As always, had a great meal at KG. Both the service and food were top notch. I have no idea what is in the Seafood Fusion soup but it is magical! It is a bit pricey but we have never had a bad meal here. Wish they would bring back the shortrib pappardelle.

A regular special occasion restaurant for me, dinner here the other night did not disappoint. We ate early, and that usually insures good service. In fact, we were waited on immediately for drinks, then bread, and placed our order. As we do often, we ordered four items from the appetizer menu and shared them. The lamb chops are superb -moist and wonderfully spiced; the melted gorgonzola cheese with chutney and walnuts served with toast points is a favorite; the crab cakes were light and moist; and the clams were in a slightly spicy peppered broth. We split the dessert as well, which ws complimentary as one of us was having a birthday. My dinner companion enjoyed her wine choice. It was a delightful evening.

We enjoyed dining at the Kincaid Grill this past Tuesday as a way to help celebrate my oldest daughter's 24th birthday, the service was great, the food and wine selection was excellent and we had a really nice time!!

Excellent eclectic menu. Alaska oyster starter was divine. Salad choices were also with the poached pear and Gorgonzola of special note. The duck was a great choice for me and my wife's salmon preparation was solid also. We will be back!

This was our first visit to Kincaid grill. The food was excellent, the service was attentive, but we had to sit at a high top table by the front door. We had reservations for 8pm on a Thursday evening, our 15th wedding anniversary. When we arrived we were told it was going to be quite a while due to fact that they were over booked. So we took the table willingly knowing they closed in 2 hours we did not want to feel like we had to hurry. I will say over all it made the whole experience kind of disappointing. I would still recommend this restaurant for their food, but maybe not on a special occasion

To me, Kincaid Grill is one of Anchorages premier dining spots. Always friendly, helpful, attentive but not intrusive, and the menu items are carefully prepared for optimum taste and eye appeal. Parking is never a problem and the ambiance is quiet and elegant. I hope they are around for a very long time.

Went to Kincaid Grill to Celebrate my wife's 50th Birthday'. I was surprised how lax the dress code was. Service was excellent. The Fish-fusion-soup was excellent and I would have that again for breakfast, lunch and dinner any time. The King Crab Cakes was top notch. Had Rack of Lamb for main dish, perfectly cooked, thought the bean/kale salad was a little out of place, would have liked a starch. My wife had a salad which she said was very tasty, the filet mignon perfectly cooked and one of the better dishes she has had ever had. Found our favorite wine, a Leap Stag which worked out perfectly with our meals. We will definitely find our way back.

I wish I'd eaten here years ago. Best meal I've ever had in memory. Our server, Elle, was friendly and knowledgable about the menu. The entire wait staff were outstanding in seeing to guests needs without intruding. Will definitely dine there again next time I'm in Anchorage.

We chose to dine at the Kincaid Grill on a Tues eve. The Grill was busy but not full. Our group found the staff to be professional and friendly. The presentation and quality of the meal was excellent. The fact that it took over an hour to get served detracted from an otherwise very nice dinner experience.

Typically stop here for appetizers and drinks but chose Kincaid for a special birthday dinner. We sat in the back room and the ambiance, service, and food were perfect. This is very subjective and may not reflect the norm but I've been consistently happy with Kincaid and this is the first dining experience in quite a while that didn't fall short somewhere.

This kitchen always does an outstanding job with all of their fish preparations. I have had the salmon with mushrooms many times, as well as scallops and halibut. Teeming with flavor, nicely presented, and never overcooked.

Sweet to have such a quality bistro in Sand Lake. Quiet atmosphere and good service. Crab cakes were outstanding! Cesar salad was tasty as was the chocolate po de creme. Don't tell your wife, the prettiest hostess on the planet.

I had not been here since last summer. The food and service have if anything become better. I was greeted warmly, & immediately seated and given menu & wine list. The server explained the nightly specials, which sounded do good it was difficult to choose between the blackened halibut and the seared salmon. I opted for the king crab cakes and the blackened halibut special with broccolini & a bacon jelly....all absolutely mouth -wateringly delicious. The halibut was obviously very fresh, as it was flaky & tender, the outside charred & blackened. The homemade blueberry sorbet with fresh lavender was the perfect ending to a great meal.
Can't wait to return.

Our visit to the Kincaide Grill was a real pleasure. This white tablecloth venue with a comfortable dining room, tucked away in a strip mall (what isn't in a strip mall in Anchorage?) is an excellent choice for nice dining experience. The menu is interesting, solid choices if not particularly adventurous, and the wine list covers all the bases. The service was friendly and competent. The food was nicely seasoned and the preparation was well executed and presented on nicely warmed plates, which is just an example of the attention to detail that was paid by the kitchen.
Quibbles: I'm not a big fan of the current style of piling everything into the center of the plate; the sweet potato puree upon the sauteed kale, and the duck on top of it all. Makes for a messy meal and muddles all the flavors of the side dishes.
Surprises; a menu of different coffee varietals prepared as individual cafe presse. A good meal followed by a really good cup of coffee. Only tried one dessert, but if it is any indication, they have a real talent as pastry chef.
You can't go wrong eating here. Be prepared to spend some money, but know that it is well worth the experience. The Kincaid Grill will be on out list of places worth visiting when we return to Anchorage.
