Great option for Sunday brunch, we had a table overlooking the beach which was beautiful. Nice variety of options for brunch meals as well as cocktails. Walked down to the beach directly afterwards without having to park the car again, which was very convenient.

Stunning atmosphere matched by decadent food, from appetizer to dessert. The wine list is matched by a manager who knows his stuff and shares his knowledge. Only bummer was that we made a reservation for 8, but weren't seated until 8:30. They were apologetic, but it seemed like we were forgotten, as plenty of others were seated as soon as they arrived. Still, our table was amazing and, even in the dark, the view was stunning.

I have been dining here for over 25 years, ever since the "crows nest" sat atop the hill adjacent to the restaurant.( we sat up there many times) I made the reservation quite a while ago indicating that it was a special birthday and we would like to be seated on the patio ON the railing. We were not seated where we asked even though two tables came up shortly after we arrived. We sucked it up and didn't complain and even asked if we could move after lunch to enjoy coffee and dessert at one of those tables but were informed by our server that those were being held for other people. Sufficed to say, I was not happy. The whole experience of this restaurant is sitting outside with a great view of the water and this table did not cut it!

Ordered the paella, it was mostly rice with only one shrimp and very small muscles in the dish. The service was ok but not what you would expect from an expensive restaurant. Not sure whats going on with restaurant but the food and service usedto be great.

with a restaurant with this caliber one expects to not have to ask multiple waiters for a simple refill on my water.
specifically, told the waiter what my date cannot eat and he would recommend dishes either those exact ingredients.
told the waiter we werent drinking but got asked multiple time and even outside the bathroom if I was sure.

The food and ambiance is pretty good! I ordered the Sea Scallop with risotto and foie gras, and it's amazing. Since I made reservation almost a week before I went, I was able to reserve the table next to the ocean view. The reservation was 1pm, and I called them around 12pm and told them that I had to move my reservation to 1:45pm due to traffic. The girl did tell me that they were having an event and everyone would have to be out by 3pm, and I said ok. Around 1:20pm, another man from the restaurant called me and said that I was supposed to be there at 1pm but I didn't show up. I told him that I already postponed my reservation time with someone else, and he told me that I had to finish in an hour if I arrived at 1:45. When we arrived and checked in with the girl receptionist, the man (called John, I think?), who talked to me on the phone, asked the girl what time it was. He took a look at the time and shook his head. I know that we changed our reservation and they had an event later, (Plus I agreed that we would finish in an hour) but it should NOT be the reason that he gave us attitude. Besides that, our server was not so friendly either and didn't remember our requests. At the end, we asked to check out and it took them more than 15 min to give us back our credit card. While we were waiting, they already started packing up and taking the chairs back for their event. Anyway, all I try to say is that we are customers and we're not begging him for the food or table.

Restaurant was out of lobster, which was a big disappointment, particularly for a well-revered upscale restaurant on the ocean in Malibu. Additionally, despite having made reservations well ahead of time and calling to ask if we can get a table outside, we were seated at a booth inside, furthest from the view. We have been to Geoffrey's many times before and hope to come again, but this particular trip was disappointing.

Met girlfriend's for Sunday brunch. It was a perfect day and the ocean view was spectacular. All of us ordered the handcrafted cocktails which were delicious. We all had the corn chowder and quiche (lobster or Loraine). Both were super tasty. Although they require the entire party to be present to be seated which is a pain they did hold the reservation for 25 mins because part of the party was running late, so none of that 15 minutes and you lose your table! That was much appreciated! I will definitely go back.

My husband and I went to have dinner on a Saturday evening. There was a line in the bathroom which also smell really bad like sewer. One of their toilets was out of service so that left one stall.
This restaurant was one of my favorites but after maybe 2 years not being there I am very disappointed.
The drinks were good, our waiter was very nice but the food was not to the standards we remember.
The restaurant smelled like old fish even though is out in the open. ( I guess because we were sat by the bar which is kinda enclosed).
I order the paella .... wasn't impress I can make it better at home.
My husband order the sea bass and it just smelled bad. It wasn't moist and flaky. Very disappointed...
I feel like they have let the restaurant go ....
It needs to be updated beginning with the bathrooms!
And a new chef!!
Hope they get it together because the spot is so cute with twinkle lights all over. And the views during the day are awesome!

Ambience couldn't be nicer. Beautiful ocean view, lovely unique tables and luckily Malibu perfect weather. Prices reflect location, but certainly not quality of the food. My friend and I both ordered salads, Scrimp and Ahi Tuna. Both unimaginative. Coffee was also of fast food quality. I guess it is location, location, location!

If it is after sunset, don't bother dining here. Brunch on a sunny afternoon might be fun, but dinner at 8 is a very expensive disappointment.
The food was merely okay, the menu sadly uninspired. The view is reduced to ugly rooftops. The wait staff, so eager to leave, rushed us through the entire meal. Even the valet disappeared, leaving our vehicle unlocked and abandoned, keys on the seat.

Beautiful restaurant on the water. Our waiter was great and so was the bus boy. They really worked hard to make service something special. We had the mussels and fried oysters for an appetizer---wonderful. Our main dishes were also well prepared and served in a timely manner. I have already recommended the restaurant to friends and will return when visiting the area. This was our last day in the area and so glad we chose this restaurant for out last evening meal in the area.

We had a fantastic experience celebrating our anniversary. The service and staff was excellent and attentive to us. The view of the sunset was amazing and the food was delicious. We had a very memorable evening that we will cherish.

Went for dinner to celebrate a birthday. Outstanding service -- they remembered to bring my wife a little sweet with a candle one it. Food is good; not outstanding but good. It is a bit pricey but the ambiance is lovely. Surprising that the bar was unable to mix blended drinks. On the warm, balmy evening that we were there the outdoor seating was really nice, although it is so dark that the server had to provide us with a flashlight. If I go there again I'd try to be there when its light enough to see the beautiful ocean view. By the time we got there it was dark and the view from the patio was a black abyss.

My wife requested that we return to Geoffrey's to celebrate our 50th Anniversary. We both love their ocean view, and hoped my request for a table with an ocean view would be honored. When I checked in at the restaurant for our 7:00 reservation, I was told that it would be a 20 to 30 minute wait for our special table. We waited for 30 minutes, and then again for another 10 minutes, before the receptionist told us our table was ready -- no view -- high traffic area. I complained, and was told that it would be another 30 minutes before a view table would be available. We decided not to wait. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. The food was good but pricey. And upon departure, the parking lot was an absolute cluster f__k. Not exactly the "evening to remember" we had hoped for.

I can't say enough about Geoffrey's. It is one of the "must do" things if you live in this area, or if you have out-of-town guests. Great food, great service, great view - maybe the best view in all of California. And a close friend and I went - I ordered the Scallops, which were perfect, over a foie gras, and my friend ordered the Sea Bass. Everything from the appetizer (Seared Ahi, perfect) to the drinks to the main dish to the dessert was first rate. And our server, Hannah, made the entire evening special. She's the best, a really first rate server, a consummate pro, knew just what to recommend and very personable. If you are deciding between Geoffrey's and another place, let me make this easy for you: choose Geoffrey's.
