Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse - Baltimore Ratings and Reviews
Well Baltimore never ceases to amaze me ...
Well Baltimore never ceases to amaze me with its vast variety of restaurants, and just when I think I know practically all of them, I find another wonderful one! Fogo de Chao was fantastic, and the perfect place to celebrate my friend's special birthday. From the hostess's winning smile, to the excellent service, to the terrific food and drink, and on and on, the evening was a sheer delight. Put Fogo on your "must try" list, and I promise you will not be disappointed!

We were very excited to go to Fogo de Chau for my husbands Birthday, however it did not turn out as we thought. The atomesphere was super loud, good luck having a conversation. Chaotic staff running everywhere because it was so busy. We were given a brief explanation of how the restaurant works however our server left out the part of how we are served by the wait staff, flip the little red/green card over when you want service!! Meanwhile I'm trying to flag people down, wondering why I'm being ignored...would have been nice to know. Over all it was not a good experience for a couple, much better suited for groups or families.
At least now we know, I would not return under the same circumstances.

This restaurant never disappoints. Excellent quality of meats, sides, the selection from the of from the Market Table is outstanding; fresh vegetables, salads, cured meats - something for everyone. We liked the option of ordering shrimp cocktail. Service is what to be expected of such an establishment; friendly, courteous, we were never waiting for a selection choice when our markers were flipped to green. One of our party prefers more well done and the servers were very quick to accommodate.

We came here for our wedding anniversary! we were 30mins early for our reservation but were seated immediately (on a friday night!). We were getting food right away after sitting down, the waiters were very friendly and helpful. Overall great experience even though it is pretty pricey for 2 people with only one cocktail each and the full experience!

I enjoyed my experience at Fogo de Chao but I regret going in the later hours. The meat seemed to stop 30 minutes or more even before closing. The staff was nice when we asked that they bring back a specific meat. The atmosphere was nice, the salad bar had variety but I had hoped there would be more sauces for the meat and side items to eat the meat with. The meat could've been more flavorful but overall we had a good experience. I'm not sure the meat is to my taste but I would definitely recommend to a friend who doesn't prefer bold flavors in their food.

This is a great place to go, as long as you know it will take every ounce of will power not to leave uncomfortably full. Per person cost was just over $50 for meal alone, with reasonably priced (for a restaurant) wine. The meal experience comes with a food bar visit and unlimited and wide variety of meats cut at your table. Generally, meats are available at all doneness levels. The bar visit (top quality salads, soups, cheeses and bread) will leave most satisfied before the second course arrives. Of course, save room for dessert- this place has delectable sweets for any palate. The wait staff will make you think they're listening in on your conversations, they're so quick to respond to needs and requests. Speaking from experience, this place is a wonderful place to go for significant events, like big birthdays. Absolutely no complaints.

Took a business contact and spouse here for dinner. I have been to other Fogo De Chao restaurants in Philadelphia and Miami and always had a good experience. Baltimore was no exception. Fastidious service, excellent food, solid wine selection and an upscale environment.

Slow service. Not accommodating to special requests. Food was just OK. Waiter insisted and even argued with us that side plates go on the right and not the left - against all dining etiquette! Would not recommend or go there again.

I normally love Fogo de Chao, but this time the meat was very salty and the waiter did not provide us with plates until we would turn our red/green sign over to green. It was a party of 7. So four people got their plates and three did not. Then three people turned theirs over and two more people got their plates, the third person turned over one that was next to her by mistake instead of hers and did not get a plate. We noticed the mistake and then she turned it over to green and we waited again for her to get a plate. I was disappointed that for the table of 7 we had to wait, not sure how long, to receive plates because we were not told that we had to turn over our sign. I have been to Fogo de Chao countless times and have never before been told that we had to turn over the sign in order to get a plate. In the past, we would receive our plates and were told that to get the meats we would have to turn over the sign to green.

Went for my birthday dinner. Our server was awful. Didn't get a refill on my drink until the end of our meal. Couldn't get a refill on sides and never got asked if I wanted a dessert. No manager insight or came to our table to make sure things were ok when my husband finally complained to another server. Awful experience for a special dinner and price to eat there.

Have dined at similar restaurants before. The experience at this one fell between the others. the items at the market/salad bar were varied and outstanding. would have preferred a broader selection of egg preparation but still can't complain. will definitely eat there again periodically.

Food was, in general, very good, though because we were sort of stuck in the corner a number of roving servers missed us. Service was enthusiastic but uneven: we asked for sauces twice, and eventually received two out of the three we requested. We asked for side dishes three times before they arrived, then continued to receive them even after we'd said we isn't want any more. Server gave us a free dessert because it was our anniversary, an unexpected treat. The salad bar/marketplace seemed skimpier than the last time I was there. The place is loud, with nothing to absorb the noise. We had a fun time, but I wouldn't go often.

This place is known for it's ability to feed you a lot of meat. However, they also have a great salad bar fit for a vegetarian option. The only thing I would change is offering the black beans without sausage. Another item to consider, since kids eat free, you might find yourself paying for an expensive dinner with a bunch of whiny kids.

I felt like the men carrying the meat, some of them were very attentive.
Several times some of the guys would walk right by our table without even asking if I was interested in that meat option. They would service everyone at the surrounding table . There was only about 7 to 9 tables seated and none of them were big parties, so I didn't understand why I was consistently being walked passed when I was on the green side.
I felt the same options of meats were circulating.
One of our servers- he was kind of rude. This definitely wasn't my best visit.

Everything was delicious especially the cheesy bread balls. The steaks were very good as was the lamb. Chicken was a little on the try side and the bacon wrapped filet mignon cutlets were overdone, dry and a bit chewy. I only got to try 1 rib and I didn't see any ribs come out again. Overall the food was awesome, waiters friendly and it's a perfect place for someone who wants to eat various meats grilled the Brazilian way.

My husband and I had reservations to celebrate our anniversary; rarely would we spend this much on a meal, but we loved Fogo the first time we went for a family birthday celebration. Unfortunately, on the morning of our reservation, I received a call and message from the manager informing me that they would be closed that day. I do understand that things happen, but he offered no explanation (health code?) or incentive to reschedule. It was just a disappointing experience for us, and one that leaves us wondering if we will return again.

Horrible birthday experience! The restaurant was nice, the people were nice but the price was extreme. I believe I was overcharged. I went with a group of friends for my 21st birthday and I literally only had 1 slice of steak, a glass of wine, and some mashed potatoes. My bill totaled $121.00 I was too tired to dispute the charge but I believe they should find a different way of billing because that was extreme! A friend of mine had nearly everything that was on the menu for that night and was billed only $1.00 more!!
