Overall it was a fair to good experience....all of our meals had the breakfast potatoes except one and the potatoes were cold as was my entree. They were replaced but not in a timely fashion...the service was hit(friendly) and miss(timeliness). The place is clean and we were seated promptly. The main problem was that they were just to busy or understaffed. The food tasted good and the selection was good so it could have been better if everything had been on point. With all of the options in Chattanooga for dining I would not be quick to go back since we live 45 miles away.
Great time as usual - we'll be back - made reservations on line a we were seated immediately upon arrival - food was on time and very good
Went for Sunday brunch with family at 10 a.m. The food was delicious and the service was good, but not great. $1 mimosas and $3.50 Bloody Marys are a good deal. We've been visiting Foodworks for years and will continue to have it on our dining rotation.
First time visit was great! I will recommend to friends to try it out.
First ones in the door at opening, but had to wait for set up of table for 7.
Thank you for a great celebration night. Your staff did an awesome job with our party of 15..
This is a superb place for great food and fabulous service!!!
The only complaint I have was they sat us at a very small table. Too small for two people. We made do though. The noise level was very high. I checked the highest level on the survey question. It was titled “Energetic,” I would call it loud.
Over all, it was a nice experience and I will be back again.
Our server was perfect, kind, knowledgeable, and very attentive. The food is always good and the restaurantv had a great atmosphere.
Arrived a little early. Lots of people running around, but no one manning the host stand, so it took a little bit before we were greeted at the door. We were seated immediately. Waited a while before ever greeted by a waiter, so much so that we were looking around and considering leaving. Finally a waitress stopped to ask and then went to find a waiter. Service was decent and a little slow. Food was great! Seemed staff was just overwhelmed with all of the large parties around us.
The food and service was wonderful. Will definitely go back.
Met friends for brunch as I do most Sundays. FoodWorks never disappoints. I had the Crabcake Benedict which is always delicious. A few people at our table had the Smoked Salmon Omelette which they said was excellent. Two people had the Breakfast Burrito which is huge! We shared an order of the Blackberry French Toast with bacon and everyone loved it! Of course, how can you go wrong with $2 mimosas! Will definitely be back again, probably next week!
This used to be our favorite place to brunch but our service was slow, the waiter never came back to see if we would like another drink and the portions have been cut in half and increased in price. The only positive thing I can say is that my bloody mary was delicious. It would have been nice if I had been asked if I wanted another one since it was gone before our food arrived. We only saw our waiter when we ordered upon being seated and when he dropped off the ticket for us to pay and he wasn't very busy.
We got a good table, food was pretty good, the drink special was just okay... Nothing to write home about. Service was good but a bit slow.
We were there for Valentine’s Day and we absolutely enjoyed the food as well as the ambiance. Hands down my favorite restaurant in Chattanooga!
Food was good, request for main floor was observed and appreciated! Quiet table for 7 in the corner was perfect!
Consistently good food and great service. The staff has been there a long time, so there is little turnover (always a good sign of a well-run organization). It can be a little loud due to layout and lots of hard surfaces, but not obnoxiously so. Fun place to be with a creative vibe.
I love Food Works! My favorite place for my favorite meal, BRUNCH!! I recently brought two friends who had never been there and they loved it too. I suggest making reservations because it takes under 2 minutes to make a reservation. Which is an easy solution to waiting for a table. The service is excellent, the staff is so pleasant. I enjoy the atmosphere and exposed brick.
The food and service is usually good. However, on my last two visits my food has been cold and the potato portion of my brunch is now significantly smaller.
3 of 4 meals were good. The 4th meal got mixed with another order in the kitchen. It came 35 minutes after the other 3 meals. Manager never came over to apologize.
Makayla was amazing! Food and drinks were great!
The food was great but the service with our waitress left something to be desired.
Need to have vegan options on the menu. All we could order was side entrees. After driving over 40 minutes to get there and spending over $50 in food, we were very disappointed.
Great food - the artichoke dip is to die for. We always have a good time hereZ.
The brisket needed to be cooked much slower and longer. It was dry and tough. The Thai chicken and shrimp dish was lacking flavor at all, not heat, just real flavor. The poboy was good, and the ravioli was good and was huge. We ate upstairs where it was much quieter than below.
We brunched for my birthday. It was delish! Everyone enjoyed it and our waitress was awesome!
A unanimous choice for where our staff of eight (plus partners) wished to hold our annual staff holiday dinner, and all were beyond delighted with the experience.
Food Works always hits the ball out of the park. I'm a frequent dinner guest but this was my first brunch experience. The place was packed but our Open Table Reservation was honored and we were quickly seated. The service was prompt and the food was delicious.
This was my 54th birthday meal. We go to Food Works for brunch all the time. Today was just horrible. Our food was cold. Not room temperature but cold. Not everything came out at one time. My extra grit cake was 10 minutes later. A water refill was requested from two different servers and finally my friend just got up and went to the kitchen. I asked for more hollandaise. After I reminded our server a second time she returned with cold hollandaise. I asked why it was cold and she said "we serve hollandaise cold" WHAT!?!!? We request to speak to a Manager a second time and finally someone showed up. He had no explanation why our meal was such a disaster. Portions have been shrinking there for several months. Now serving cold Crab Benedict and icebox potatoes is a bridge too far. We love to eat at local restaurants and there are several options in downtown Chattanooga. Sad to see what was one of our favorite places plummet in quality and service.
We had a party of 10 for a reservation at 5 o’clock. The restaurant was half empty when we arrived and became busier as time went by. I don’t know if only having one waiter for a party of 10 is normal, but he seemed visibly overwhelmed throughout our meal and was serving other tables as well. We were there over 2 hours by the time it was all said and done and were very frustrated at the speed of service, or lack thereof. The food was great, but service was seriously lacking, which was unfortunate. Hopefully the next trip will be better!
I had the fish tacos and they were excellent. Everyone in our party seemed to enjoy their meal.
Good food & great service. It was our first time here, and the entrance was a bit hard to find (at night) on a frigid night. Wish we had known the entrance was in the back of the building away from the road.
New Year’s Eve early dinner fun! My little one’s favorite!
Great place to eat. Good menu. I highly recommend it.
Delicious fresh food - get the Bruchetta!!! Service was great too!
We arrived a little late to our reservation because our movie ran long but we were seated right away. Our waiter was great and the food was too!
Chicken piccata and mashed potatoes were great, the fries and calamari could haven been better - more yellow pepper rings than squid, fries w/o salt but loaded with garlic - seems they were both fried in oil that wasn't sufficiently preheated. Steaks were nice, but fat was not sufficiently rendered - despite these culinary flaws, I would go back. Not as pretentious as many of the Downtown restaurants can be.
Very Slow service - lacking attentiveness. Food Works is known for their blue cheese dip and sweet potato chips and was so looking forward to this appetizer but the blue cheese was tasteless and thickened with so much flour it had no taste. Crab cake was actually a salmon cake that our server said was on a previous menu. It was so fishy and smelly I had to send it back. Did not have the desserts available listed on the menu. Will not be returning and do not recommend!
We love Foodworks. Great food. Great service. Love it.
One of favorite places. Good food, good atmosphere. Would recommend going for brunch.
