Service and food are always awesome!
The food was good but not much for the price. I paid $21 for steak fajitas and had maybe 6oz of steak. The margaritas were pricey at $9-$12 for a relativly small amount and clearly made with a mix you can buy at a local supermarket. Moreover, I had 3 and felt nothing. Great service and nice atmosphere though.
We were 4: parents & out o town son & husand Gabriel’s food is Authentic New Mexican - green Chile is just right & abundant. Service was excellent. Margueritas were judged “watery” by the younger members of the party - so much so that they came home and mixed their own.
Great atmosphere and menu options...love the amount of gluten-free and vegan/vegetarian options!
Fajitas were delicious, service was medium.
what a great meal and fantastic service. the food was very tasty.
One of our favorite places
Table side guacamole says it all...............................................................................
Visiting from upstate New York and desiring true New Mexico cuisine; on the recommendation of many of my husband‘s coworkers, we tried Gabriel‘s. The reviews were all over the place, but we had zero complaints. A picture of silver margaritas for $45 provided us with ample cocktails for the duration of our meal and were delicious and not “weak”. The tableside guacamole was the best I’ve ever had and I do try it everywhere we go. Perfect texture, spice, quantity for two, and a cooling accompaniment to the chips and spicy salsa! My husband had the chicken chili relleno and I had the seafood fajitas. There was a very large fillet of red snapper, three big scallops, and three shrimp, ample onions, peppers, pico de Gallo, additional guacamole, and pinto beans on the side and for soft tender 4 corn tortillas (they allow a choice of corn or flour). My husband had never tried a relleno before and he loved it and I will tell you this was the most generous and delicious sizzling platter of fajitas I have ever enjoyed. We were full but had to try dessert. I can’t say no to homemade churros anywhere and the dolce de leche dipping sauce was decadent. My husband had the tres leche cake and of course it was moist, delicious and served with a little bit of chocolate sauce. The service was perfectly timed, attentive, and the restaurant couldn’t have been more professional! This is not fast food south western food; this is the real deal!
The waiter was all business. Not in the least bit interested or friendly.
Food was mediocre and service was inattentive. Experience certainly didn’t reflect the good reviews on Yelp and elsewhere
The food was excellent, but not exceptional for Santa Fe, where there are an abundance of excellent dining options. The restaurant itself is lovely, and the service very good. I suspect, in summer, outdoor dining is a big plus. I would certainly go again.
It was okay. I didn't particularly like my meal but my husband and son were happy with theirs.
Excellent New Mexican cuisine served among interesting art.
We were in Santa Fe for 5 days and ate at Gabriel’s twice....it was that good! Both visits were superb!
I asked for a quite table. We were seated near the noisy kitchen and the two of us were seated between two noisy tables of 8.
Took forever to get our check.
Beautiful place and good food but service is slow! Nevertheless, it’s a must any time I’m in Santa Fe.
Gabriel's is a local favorite. Consistantly delicious. Pleasant atmosphere no matter what season. Service is always very friendly. Best guacamole in Santa Fe!!!!
Fun and excellent food......guac at the table was excellent and the margaritas top shelf!
Really good service. Food good not great
Food was not as authentic and overpriced. Chili was not spicy. Only thing I looked forward to was the table side guacamole give that 🤚stars! Service was slow... make reservations thankfully we did, if not it would have been an hour wait 😐
Beef and Seafood fajitas were great. The desert menu is great, we had the churros chocolate which were simply delicious! Service is always very good at Gabriel's.
They were great until we waited 20+ min. for our check.
We went to Gabriel’s for a birthday celebration. It was a busy night, so the last-minute decision to make a reservation via Open Table was a good idea. Our food - crab enchiladas and a shrimp/scallop dish - was fantastic, as was the guacamole prepared table-side. The staff sang to the birthday celebrant & provided a complementary dessert. We’ll definitely come back again!
The food was ok, it's been awhile since we've eaten here. I'm disappointed that for large party that they wouldn't add an avocado or 2, rather then serve every table the 1 and 1/2.
Gabriel's is the best in Northern New Mexico for traditional Mexican food. The staff, food, and cleanliness of the restaurant are superb. The flavor, size of the serving, and the price of the food have always been consistently excellent.
My husband an I found this to be a very nice restaurant. The food was good, the staff was attentive and welcoming. We would definitely go back.
We were seated in a room off to the side that could easily seat 40 people. There was one other couple and they left. We waited for our server to ask for a different location, but finally had to find management to be relocated. My food was also just fair, my steak fajitas were chewy and the veggies we’re greasy.
Gabriel's is a favorite. The meal quality is high and consistent for 28 years! We live in Santa fe and it's a local's choice.
It was a busy evening the night before Thanksgiving. Have reservations !
Once seated, the ambiance is vibrant and lively. The Guacamole made at the table is always fun and tasty.
The fajitas, plato de carnitas, arroz con pollo and San Diego fish tacos were all good. Our group of four really enjoyed the dinner at Gabriels.
Best table-side guacamole!
We live in Texas and go to Santa Fe once or twice year. Gabriel's has always been at the top of our list. We were very disappointed the Thursday night we were there. The service was poor, we had to ask for waiter more than once. One member in the party was given a dinner she didn't order and we were through eating before they brought her dinner. We had to ask for the dinner. The table guacamole for 5 was more like enough for 3. Usually there is more guacamole than we can eat. Our tacos were soggy and only had meat in them. What happened to all of the extras? We order the normally excellent frozen margaritas and unanimously everyone said they were weak and had no taste. Sorry Gabriel's you are no longer our favorite.
Excellent menu choices. The table side guacamole was fabulous!
Always a treat to eat at Gabriels. Great food, great service. My favorite place to eat in Santa Fe
First visit with tasty food and good atmosphere. Will not return because of poor service.
Service and our Waiter receives 1 star-he didn't ask about our food after it was served. I asked another server for a beverage refill and to bring our food bill.
All would have been better if our server returned to the table after taking food order.
My server, Orlando, was great. He was attentive but unobtrusive. The food was excellent.
Nice piece of magic on a last night of a vacation together, ta RDG
Love this restaurant will continue to come back outstanding and I am gluten gree many many options
The best Tex-Mex restaurant but it is 10 miles outside Santa Fe, so very few know about it. The table side guacamole is it's signature appetizer, but this time we also ordered the queso. It came in a huge serving bowl and was even better than the guac! Great margaritas, too!
Gabriel's is known for its dependably good Northern New Mexico food and a great bar, a favorite of our out-of-town guests. All seven of us were served quickly and accurately, and with the proper amount of continuing attention. A fun occasion enjoyed by all!
