FLYTE Ratings and Reviews

I have posted previous reviews qualifying Flyte as one of the two best restaurants in Nashville. I am writing again for two reasons. No matter how many times I have dined there, there is always an exquisite surprise in the menu (a soup yesterday). Secondly, there has been recent refurbishing of the premises, with good taste and an impact on noise, which is reduced. A bit expensive but unquestionably worth the experience every time

We went to their 10th anniversary celebration to try their Flytes and check out the new decor! What a meal!!! Appetizer: Spring roll & deviled eggs, Salad or soup, pork or duck entrees, sorbet or chocolate for dessert. The service at Flyte is always beyond measure! Never hurried. Our waiter Damien, (also phenomenal bartender and cocktail menu developer) was a delight. Everyone well versed on meal, preparation, local providers. Manager Will and owner Scott came by to welcome us and thank us for dining with them. We go 4-6 times a year and we were remembered!

Absolutely great dinner! The food was so delicious! We were a group of 6 and order the pad Thai popcorn which had great flavors, also order a shrimp pesto pasta appetizer. The pesto was to die for! We all ordered a different entree and enjoyed every bit. On top of the great food, the service was excellent! Will, the manager, took care of us and Todd our waiter was great. Todd knew the menu really well and gave great recommendations! The whole staff was just excellent!! FLYTE is a must if you're looking for great food with great service!

GREAT experience at Flyte recently. Was visiting from out of town with friends and was able to secure a table for 6 - seated in the room near the kitchen, which was awesome to see the professionals work their craft. Immediately seated, manager offered up suggestions for wine, even providing samples of each (blind taste test - smart!). Food was creatively prepared and served promptly; service never left us wanting. Easy Uber or relatively short walk from downtown hotels - highly recommend!

Got 2 apps-both blah. Got the pork dish and side of white beans-both blah. My date got the filet and loved it-I thought it only ok. Got the pot du creme-very good. The menu is a little light on selections. The wait staff including the host/hostess were superlative. The food was not enticing enough to go back for a retry.

I would definitely recommend flyte for a special occasion i hosted my best friend's 30th borthday party here and i was running very late due to an emergency and the manager was so accommodating! He kept the kitchen open late and the servers were so patient and helpful. The night was a success thanks to the stellar staff!

The food was outstanding. The service was even more outstanding. We canceled our reservation at nearby Prima after seeing the Flyte menu, and I know if was a great decision. We were a little early at our reservation, so we sat at the bar and had a wonderful talk with Damian, who turned out to be a "scientist of spirits" of sorts. He made my a wonderful pass the buck for me and made my pregnant wife a sweet and savory mocktail with sage and fresh fruit juices. One of the owners also came over and assured us that our corner seating would be ready soon. We went with the Indian-themed scallops and the duck breast. Both were delicious. It really seems like the Flyte staff is like a big family with a common goal of making each diner feel special. We will definitely be back when we end up in Nashville again.
