Flourish is the stunning new restaurant & lounge located on the grounds of the CopperWynd Resort in the scenic mountains above Fountain Hills. Serving an ever-changing menu of locally-sourced, healthful yet crave-able eats for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Flourish pairs exceptional food and beverage with 180-degree vistas of Scottsdale, Fountain Hills and the distant Four Peaks wilderness. Flourish also tempts with a bar menu and a weekday happy hour served in the stylish lounge and outdoor dining terrace, including an expansive selection of organic wines, craft beers and signature cocktails made with cold-pressed juices and artisan spirits. Glass doors in the dining room slide open to provide a Sonoran Desert dining experience courtesy of Mother Nature. A sprawling patio wraps around the building to offer additional outdoor seating, and Flourish also offers cozy fireside seating upon special request.

The menu is limited and the chef appears to be more interested in plate appearance than food quality. The service is good and the views from the restaurant site are the best in the Phoenix area. Overall, a good experience but the food quality has diminished with the recent change.

Upscale buffet brunch with beautiful choices from a beef filet to fresh halibut. I am a vegetarian who eats fish and there were plenty of options for me as well. Incredible view overlooking Four Peaks and the Verde Valley. Sliding glass windows opened all the way for an inside/outside dining experience surrounded by high end design decor. We ended up staying so long we went from late breakfast to a late lunch. $10 endless champagne. We got our money's worth. Prettiest view in the Valley.

Table on edge of patio was wonderful...lots of exuberance from the wedding on the lawn...but it was fun to listen but be back as a bystander! Food not as pleasing as other years ...limited menu. The half chicken must have come from a legless mutant because no leg...no thigh. .and I'm a dark meat person. The short rib was outstanding and a huge portion. We will definitely be back...as we have for years...to this very unique and wonderful spot with matchless views, a beautiful room, wonderful outside and inside dining, great wait staff.

Timing is everything in life! This was our first time at this restaurant, regretfully they were hosting a wedding on same evening which thru everything off. We waited approx. 50min for a table near the open deck. When we were finally seated, there were three tables; the hostess sat us at the far left which was directly adjacent to the wedding party speakers which the DJ just started playing the moment we ordered wine. It was too much. We left.
It was clear to us the place was trying to maximize revenue by filling tables at our expense. There is no way we should have been seated where we were what with the thump-thump-thump noise abliviating the otherwise romantic, elegant and upscale theme. It was impossible to have a normal conversation. At the very least we should have been informed. Inexcusable.

Flourish is a gem that more people should know about however I love that it is still a secret....amazing views, outstanding food, and two of the best servers in the country by way of John and Jennifer. They make every visit here a memorable one. While the name, decor and chefs have changed over the years, these two provide a welcome sense of steadiness that makes you care less what the current name is or who is cooking. It so happens that the "who is cooking" this time, Paul, did a fabulous job as ever dish was prepared perfectly. Well done to the team at Flourish but an even better job to John and Jennifer who never disappoint. Already made our Christmas Eve reservation and can't wait to come back!

Eaten here twice, Saturday and Sunday, both times food bad. Halibut over cooked. Snow crab claws- not cracked and no tools to crack with. Wrapped claw in napkin, put on tile floor and hit with handle of knife. Pretty classy. Ugh.

Flourish is a beautiful modern restaurant with an amazing view of Fountain Hills. It is located at the CopperWynd resort in Fountain Hills. The food is highly experimental and all courses were delicious and a beautiful work of art to behold. The décor is modern, sophisticated, with a slight rustic western feel. The patio is the place to be with running water falls just at your feet, a grassy area is suitable for wedding receptions and photographs overlooking the city below. One can even see Fountain Hills landmark fountain off in the distance at the top of the hour for about 15-30 minutes depending on time of year. The house special was ordered which was a 12 oz sliced New York strip steak with cherry balsamic reduction over mustard greens. Cherry tomatoes topped off the dish. A charcuterie board was ordered preceding the main course. The board was artfully laid out with charred house made bread, two types of cheeses and two types of meats (prosciutto and salami). Included with the board were pickled olives with a cinnamon base flavor. For anyone looking for a romantic quiet and exquisite dinner with their soulmate, I'd recommend this restaurant in a heartbeat.

