Absolutely phenomenal! Food was fabulous, terrific portions, and superb service!
It was too upscale for me. I thought the reservation I made was for the live music side of the house, but I was up stairs for the more classy side.
The Shrimp Thai Curry was out of this world and I enjoyed every bit of it!
We've not found the location of the house
Un bon souper entre amis ou entre amoureux avec du Blues live! super...
New menu and a new server. Both of which should have never been allowed to meet a customer. Service was completely amateur and totally incompetent.
We attended a comedy show in the Foundation Room. The space is absolutely stunning and the decor is amazing. I originally set a table reservation so that we could see the show. Upon confirming, I found that the reservation was for the dining room instead. The concierge was very accommodating to change the reservation to the Foundation Room. The food was pretty good as well. There were small plates versus full dinners but still pretty good. The servers were also very attentive. The music was also awesome!!! Overall we had a great time and I would definitely return soon and recommend it.
Service was impossibly slow. We had 6:00 reservations. Told the servers that we had tickets to the 7:30 show, but we missed at least 15 minutes of the show. They were so slow and disorganized.
I didn't eat there but went only to enjoy the music. Great settin, beat decor and the talent that booked was amazing. Great time!
Casual, flawless, perfect!
Love!! This is a hidden gem! Great drinks and vibes!
Amazing place for dinner, warming and cozy. Just perfection
The Foundation Room staff was superb. This is a rare decor where the food matches the setting. A very fun time.
We chose not to eat here. I made reservations as a part of the concert that we were going to see. I thought it was the restaurant at House of Blues. I felt like this might have been some sort of directed advertising gone wrong. We didn't realize there was another restaurant at the House of Blues. When we looked at the menu while ing the Foundation room, we were very disappointed. We are vegetarian. We asked the waitress and were told two choices we had available were $26 cauliflower dish or a side dish of macaroni and cheese. If a restaurant is trying to set it self apart, be worldly and cater to an elite crowd then consideration for a larger range of meal options would be my number one suggestion.
We thoroughly enjoyed the total dining experience. We made alterations to the menu item we ordered and were accommodated graciously. the ambience was awesome. the food was superb. the service was top-notch. A lovely experience. Can't wait to return to Chicago again and visit you all.
The restaurant was completely empty on a Saturday night and the bread was stale. The meals however, were incredibly delicious and well cooked, even though the portions were tiny and very expensive. The lounge upstairs was a lot more fun: more people, great show, amazing, unique ambience, reasonably priced drinks.
I took a special guest there for birthday based on a superb dinner experience I had there 10 years ago....nothing like it was. Food was mediocre. Service mediocre. Booth was dirty with lots of crumbs. Big disappointment.
Great, Samantha was our waitress and she was very attentive and sweet
The reservation was for 1/29 at 5:30. Got there they didn't open till 7 and were only serving free wings to parents of concert goers. Totally messed up reservation.
I came for a concert, the concert was amazing. There was a mixup with my meal/drink purchase. But once I brought it to management attention they were quick to accommodate and fix the problem. I would definitely go back. Though the foundation room is quite pricey and very beautiful, HOB does have a regular restaurant with more reasonable prices.
Our waitress, Niki was very good and extremely friendly. Nice quiet dining experience.
Very few items on menu, small servings waaay too overpriced!! Wanted to reserve a table in House of Blues and because of private event we were put in this nothing but the trap for fools... Avoid it!!
Loved it!!! Have to visit again...... staff was great, music, wow!!!!
Delicious food and outstanding consistent customer service.
It was my boyfriend's birthday and we were going to see a show that night as well. The staff succeeded in making us feel very welcome and special.
Had a wonderful dinner and drinks at the foundation room at the House of Blues. Great service and food, although my pork chop was a little over cooked. We were sat in a beautiful private room and dining table.
Great experience with tons of excellent food.
House of Blues was closed for a private event the evening of the reservation. There was no type of notice on the website and no one could be reached by phone. Guests did not find out until they arrived at the restaurant and were turned away. This is a problem that needs to be corrected so that it doesnt happen to other guests.
Classic experience when coming to Chicago. A "must"!
Had a great time
The Foundation Room is an underrated, lovely restaurant. From the moment you exit the elevator and are greeted by name by the hostess, to the attentive service, to the delicious food, it is consistently good.
Every time we eat in the Foundation Room we have a great meal and atmosphere.
Geri (waitress sp? ) was extremely pleasant and went out of her way to make our party comfortable and private. Venue was perfect for friends to catchup on old times. . Appetizers OK, entrees (pork chop, steaks) excellent! Creme Brule total disappointment... Stale like it was 3 days old. Wine list decent but pricey.
Very pleasant experience with the whole staff. The food was awesome and the flexibility on the menus was great
The Foundation Dining Room is definitely worth a repeat visit. The service, cocktails and food were good. Since I don't believe a major concert was going on during that time the dining room was sparse. If you have time after dinner the lounge may be an option to chill and have more cocktails
This is a great date place with Morrocan tented booths. The Bohemian tapestries on the wall, and the high ornate ceiling continues down stairs. The food is delicious but a bit pricey for what it is. My date had a very pricey bowl of curry, and my BBQ spare ribs were placed on a smear of potato. Appetizer, dinner & drinks will run about $75 per person not including tip. The bar and band afterward are great.
The tempura cauliflower was amazing. Also recommend the center cut filet. Delicious with incredibly attentive and kind staff. I would definitely go back
I really enjoyed the decorations and the staff was amazing. It was a little loud. I didn't start loud but half way through dinner the music turned up. That's okay though because the food was excellent.
Best dining experience I've had. Awesome wait staff, ambiance is unique and done right.
We have been to many steak houses in Chicago and the Foundation Room has had the BEST filet yet. The whole meal was fantastic along with the décor being very eclectic. The service from Sam was fabulous. We will be going back on our next visit to Chicago and so should you. Also, ask for a tour of the whole Foundation Room.....you will not be disappointed if they can work it in!!
We were surprised by the outlay and decor of the restaurant. The staff was pleasant and the drinks were very good. The food was not what we expected.
