Il Naso Ristorante Italiano Ratings and Reviews
Buccatini so good we gave up a chance to try another place and went here twice. Spaghettini also good, as is one of the most creative salmon presentations (atop a sweet potato pancake); ditto on the bread pudding (more cake-like). Bread could be better. Casual atmosphere, with an interesting middle room, nice staff.
Not true Italian food. Elk and potatoes had good flavor but was served cold. Upon leaving the restaurant 6 of the kitchen staff were out back laughing and smoking which clearly indicated why the attention to detail was lacking. The service was sub par which took away from the atmosphere. Bread served with the dip was over salted and overpowered the vinegar and oil. Table was too small. The noise level was too high for a special occasion. Calamari was rubbery and chewy.
I've been coming to Il Naso for years but this was by far the worst experience I've had. I brought close friends to your restaurant hoping they would enjoy it as much as I have but the service was horrendous! We had to take our check to the hostess taking coats to pay our bill as we only saw our server twice in over an hour!
Great atmosphere, very welcoming much like a nice fireplace on a cold night. Service was very attentive and helpful especially since we were dining with a person with a lot of restrictions. The food was creative and extremely well executed. I will definitely go back.
The food was absolutely fabulous with a wonderful menu and extensive wine list The restaurant had a lovely ambience and was quite inviting Our waiter was very nice but not all that attentive. He never came back to ask how everything was and forgot to bring one of the side dishes. The place was pretty busy so maybe he just add too many tables that night.
So disappointing. We have eaten at Il Nash many times over the years and every time has been special. Not so Monday night. The kitchen was VERY slow, VERY. The poor waiter was embarrassed. Then the food was good, but not great. For example, one person in our party ordered the lasagne and the portion was teeny, tiny---so small it appeared to be a child's portion. No exaggeration. The four of us actually laughed, which made our waiter uncomfortable. But at that point we had waited so terribly long for our entrees we we not going to send it back! We usually order after dinner drinks or dessert but with the slowness of the kitchen we just left. Such a disappointment!
Enotecca never disappoints!
We always enjoy this restaurant whenever we remember that we have to make a reservation ! Very rarely can one just slip on and get a table. On occasion you can sit at the bar and this is fine too. The food is amazing. Small plates to share, great appetizers, wood oven pizzas, salads and excellent entrees!
We had burrata, Cesar salad, lamb pizza, chicken and duck confit every dish wonderful!
I'll Naso is an attractive restaurant with good service. However, we were disappointed in the quality of our entrees. The meatballs were tough. The veal piccata was over cooked at best. Frankly, it didn't even taste like veal. Our Caesar salad was good and the chocolate sorbet was excellent.
My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner last weekend at Il Naso. My wife enjoyed some delicious lamb chops, seasoned and cooked to perfection. I enjoyed the ravioli of the day. We had a beautiful cabernet to accompany our meal and were entertained by quiet live music. Nice date for us.
We have gone to il Naso before and always had a great meal and experience. Not this time. We ordered 2 salads, Lasagna and Truffle Pasta and a glass of wine. The salads came on time however we sat for 1 1/2 hours waiting for 2 very simple dishes. The waiter kept telling us the food was on the way but he appeared to be confused and out of it.. Finally when we said we were going to leave the meals appeared. The lasagna was fine however my pasta was luke warm and had no taste. I have ordered the truffle pasta before and loved it. We were told the kitchen was backed up however the restaurant was not at all busy and 2 tables got food before us. They had a better waiter I guess. They took our salads off the bill however no manager or owner came by our table either to explain the issue which I thought was odd. Too bad we used to love this place we will not be back...
This is one of our very favorite restaurants in the Sun Valley area. The food is consistently fabulous and the owner, Sam Turner, is without a doubt the nicest man ever !!! He personally greets everyone and adds such a personal touch. The staff are excellent and the ambiance is superb. This is the best restaurant...cannot recommend it highly enough.
I am sad to say that the food was a huge disappointment. The evening started out really well at the wine bar in the entrance. The server offered us some tastings as we waited for friends and tried to decide on which wine to order. We were seated at a very nice table in the corner. The ambience is nice and very relaxing. The food was a terrible. My friend ordered the Beet Salad and it was fine. My other friend order the Filet and it was about the size of a half dollar. We actually joked that they put the other half in the doggie bag for us. The dollop of butter on top was as big as the Filet. My lamb chops were half the size they should have been (very thin) and not very good. My husbands stew came cold and they had to re heat it. The flavor was good but the stew was cold. Our gelato was the high light. It was really sad to have such a bad dining experience.
We have eaten at this restaurant many times over the past six years. It is consistent for its great, professional service; wonderful, authentic menu; excellent food quality and fresh ingredients. The atmosphere is lovely. It feels - simultaneously - like a great place to run into friends AND enjoy a private, romantic evening.
