We chose Fogo De Chao as our dinner location for a birthday celebration. We had a blast with our waiter and all of the'gauchos' (the meat servers) who are running around making sure you've tried every wonderful cut of meat they offer. The food was wonderful, the mini-cheese filled popovers were outstanding and the variety of food soup, salads and anti-pastas offered there's something for everyone. The dessert plate was decorated with 'Happy Birthday' and we were able to choose any dessert which was complementary for the birthday girl. We all shared the dessert although we didn't need one after our huge and delicious meal!! Fogo De Chao is a great place for a special occasion!!

I was a little disappointed in how long it took to get steal the way i requested it. It seemed like most of the choices were undercooked . I dont mind a little pink but 75 % were medium rare, not to many people i know like it that way .

It's was our first time dining in, a lot of our friends told us to try it out because they liked it and fortunately, we liked it too... the food, the staff, the drinks and did i mentioned the FOOD. anyways, i'll definitely tell my friends to try this place out.

We visited Fogo de Chao while we were in Minneapolis visiting our son who's at school at the U. The place is huge and the wait staff seemed overwhelmed. We had to ask for our drink order three times over a 20 minute period of time before we received it. Side dishes arrived half way through our meal and they offered us shrimp cocktail (which was delicious) as they were clearing our plates. The salad bar had a nice selection and the staff did a nice job of keeping it filled. Wines by the glass had a nice selection and the caprihias were delicious.
It was fun for one visit but I wouldn't go agp. The experience and meat did not match the price tag.

If you like meat this is the place! It is fabulous, starts off with a terrific "salad bar", which is in quotes because it is so much more than that! The staff are incredible - absolutely best service in town, hands down.

My main issue was the poor service by our waiter (not the gauchos who were totally on the ball). We were over halfway through our meal before we received our beverages. We would not have been served drinks at all as our assigned waiter disappeared just a few minutes after we were seated, whisking away our wine list without asking if we wanted drinks, and never returning to ask how we were doing. Eventually we flagged down a different waiter and asked for drinks. He then sent our designated waiter to our table to take our drink orders. It then took another 10-15 minutes for our waiter to actually bring our drinks. Really not impressed with the service in this regard. The restaurant was very busy so perhaps we were just there at a bad time for service.
As far as the gauchos go, they practically bombarded us with meat during our first half hour or so. Then it tapered off to a more reasonable, though still abundant pace of delicious meat offerings. The salad bar and other side items were tasty.
The restaurant ambiance was good. A very attractive space.
All in all, pretty good but for the money the service should have been better.

We normally love this place. Saturday , we waited a long time for the meat. The salad bar didn't have the olives or bacon. When we did get the meat lot of it was dry and tendony. We waited forever for our bill, and I got a free dessert for birthday but brought out with strawberries on it which I'm allergic to. They did box up a different one to take but I would have rather passed at that point to have had the bill. Just was disappointed since we usually have great service. Might need to try something else for next special occasion given the money spent didn't feel worth it.

Always good food including the salad bar :) could be more quiet for intimate conversations, but I realize it was very busy so there was a lot of commotion. Overall good food, good experience and waitstaff was very friendly and made sure we hit exactly the choice of meat we wanted.

With five servers taking care of a section, it is either "feast or famine" with service. Needing to make the same request more than once; it keeps water filled and clean plates coming, but often a simple request wits for ten minutes with each server thinking someone else has gone to the table. Salad bar often was wanting of one or more items, and our table was too far away to go back and see if the item was replenished. Soup was excellent; missed the small garlic red potatoes on the salad bar; prosciutto was not there 'twice'.

Went here to celebrate my brothers birthday, it happened to be during restaurant week. They allowed us to choose between the two menus, which was nice but ultimately I think led to the poor service that evening. Half of our table did the regular menu and half did the restaurant week menu. We went long periods between chefs coming by with meat, and when we asked multiple people for more rolls it took over 15 minutes for more to be brought to the table. Most of the meat I had that I asked for medium was more rare, and I ended up not being able to stomach it. Servers were friendly and tried their best to deal with the busy atmosphere, but the chefs left something to be desired. When we would see them walk around, they would look over our table all together even when our cards were green and plates were empty. This was not my first visit, but by far the worst I've had. I'm not sure that I will be back in the future.

Hopping place with great food. You get your sides, salads and soups at the food bar, then meat is served to you by the slice at your table, as much or as little as you want. There was lots of great tasting beef, lamb, pork and chicken.
The service was fantastic. You feel like everyone is there to meet your needs.
We went for restaurant week and while it was a slightly smaller menu, we had plenty to choose from.
One pice of advice, come hungry and you won't be disappointed.