My husband and I found this restaurant by using the Open Table app on our phones and it was beyond our expectations. It was quiet with stunning views. Best meal I have had in a long time and we dine out often. We had the Brussel sprouts for an appetizer and it was the best dish I have ever tasted with such an unpopular vegetable. Anyway, it was heavenly. It was divine.
BIG DISAPPOINTMENT I have patronized Cop ...
I have patronized CopperWynd's various restaurant incarnations since they opened initially more than 15 years ago. The recent remodel magically capitalized on the magnificent view, making it visible from all areas of the restaurant. And they greatly enhanced the tables and added couch-fire pit settings on the patio. Also, tablecloths have disappeared entirely.
Visited a few nights ago. My only two favorites on the menu have been dropped. "Corn-dog lobster" (expensive, but worth it) no longer on the happy hour listing.
Gnocchi with Short ribs dropped from the Dinner menu. And, their expensive hamburger--which was the LEAST costly item--no longer on the dinner menu.
The menu, alas, has dropped another notch from the overpriced version they introduced along with the renovation. No matter. We don't mind paying for quality.
The "Half Chicken" turned out to be a chicken breast, and it was dry at that.
The steak tenderloin, came with mashed potatoes as the fancy spuds listed "were not made that night". The steak was cooked medium rare as requested, but did not measure up to a steakhouse version--it was smaller and less flavorful.
The short-ribs main showed up with no more than 4 ounces of short-ribs--less than had accompanied the now-discontinued Gnocchi with short ribs, but at twice the price.
Homemade pudding excellent and unusual!
Overall, Copperwynd's beautiful restaurant Flourish is heading in the wrong direction. Really disappointed to say, as I want this place to keep it's door open, but nothing was up to par. If I do recommend Flourish to friends, it will be with several caveats.
Note: I had invited a business associate to Happy Hour at Flourish the following afternoon primarily to show off the place. Another disappointment. The HH menu has changed, choices are quite unusual (again, okay if well prepared) but the app's did not compare with the bourbons and soda. And the HH now only runs until 5:00 PM.

Appear to be interested in feedback but also seem to just be going through the motions. Having said all that, worth going, worth experiencing. There was talk about the changing menu but didn't see that happen. Who serves breakfast and is "out of the pancakes." How can you possibly be "out of pancakes?" Go figure. No longer serving pork belly but a lot of other restaurants are - what's the logic?

A nice restaurant with a beautiful view. But, in comparison to other places for Sunday breakfast/brunch - they fall short to others.
We asked for Toto's screwdriver - drink came in a flute, no ice. Told by server, no breakfast potatoes. ( Really? ) No welcome bread - asked for a muffin or scone ... Server came back, no - nothing available. ( Again, really - a resort doesn't have ... ? ). Offered no coffee, dessert. No decoration, flowers, placemats on table. Server sweet, but, seemed unsure of what they had or could do. Good food - but, nothing extra on plate ... Felt cold. Would come back for view, a drink ... Go somewhere else for Sunday brunch. No one else in restaurant ... Now we know why, better options around.

This is an amazing find. If you want the quintessential best kept secret then I recommend visiting. The food is absolutely superb, fresh, local and incredibly put together. The venue is absolutely spectacular with beautiful views of the mountains and a warm yet contemporary decor (beautiful art!).
This was our wedding anniversary and the Chef even accommodated our special request of a Coconut Cream pie! And he did not charge us for it! How many places would do that? I doubt any of the Scottsdale snooty overpriced spots.

Very disappointed in this restaurant. We had dined there 3 times before and loved it.
We were telling friends from Scottsdale to come and eat there. Since our last visit they have a new chef and a new menu. All of the very interesting dishes that they had are gone. Now it's just another boring Hotel restaurant.
Beautiful Views and Setting...
I met colleagues at Flourish for a business lunch. The brussel sprouts and soup were delicious! The views from Flourish are amazing and it was a perfect location for our business luncheon. I have been to Flourish before and when the restaurant is crowded it is very noisy and difficult to have a conversation. Fortunately, there were only a few people dining during this visit and it was very easy to have a conversation with my colleagues.
They can't cook steak or lamb correctly
Overall this was a pleasant experience until you get to the food. Our friends both had pasta dishes which were very good. I had the filet and my wife had the lamb. Both ordered medium rare. Both meats were severely overcooked and not properly rested. SHAME on the chefs. Two outstanding cuts of meat ruined as well as my hope for a quality eatery in Fountain Hills.
This used to be a good place to eat and to enjoy the beauty of the AZ mountains but since the remodel I have found the food to be less then pleasing. It isn't a mix of flavors that are appealing to me or my husband. I think we're done going there.

The food was spectacular. We had appetizers and happy hour one night and a full dinner another night. We also had breakfast three mornings and the service and order accuracy in the morning was spotty. The servers were all very accommodating, but in the morning the staffing could be better. The food and view are superb! This is a great restaurant and I am hopeful that it will "flourish" and succeed so that I can return for many years to come.
