Food Works Ratings and Reviews
The restaurant had no menus when we sat down. Had to use cell phones to order. We the meal arrived it was cold. I had shrimp and grits and they were extremely salty. My husband's beef brisket hash was filled with uncooked potatoes. My mom's waffle arrived cold and almost burned. We will not go back
I made a 6:15pm reservation to dine at Food Works several days in advance to celebrate Mother's Day with my wife and son. My wife and I have enjoyed the food and service in the past. When we arrived at the designated time, we were told our table was still occupied and the guests occupying the table were not close to finishing. The hostess asked us if we would mind taking a table in the bar. We were a little upset since we made a reservation, but agreed since we were all hungry and didn't want to wait. After a couple of minutes of being seated, the hostess returns to our table extremely embarrassed and asks us to move as the table she seated us at was actually reserved. She explained she made a mistake and apologized several times. We were getting really annoyed at this point, but again agreed to move a couple of tables away. I should note, there were multiple tables within the bar available. Shortly after we moved, a couple is seated at the table we just left. Throughout our dinner, I watch several restaurant staff come and greet them with hugs. Later, I asked our waitress if they are the owners of the restaurant. She confirmed they were investors. I was shocked that owners/investors of the restaurant would be the cause of their employees treating their customers so badly. I don't blame the hostess at all.....she was clearly embarrassed about having to ask us to move. I blame these owners for allowing it to happen and not placing their customers first. Very selfish!
I brought a group to Foodworks for a post-graduation celebration. I had been previously for a birthday celebration. Once again, Foodworks proved to be a great choice. We were seated in an area that provided nice space for our sizable group. Everyone was pleased with their meal, the ambiance and the overall experience. I will definitely return!
There were four of us, two of us would give it a 5 rating which was the horseradish salmon but the other two meals were just okay. The Ahi was dry and had little flavor and the steak was good but not great. Service was good! Wine list leaves a lot to be desired. Would not give it over a 4 total overall rating. Good but not great as stated earlier.
We had an early dinner here prior to attending a performance. We enjoyed the relative quiet and easy parking. It was helpful that we could make a reservation, removing anxiety from whether we would secure a table without worrying about getting to the theater on time.
The menu had so many options suitable for an early meal, ranging from full meals to dinner salads to sandwiches.
Service was attentive, professional, and friendly. Food was perfectly cooked and vegetables were fresh. Servings were generous and prices very reasonable. We would definitely be pleased to return.
Food Works is one of my favorite lunch places. I have used it as a destination for many business lunches. I really like their lunch menu options, the setting is rustic, but relatively quiet for conversation and it is reasonably priced. I highly recommend trying Food Works for lunch.
This is my 2nd time visiting Food Works and they did not disappoint. Everyone their is very welcoming and nice. I love eating brunch and that's the main reason why I picked this restaurant. The chicken & waffles are delicious. Their butter mixture is really good. How can you not order the $1 mimosa or better yet a double for $2!! Someone in my party had the Smoked beef brisket hash and it was absolutely delicious. I will definitely return for brunch again.
Our reservation for 8 was set for 1 pm. We were not seated until 2. Other groups who did not have a reservation were seated before us. The hostess apparently had us slated for a particular table and kept telling us that as soon as that group left we would be seated. Finally, another spot was made for us because that group was not leaving. While the service was great and food delicious, the reservation system apparently has serious flaws for larger groups.
My girlfriends and I were in town to run the Chattanooga half marathon. We came in for brunch to celebrate our run. The wait was a little long but was well worth it. I had chicken and waffles, two friends had crab cake eggs Benedict, and another enjoyed the caramel French toast. Everyone thought their food was delicious!
Great ambiance! The food was tasty , reasonable prices! Fast service , good selection of plates! I got black bean burger and my spouse the schrimp and grits! We both were please and the drinks were excellent too! Martinis were excellent too!! Our waitress was ok a little no much of personality !! I said that because I work at the public service industry and personality is a big deal!!!
