meals were cery good and well presented.
We went here to have dinner with friends. Reservations were easy to make using the open table app. We were seated quickly. Staff was friendly. Good and drinks were good. Only con was the noise level, extremely loud. Luckily we were seated way at the back so it was tolerable.
We had reservations and arrived early. They seated us anyway and were very gracious while we were waiting for our friends to arrive.
Very good food, had flank steak and filet mignon . Both were fantastic and cooked perfectly ! Getting drinks in the dining room from the bar involved a long wait time. The noise level was a little over the top. We could not speak across the table at a normal level. Overall had a fantastic meal !
