It used to be awesome and you got plenty of food. This time I felt like they really didn't give us much in the way of sides. I felt left wanting for more brussel sprouts. I think in total there were only six sprouts on my plate. So horribly disappointing. For how much the menu costs, I do not feel like people should leave feeling this way. This has never happened before, I really felt let down on this visit.

We had a reservation but were 20 mins late getting seated. The staff was friendly enough, but we wouldn't have been seated when we were if we had not pointed out we were still waiting. I think they forgot about us.

When reservations were made I requested by the fireplace and when seated we were the farthest from the fireplace. My wife ordered steak and shrimp med well and it was rare, sent it back and by the time it came back she had finished her meal so she had to eat steak by itself with no apology. It was our daughter's birthday. We won't dine here any time soon.

Worth the extra money. You really have to spend an extra $15 - $20 to get a decent meal in Anchorage, especially if you are here without a car. Since I didn't want to go into the $40 - $60 range for an entree, this was an ideal compromise. Lovely moist salmon and a fine selection of craft brews. Suitable for a single female traveler.

We were visiting Anchorage for one night and reserved on-line after searching the web. Gret dining and outstanding atmosphere. Staff were pleasant and more than helpful. Great all round experience. Would recommend to anyone as a great dinner location. Best to book ahead as it is extremely popular.

Nice Brewhouse - Good atmosphere. We had mixed feelings on the food. The calamari was excellent, the cod great, the chowder - didn't eat it. Very strange texture. Nice wait staff and fast service. Moderate pricing. Very crowded.

Glacier Brewhouse came recommended by several people, so we tried it on our last night in Alaska. Overall, the food was hit or miss, the environment lively but loud, and the beer fantastic. Like most restaurants in Alasaka, The Brewhouse is pricey, and not quite worth it. Food: We started with the Caesar salad - it was wilted and browned, but the dressing was good. I'm not sure what serving we got, as most of the salads looked huge, our's were measly. The bread was nothing to write home about, good but dried out and missing a proper crust. Our entrees were so-so. My husband had the seafood fettuccine. It came out piping hot, and cooked well. Flavors were ok, but the seafood was a let down. After 10 days of fresh seafood, the shrimp and salmon definitely tasted of a lesser (frozen) quality. I had the house grilled salmon. My entree came out cold, the salmon very greasy and under seasoned, the "crab" (a miserably small clump) overtly salty, and the arugala side salad over dressed. The roasted potatoes, upon which the salmon was served, were the star of the dish! Perfectly seasoned, browned - delish. Beer: We ordered two flights of beer - every option was fantastic. The Imperial Blonde was phenomenal, and strong (beware!). We each had a pint of Blonde as well - smooth, sweet and not too heavy. Service: There is a ton of staff! Our waitress, while not very knowledgable, was very nice. From what we experienced in Anchorage, Glacier Brewhouse is good compared to the rest of the city's offerings. Just don't come with too high of expectations. **Defintely make a reservation! Our's was perfectly honored, but the wait is long and deep without one.

We had reservations and were seated on time. Our waiter was attentive. A steak ordered medium rare arrived rare, but they quickly took it back to the kitchen and made it medium rare. I enjoyed my meal that night and then enjoyed my leftovers as another meal. Even though I thought I was full, I shared a few bites of creme brûlée, which did not disappoint.

The steak and beer are great here! The creme brûlée is to die for, and so are the brussel sprouts (which is weird for me to say!). Apparently you have to ask for butter with the bread (I was told most people just use olive oil, which also wasn't brought, but I didn't care for feeling like an inconvenience for something that's kind of a given). Otherwise, my husband always has to eat here when we come to town because he loves the beer and the ribeye. It's not my #1 choice, but they have some great food!

This is a must dining experience in Anchorage. Calamari to die for. Exquisite salmon and halibut. The ahi tuna is highly recommended. Reservations a must whether in visitor season or not. Even then expect to wait because this place is always packed. But the food makes up for it. No tourist trap here. This is where Alaskans and frequent business visitors dine.

I come to The Glacier BrewHouse every time I am in Anchorage. The seafood chowder is fabulous and the buttermilk battered calamari with jalapeno-lime aioli is the best I have ever had. It melts in your mouth. The atmosphere is lively and fun. The lemonades are pretty good too!

My husband's steak wasn't done the way he asked and all they did was put it back on the grill. We weren't even comped for this mistake in any way.Any other restaurant I have been to would have offered new steak and not charged for their error.Normally the food is delicious here but I would have to say that was average this visit.
