If you are visiting or live in Miami, it's worth going at least once. The overview of the pool is simply amazing. The food was good, nothing spectacular. The cocktails in the other hand were superior. Wouldn't go back unless it's a very special occasion or if I'm with someone that's dying to go.

Other reviews which we read prior to going were remarkably accurate.... The first wine we requested was no longer available. They came back with a suggestion (much pricier) which we agreed to. They came back in a few minutes to apologize that they were out of that wine as well (even though they recommended it) and suggested another wine that was still more expensive! Quite annoying. They forgot to set the table properly (I had no knife or fork) and had to ask after they had brought the food. The staff are very pleasant and nice but just seem poorly trained. The ambience is stunning, however, and makes up for the food (good but not outstanding by any means). You're definitely paying for the hype and location, not the chef!

I wanted to see the mansion without spending $1100 a night on a room. The food and service far surpassed my expectations. The location is stunning. As beautiful as you would imagine it to be. The food was surprisingly delicious and the service was on point an un pretentious.
The menu is not large, but between a cocktail, an appetizer and two mains everything was beautifully plated and a stand out on taste. It's not cheap, but did anyone expect it to be?
The above plus two mid range glasses of wine cost a bit more than $200. 20% gratuity is include on the bill.

Beautiful surroundings sat with an amazing view of Versace's gold lined pool. Lovely ambience. Food was incredible. Slightly snooty staff who tried to be professional but failed to be genuine or sincere with their service. Great setting, lovely meal and beautiful and historic setting but staff need to be better.

The food was excellent, the view on the terrace of the villa even better, and the staff was amazing!! While this is definitely more of a special occasion restaurant, my husband and I plan on going back next time we are in Miami. If you have the chance, make reservations and go!

On arrival the hostess points out the restrooms and invites you to explore the ground floor after dinner. In the beautiful courtyard, by the pool where we had dinner there is a sign saying respect your fellow diners and don't take photographs but as long as you are not intruding on someone else's meal there didn't seem to be a problem with photos by the pool. The gazebo has a framed mosaic, there's a pool and on the level where we came in there's a fountain, ornate doors and beautiful frescoes. The courtyard where we ate is open to the elements and sky and would be magical for a romantic meal as the tables are only lit by small candles. The upper floors are for guests only. There are dishes for every budget. There was complimentary bread with olive oil and balsamic reduction. I asked the waitress what starters were small so that I could fit in a dessert. I had the scallops, three large perfectly seasoned scallops set on a plate with frisee lettuce, they were delicious and there was plenty of eating in them but not too much. OH had the crab salad, he said it was delicious but he really struggled when it came to mains. For mains we both opted for the wagyu filet mignon, 8oz, online it shows a 5oz but there wasn't one on the menu. It came with truffled mash, asparagus and topped with cooked foie gras. The steak was so tender that the knife just cut through it like melted butter, delicious. No extra vegetables were needed although there were quite a few to choose from. For dessert we both chose the three chocolate mousse which came as a sort of cake - there was a cake base - and was covered in what I think was a strawberry glaze. The plate was decorated with splashes of different flavours, mango etc. It was really delicious but was so filling we had to give up before the last bite. We accompanied the meal with sparkling water and a glass of champagne. The wait staff were all lovely and nothing about this experience was intimidating.

Fine dining in the beautiful and utterly romantic Gianni Versace's exquisite home and mansion on Ocean Drive, South Beach, Miami. The starters and entrées did not dissapoint. Healthy portions, lamb chops cooked perfectly, crab salad plentiful, Mediterranean Dorade fish was light and tasty and French chicken melts in your mouth. Classic mojito lived up to its competitors on the strip...super yummy. Expectedly pricey for its one-of-a-kind location and romantic atmosphere. Although we heard a bit of car noise and music from the strip it was not surprising considering its location. Overall it was worth every penny and glad we chose it to celebrate our wedding anniversary. A must visit for couples seeking a unique and romantic dinner. Sit outside you will love it. The pool, balconies, old world architecture, art, iron works, and tiles are simply amazing. Only critique is the staff should provide their guests some history of the house, it's owners and current status while walking to your table. Our waiter easily accommodated us when asked and we were thankful for his insight.

