My stepson manages a fine dining establishment in St. Pete, FL. This restaurant came highly recommended to my wife and I from him. It was even better than he said. Atmosphere, service, delicious food, wine and drinks...was all well above our expectations. We celebrated our wedding anniversary there and are extremely glad and fortunate that we did. A very memorable and extremely pleasant experience. From the tagliatelle and Meatballs Goat Cheese Stuffed Ribeye Meatballs to my trigger fish catch of the day and wife's unique pork schnitzel, all was perfectly prepared. Presentation was fantastic as well. Our server was top notch! Knowledgeable, personable and very attentive. All in all, this was a wonderful dining experience. We are lucky to have Iron in downtown Pensacola. In case it did not come through...very highly recommended!

We were in town for the wedding of our grandson. My wife and were recommended to IRON from Aragon Wine Market. We had an exellent evening. Our service was great and our waiter had a complete understanding of the menu and wine list.
A must for anyone looking for a unique twist on southern cooking.

Our first visit to Iron did not disappoint. My main dish, lamb shank, was mouth watering, moist, and delicious. My husband had duck and also enjoyed it. In terms of price, out of 5 $ signs, it is a $$$$. However, I believe the food to be unique enough and portions sufficient to warrant the price.

Our best meal yet at Iron. Amber, our server was outstanding. Made my 70 th birthday celebration special. The fried oysters were delicious with a spicy remoulade dipping sauce. Unique Chilton county apple and arugula salad with lemon dressing. Wife always favors their Salmon. I chose the Trigger fish served over Macque Choux. Killer dessert pro bono for birthday boy. Top shelf dining.

My daughter was visiting from NY. My sister had been to Iron and told me about it. I also had a coupon. Our visit was fantastic. Excellent service, food, presentation. Our waitress, Amber, gave us suggestions and knew the menu. She was the best. The only thing I would change would be the music. It was Jazz. Need a more mellow atmosphere. Other than that I will definitely be back.

This was our first time at IRON. I was saving the dining experience for a special occasion so we decided to go for our First Wedding Anniversary! I mentioned that in my comments when reserving are table on OpenTable and IRON printed special menus just for us that said "Happy Anniversary, [our names]!!!" It made the entire evening extremely special and set the mood immediately. Nick, our server, was very attentive and polite. I was afraid that IRON would be too upscale/stuffy for us but it wasn't at all and I felt very comfortable. I really liked the design and decor of the restaurant; I am an architect so I can be critical. I was worried that it would be difficult to hear in the narrow restaurant because it was pretty busy for a Sunday evening but it was the perfect level for conversation. The menu is well rounded with exotic and "comfort" type food but it is a little pricey for an every-day outing. With that said, the food was amazing and the service was spot on, which is sometimes difficult to find. I'd definitely recommend IRON to everyone. Also, I'm looking forward to checking out their LATE NIGHT menu.

We always get one of the best meals ever when we visit Iron. Moving from a large metropolitan city, we are amazed and blown away with the food, dining experience we receive at Iron. Our favorite place in Pensacola!

Food was exceptional. I am not much for European seating where tables for two are lined up next to each other but that is suppose to be the way it is now days. Really enjoyed my trigger fish in a corn and tomato sauce. Service was very good. They give you a personalized menu on a special occasion so that adds a nice touch. We will definitely return.

A few dishes were in the 4 category, but most were a 3. I would say the restaurant is a little over priced for what you get. The service, personable and professional, was the best part of the restaurant. A few appetizers are excellent, but most are very small. Overall, considering food tastiness, portions and price, I would rate the restaurant a 3 1/2.

This is my favorite restaurant. The food is amazing and the service superb. Matt, our waiter ensured we had a fabulous time and was very knowledgeable about the menu. This is our special occasion place because it's a bit pricey but also our go-to place to take company when we want to impress them. We love Iron!!

My wife and I had a great time at Iron. We received the recommendation from a friend so decided to give Iron a visit. At no point were we disappointed. Our waiter, Matt, made it seem as if we were his only concern. His knowledge and descriptions of the items on the menu literally made our mouth salivate. Some may look at the price and think that its a little too pricey. We beg the differ. You're not just paying for delicious food that you can see prepared feets away, you are paying for extraordinary service in what I consider to be the most modern restaurant in Pensacola. My wife and I have our favorite places to celebrate our special occasions and Restaurant Iron just moved to NUMERO UNO. I strongly recommend that people give it a try. And if Matt is your server, you'll be begging for every dish on the menu.

