Made a reservation for myself and ended up sitting at the bar instead because, well, I just like sitting at the bar when it's just me.
The bartender's were super friendly, make great recommendations, and were quick to take care of whatever was needed without being overbearing which is a hard balance to find at any restaurant.
I loved the overall look and feel of the place. It was appropriately dark enough to make it feel sophisticated, great art on the walls, great music, and an approachable menu. I had the filet and it was fantastic.
Would recommend for dining alone, hanging with friends, or a romantic date night :) can't wait to go back!

We enjoyed our dinner at FLYTE. Our server was very attentive and the food was good. It is a bit pricey especially if you are drinking alcohol, but we were having a date night so this was expected. The menu changes with the season and availability and it is Farm to table. Next time, we will try the lounge for their happy hour!

My husband and I had New Years Eve dinner at Flyte. They had a prix fixe menu. We both started with the butternut squash soup; my husband loved it, but it was a bit too sweet for my taste. We moved on to the mushroom risotto, which was great, and a ham assortment, which also was good. For our main course, we had the grouper and the salmon; both were delicious. For desert, we had the caramel apple cake paired with ice cream and the chocolate panna cotta; both were good. It was busier at Flyte on NYE than we've seen in the past. We love Flyte for its flavors, and aside from the butternut squash soup (for me at least), the food is usually phenomenal. The other reason we love Flyte is that given the quality of the restaurant, they still manage to make it feel cozy and welcome us with additional tastings (compliments of the chef). We always enjoy Flyte and look forward to our next visit.

This restaurant has a nice, upscale feel. They put an emphasis on the local ingredients - which is great - and their wine list really stands out (though they had a solid selection of beers/spirits as well. Our waitress was knowledgeable and helpful regarding pairings, etc. It would be good for a date or special occasion, though we were getting together with friends and it was good for that as well. The entrees are all in the $27-$40 range so it can add up relatively quickly, though all the food was delicious.

Great place for a special occasion. Staff is super friendly and professional. They went out of their way to make my night special. Be sure to get the filet. The pork is good, but you'll likely be wishing for a biscuit to help push all that southern goodness onto your fork and into your belly!
Drinks were pricey but top notch. One of the best; most legit old fashioned I've had in Nashville.

Wonderful wine selection and amazing food. Definite stop on the Nashville food scene. We sat in the kitchen view dining room, which was a great open kitchen experience. The kitchen was quiet and efficient and added to the ambience instead of distracting from it.

I celebrated my birthday with family and friends on a recent week night at Flyte. They brought complimentary champagne to the table immediately upon being seated in honor of the occasion. The food and service was outstanding! Would highly recommend eating there!

Great dinner with good food, good wine, and lovely presentation. I sat at the bar, so I didn't see the main dining room. The bartender was very helpful when I was trying to identify which won't I wanted with dinner and let me try a couple before I chose the one I wanted. Overall a bit expensive, but worth it for a great dining experience.

Thanks to the staff, the chef and his group, the bartenders... they all made our dinner a wonderful experience.
My wife and I flew from Chicago to celebrate her birthday and came back knowing that we made the right choice.
I will promote it in a couple of international sites I review places in different parts of the world.

A really unique restaurant close to Music Row and Vanderbilt University. The staff was knowledgeable and attentive without being annoying, and the food was creative and very tasty. Get a side of creamy potatoes, for sure. As a bonus, the wine list was filled with affordable options and the desserts were as good as the mains.

We had a wonderful experience at Flyte on our recent visit to Nashville. We started with cocktails and snacks/starters. The most notable being the Roasted Beets & Arugula salad. We enjoyed some terrific wines with our dinner entrees. As someone who doesn't usually go for such a dish, CJ (who has a knowledgeable palette) was drawn to the Seafood Stew and it was incredible! Finally, we ended with coffees and desserts. Again CJ picked the winner with the Dark Chocolate Pots de Creme; the olive oil gelato was so delicious. Also, the restaurant was beautiful, the service was A+, and we wanted to take home the artwork hanging near the kitchen. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Parking was easy (complimentary valet) and very efficient. The bar area was so cool - great place to hang out with friends! The appetizers (we had 3!) were so delicious, especially the gnudi. The house cocktails were equally good. The entrees were FABULOUS: our table had the filets, the seafood stew, and the duck breast(!!). All the main dishes were prepared perfectly, although the roasted potatoes accompanying the filets were hard and undercooked. Desserts were excellent too (order the apple crumble or the panna cotta!), as were our after-dinner drinks. The only negative for us was the service - the waiter got our drink orders wrong twice, which was frustrating. The second time, we didn't even bother with correcting it. We will definitely go again, but will request a different waiter.

While Flyte has slowly evolved since it's opening - the focus no longer on flytes (pairings) of food/wine for each course - with a new chef aboard and a remodeled dining area, it remains one of the better restaurants in Nashville. The bar is welcoming with an excellent selection of spirits and creative cocktails. A great place to await your table or meet with friends after work. The food remains locally sourced, is creatively prepared and well presented. Service is outstanding from the moment you walk in the door until you exit. Definitely a restaurant I continue to enjoy and recommend to friends.