The experience was overall very nice. The place is beautiful. The server was friendly, although not very helpful with the wine (tended to push US$180 bottles). Food was very good. However, the door person and the other staff member were incredibly rude when we asked for an umbrella for my 80-year old mother. And when I asked for the manager, they said there was none. Quite unfortunate, particular in a restaurant this level. So, i recommend the place, with reservations. I hope they talk to their staff.

The food was simply amazing. Definitely more costly than your average restaurant, we were seated outside with an amazing view of the outdoor water feature. We were also allowed to walk around and take photographs, only the upper floors were restricted to guests only. Overall an amazing experience.

Food was great, and venue probably one of the most beautiful and romantic venue I've ever seen.
However, quite overpriced as we paid $250 for two people, without taking a bottle of wine. 20% gratuity is included in you check.

At Gianni's you won't be disappointed! We had the best lamb chops & risotto in the world! The service & ambiance were superb. Dont short change yourself with other "high end" Miami restaurants, this one's definitely worth every dollar! How about opening a Toronto location?

I had one of the best dinners I've ever had in my life here. This was my second time here, brought my sister for her bachelorette dinner and some friends, they were in complete shock and enthusiastic about the place. We started our dinner with a bottle of the Italian Prosecco and continued with a few appetizers to share followed by pasta dishes. The food was really good. Best Italian cuisine in Miami so far. The service was exceptional, our waitress was so nice and very attentive she did a beautiful job. It's also thanks to her that our dinner became even more special.

It was an amazing experiance dining at the Versace mansion. He is gone but his spirit lives on in every nuke and cranny of that house. You can almost feel his presence!!! It was an honor to be there!!! A big thank you to the versace family for opening their doors to the public!!!

We went for my husband's birthday. The restaurant is beautiful. The bathroom was adorable. The service was great and food was delicious! My only complaint is that there was a cat that kept going from table to table, not sure if he's the house pet or what but I am allegic to cats and it kept rubbing on my legs, also found it a bit annoying while trying to have a romantic birthday dinner, and was slso concerned my food would have cat hair somehow. Get rid of the cat and it was great!

When my wife and I arrived she wanted a picture in front. A security guard told her "no pictures". She said we had reservations and asked him to take a pic of us and he said "he just got off duty" then walked away. Rude start. The house was nice with a nice ambiance but felt from the start that they were doing us a favor for being there. Our martinis were not the vodka that we ordered. I know vodka very well and feel very confident that it was a bottom shelf vodka in a top shelf bottle. I then ordered a different drink and was fooled again. You cannot serve bad vodka to an experienced drinker. Where is the value in that? Overall I will not return. I do not recommend this restaurant. I don't like to speak poorly but it is deserved in this case. Many more better choices in South Beach.

Visiting from Vancouver, BC, I had quite high hopes for Gianni's. The lovely receptionist called me a day before to confirm my reservation. I arrived and was sat upstairs, which was a bummer because I had requested to be sat by the fountain when I made the reservation 3 weeks ago. It was not very busy inside either as we dined around 7pm, (it seems like people in Miami dine a little bit later, around the 8:30pm mark) It is quite humid this time of year, and there is no AC inside the restaurant. Our server was well mannered, and the ambiance of the restaurant was great - quiet with beautiful dim lights. We were allowed to take photos from a certain spot of the fountain downstairs, but when you got too close, one of the hosts would yell at you. I highly suggest to go during the day time; I went at night time and the photos were quite dark - could not capture the true beauty of the fountain. The food was actually quite delicious. I was not expecting much from the food, but it really exceeded my expectations. I had the Burrata Millefoglie, wagyu filet steak, and Risotto Alla Milanese - all were cooked perfect and delicious. Wine selection is also great. The bill came to around $400ish USD for 2 people (1 appy, 2 entrees, 1 dessert, 1 bottle of wine).

A great venue with a fantastic menu. They claim to be an Italian restaurant and indeed they are. Original but with open eyes to tradition. Of course, the main attraction would be the place itself, a piece of the Italian American History! I already made another reservation for next week.