My wife and I celebrated our 15th Anniversary at Iron. The staff was very polite, personable yet professional. The food was absolutely amazing. Our waiter, Matt, was on top of his game. Quick, friendly service, he knew the menu inside and out and his recommendations were on point. The food portions are moderate but we didn't leave hungry. We were very satisfied with our dining experience and will recommend Iron to all of our friends.

Always a great experience. We have been blessed to get the same waitress, Laura, each time we have gone. The duck was amazing and the dessert (bread pudding) was just as good. Laura even gave us a little candle to celebrate the birthday! :)

Restaurant Iron has become one of the crown jewels of Pensacola dining. The menu is constantly changing with new additions and many of the old favorites as well. They are now open 7 days a week which gives Pensacola a great option instead of a chain restaurant. I had the Wagayu burger and my wife had the chicken and dumplins. Both wonderful dishes with perfect seasoning, and a great blend of sides. We have had most of the dishes that Chef Alex has created and have never had a bad meal. The bar is well stocked and the bartenders are creative and serve excellent drinks. The portions are plentiful. We have dined with other local chefs and they have rave reviews for the food here.

My first visit to Iron! I had heard rave reviews so my expectations were high. They did not disappoint. Classy, top notch, amazing wine and the Salmon was delicious! Great date spot! And surprisingly affordable! Matt, our server, gave beautiful descriptions of the featured dishes for the evening. And was quietly solicitous and a wonderful server. I highly recommend going to Iron!

Service was very poor. Waited 15 min for a server to come to the table just to even take a drink order. No one came so we departed. They were not busy and some servers were seen just talking to people and not working

After sitting for 15 minutes I had to get up and ask if we were going to have a server. Once we got one, he did a fine job until the restaurant got busy then he kind of went slack on us, as happens in a lot of restaurants. The bar was really busy so I asked about happy hour - our waiter had to go ask someone.... not a great sign either. The food was good but a little pricey. The local cheeses on the cheese plate were really good but extremely small portions and the schnitzel was delicious.

I read reviews about Iron and overheard a conversation about it earlier in the week. The food was good although a little pricey for my taste. Every item is made in house, so it was disappointing not to have real ketchup. The amuse bouche was a great addition to my dining experience- unexpected and fun. My meal was good, but not the best place I've eaten at in Pensacola. I will say that my cocktails were unique and tasty - the bartenders were attentive and I felt feeling my business was valued.

We really enjoy Iron but our experience on Saturday night was not good. There were four of us eating, and two of us were served our main meal, but the waitress told us someone else had picked up the other two and they would have to wait. So two of us sat there for 10 minutes with our dinner, letting it get cold, waiting. We found the food a bit salty and they were out of two dishes we ordered. Must have just been an off night as usually it is top shelf!

The food was prepared perfectly and displayed beautifully. Our server was unobtrusively attentive throughout the evening. The music was in the background and conversation at the table was easy to hear. Crisp modern feel in an historic setting.

I brought my girlfriend here for her birthday. Our server was very well informed about the menu and made great suggestions. She had the salmon and I had the steak. Portion size was great and both dishes were cooked to our preference. Love that they put a candle on her dessert (Nutella cake w/ pretzel crust - so delicious!) so she could make a wish. Very positive experience!

Wonderful all around dining experience.
The waitress explanation of each entree was perfect. She was pleasant, just the right amount of tentativeness and presented well.
The food presentation added to it's appeal and the quality was extraordinary. Restaurant IRON is a quality dining experience.

We went for our 26th wedding anniversary. My wife went here for the first time with her sister back in May 2016. They both enjoyed their meal and service so much that we went back again. Finding a restaurant in this town that offers exceptional food is extremely difficult. The service is high class, the food is gourmet, the overall experience was phenomenal . If you're wanting a dining experience that meets all your expectations this is the place to go. .

We have been to Iron numerous times and each time, they deliver the goods. The ambience, food and service are first class. Make sure you try the ceasar salad. All of the entrees are fabulous but personal favorite is the Duck. Can't go wrong with a dinner at Iron.

Restaurant Iron delivers once again. We made our reservation through OpenTable and the hostess had everything ready when we arrived. Our server was very knowledgeable about how each dish is prepared and gave us great recommendations. Although the restaurant always seems full, the whole operation is very efficient and courses come out at just the right time. We will be back!

Love to dine in Pensacola, Iron was recommended by a friend. From the time we walked in the door to the time we left the service was outstanding. The menu was unique and exciting. My gumbo was as good as any I've eaten in New Orleans. Iron is a must try if you are in town!

The selection of whiskies--High West's Silver, for example--is great. The servers are attentive and very know their food and drink. The Tuesday 1/2 off wines was a great value with fine wines. Foods are interesting and run from very good to great.