We come here quite often for lunch/dinner and special occasions like birthdays or special dates. We love it every single time. The food is amazing. The service is incredible and the staff is always so kind and attentive.

This is my favorite place to go and eat too much. Our service was amazing---funny, kind, quick. There was a table by the door (we have been there before) and when we asked to be seated elsewhere---every though they were crazy busy, Fogo manager quickly responded. Thank you for that. We had quests from out of town and this was much appreciated.

This was our first time and like we heard from reviewers left very stuffed and still feel that way days later, and that was with going light on the salad bar. The wait staff was very superb, always ready to take a dish, ask a question, see how things were going, see if we needed anything. We spent a lot of the time talking about when we could come back.

We went to Fogo for my parent's anniversary (my wife and I had gone before). They were very happy. The different cuts of meat are nothing short of amazing. The amount of meat you get for the price is great. There's no way you could try such an extensive array of cuts at any other restaurant for this price. Their staff is also very friendly and helpful and has always explained how the process works to those who've never been. I definitely recommend it!

Only go here on restaurant week for the great value and the excitement. If they had more specials like this I would go more frequently. Twice a year on restaurant week with a group of guys is the best. Great food, great restaurant and great company can't be beat.

Always great food, always tons of it. You don't leave Fogo de Chao hungry or unsatisfied. It's tempting to load up at the salad bar, but you must resist a full plate there. Save as much room as possible for the meat selections.

Have been to other Brazilian Steak houses but never this chain. I was highly disappointed. We did go during restaurant week so it was busy (as to be expected). We went very long periods with out anyone coming to offer us a selection of meat, the wait staff even noticed and started sending them our way but we watched multiple times as the people around us were being served but we were not. I would never pay full price for this place and I probably will never go back.

The service was not personal, we were left to feel we were rushed to get in and out. The food selection was poor, including the salad bar. There were little to no toppings to make a salad outside of onions and dressing. The meat choices were limited, and those that were available were overcooked with too much salt.
I've attended outside of restaurant week, and during restaurant week. This experience was by far the most unpleasant and just cause for my not to return for some time.

We dined here during Minneapolis Restaurant week. We were unaware when making reservations that the restaurant week menu did not include the 'premium' meats but did include dessert. This was explained to us when we were seated. Since it was our anniversary and my favorite item there was one of the 'premium meats' we decided to do the full meal. The hostess that seated said that she would give us the dessert anyway. The service from the meat servers was fantastic, they right away learned our favorite items and how we liked then cooked and stopped by out table with our favorites regardless of if we were green or red to make sure we got our fill. This was amazing! The problems came with dessert. We asked before ordering dessert if one dessert was included or one for each of us. We were told one for each us, so we ordered the chocolate cake and key lime pie to go, we were so full. When the bill came we were charged for both desserts! When we talked to a hostess that we were told when seated, and was confirmed by our server that we could both get dessert, she said the hostess didn't know what she was talking about. After more discussion she agreed to take one dessert off. We left a little upset. Then later that night when we sat down to eat our dessert we were very disappointed that we got 2 pieces of cheesecake, not even what we ordered. Going to Fogo is a big deal to us, we go yearly on our anniversary. The dessert debacle left a bad taste in our mouth, we may try someplace different next time :-(

Been here quite a few times. This was a Restaurant Week visit which does not include Fogo's best cuts of beef, beef ribs or lamb chops.
The food was good the service excellent. Salad bar is always good.
There is an up-charge option during Restaurant Week for the prime meats: Ribeye, filet cuts, Lamb chops, Beef ribs... if you want to pay regular prices and dessert is included as a part of RW.
I think its just an OK value for RW and probably won't attend during RW again due to the limited choices compared to normal dining.
I think Fogo could add Beef Ribs or Lamb Chops to the RW menu from a value perspective maybe in lieu of dessert or straight up.
No matter what it is a fun and vibrant experience each time.

Went for Restaurant Week, was disappointed that they removed premium cuts from the offerings unless you upgraded to the standard dinner price. Service and food that was included were still great, but the menu change was a disappointing surprise. Their sides are the best and their service has always been phenomenal.

We ate Lunch at Fogo for my birthday. The food was delicious! I would just go there for the salad bar but my boyfriend wanted to indulge in some steak as well so we did that. It was his first time there but I have been there a handful of times. The food was great as always but the service was much slower then I had remembered in the past. We waited 15 minutes to get out check. Plus side was we got a complimentary dessert since it was my birthday. That was nice. I'll go back but probably for dinner instead.
