Gaylord Texan Resort’s 39,000-square-foot live music venue, Glass Cactus, is impressive inside with two levels of entertainment space including a grand performance stage, dance floor, and four signature bars. It was recently named one of the “Top 25 Hottest Nightclubs” in the country by Billboard Magazine. However, its hidden gem lies just beyond the back doors where guests discover a 13,000-square-foot multi-tiered outdoor deck sitting directly over the shores of Lake Grapevine. Arrive early evening to relax and enjoy mouthwatering happy hour selections and gorgeous sunset views before the late night crowd arrives. The upscale menu offers much more than your typical club cuisine. Tempt your taste buds with favorites such as Panko Breaded Onion Ring Tower, Fish Tacos, and Miniature Black Angus Burgers.

We had a 8:45 reservation, we got there and were told that tables were all gone and that many people pay up too $200 for a table with a view of the stage. I totally understand but that should have been told to us upfront.

Good night spot for the 35 and over crowd. (we didn't see too many people younger than this) Average bar food and drinks. Emerald City was playing the night we went, and they are a very good band. The outside patio and view of the lake is great.

It was ok. Problem was that we arrived 25 minutes late due to our dinner going late. They would not honor our reservation, and the gentleman was quite rude about the situation. And the funny thing was, is that the reserved area was almost empty!!! And , it was at least a 8-10 minute wait to get drink... unless you were a man waiving cash. A bit disappointing considering it was a birthday celebration for me.
