Fleming's Steakhouse - Raleigh Ratings and Reviews
Our server was nice and accommodating. Wine recommendation was excellent but expensive. Steak was fair, and the overall experience was just over priced. Payed the same amount a week before at another restaurant in the area(capital grille) and had a much better meal and service for less.
The restaurant had an extensive wine list and a great old fashioned. Unfortunately, the service was slow, steaks were overcooked, and appetizers and sides were mediocre. The most disappointing part of the meal was not being table-checked by a supervisor. That made it seem as if no one cared how our experience was going. We will not return and regret not spending our evening elsewhere.
This was our first trip to Fleming's Prime Steakhouse in Raleigh as we celebrated my wife's Birthday. The place is very well appointed and spacious. We enjoyed a cocktail as we looked over the menu and decided on what we would have to eat and wine to have with our choices. The water was helpful with suggestions as to size of portions and most popular items. I chose the lamb chops with roasted vegetables, and my wife ordered the 8 oz. filet minion. We ordered sides (separate cost) of creamed spinach and saute baby mushrooms. Her Filet ($47.00) was cooked perfect and tasted very good but about average and my lamb chops ($36.00) turned out to be only three bone-in chops with a cherry tomato cut in half and a few onion strings. The sides were very good and they did give us a $25.00 gift card for a return visit. Way over priced is the story here and we will not be going back again.
Waiter was very slow. Was spending time with other tables like he knew them. Gave them discount certificates. I spent well over 100 and would like good service. Water glass was empty for at least 15 min. Also didn't have a GF dessert my wife wanted. Food seemed very good but service would keep me away. If I was manager, I'd definitely want to know this.
My parents and my boyfriends family went there, and I have heard nothing but good things about this place and how the food is divine. I went inside personally, it was just a little noisy but looked very intimate and romantic and besides that looked very fancy family dinner place.
My filet had to be sent back to achieve a medium well. Try one was charcoal on the outside and cool purple on the inside. The last attempt was no longer recognizable as a steak. The manager did remove it from the bill. Secondly we had the king crab legs which are normally excellent quality steamed crab legs. This visit they were soaked and permeated with paprika to the point our fingers were stained red. While they were edible we were shocked to see the market price had lept from $48 from our last visit to $87 this visit. A jump of this magnitude clearly calls for a warning.
This was our first at Fleming's. We had heard many good things, but the food was just okay. Our waiter made a mistake on our order - and the manager did deduct that from our bill - but then they forgot to give us our leftovers. Otherwise the service was acceptable. The vegetables were hard and under cooked. For a $300+ meal, it did not meet our expectations of fine dining. Would I go back and try again? There was nothing remarkable enough to make me want to go again and take another $300 gamble on better food.
It was our 20th wedding anniversary and they didn’t skip a beat. Rose petals on the table, truffles, outstanding bottle of wine and excellent service! We always choose Fleming’s for special occasions. We’ve never had a bad experience.
We were all very pleased. It was our first time eating there but it will not be the last. The cocktails were perfect. Modt of the party ordered steak and everyone agreed that it was the best steak they'd ever had. We were very happy that someone put petals and a card on the table for my parents anniversary. We really appreciated the special touches like the truffles and gift card that was given to my parents when we left. I felt like the resturant went above and beyond.
If you want the best steak, service and ambiance Fleming's is your go to restaurant in Raleigh. Having been to all the steak houses in town, Fleming's is the one that consistently checks all the boxes for us. My husband and I like our steaks extremely rare, which Fleming's cooks to perfection. No matter how you like your meal prepared, you won't be disappointed. If you haven't been to Fleming's yet, put this on your wish list.
We had an outstanding waiter and were visited by the manager. The food was pretty good but have had comparable steaks at Sullivan's and Ruth's Chris, with better-matched temperatures. We would have preferred the martini to have been shaken prior to being brought to our table. The "show" with the ice and spoon sas unnecessary and didn't leave the drink as cold (with the thin ice you would expect) as a well-crafted martini should be. Also, my husband has a poultry allergy was assured 100% that the French Onion soup and other items he ordered were not made with Chicken Stock or any chicken by-products. Unfortunately, he had a reaction to something while we were there. We suspect the soup as that is when the reaction started, even though we were guaranteed by the waiter 100% that it was made with beef stock only. Unfortunately, since we don't know the culprit of my husband's allergic reaction, we will not be able to return to this restaurant.
Our server Aaron was superb. We took my elderly mother in law to dinner. She needs to eat early so she can get to bed. I informed Aaron of this and he orchestrated a beautiful service that fulfilled our needs specifically. All courses were delivered on time fresh and hot. Thanks again Aaron.
My family of four decided to dine out on Thanksgiving this year. My mother passed away a few months earlier and we just wanted to do something different so Thanksgiving wouldn't seem sad and awkward. We had a very enjoyable time at Fleming's and also some very good food. Juicy turkey and all the trimmings, even some left over that our waiter packed for us. The cocktails were excellent too (although the martini glass was a little bit on the small side). We also had the option of ordering from the regular menu, but we all were in the mood for traditional T-day fare. I recommend this place. We would go again. Thanks, Fleming's!
Three family members enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner. The service was wonderful. The time we chose included a bit more noise than other times but one member of our party had to travel for work the following day. It was a nice offering to have unique desserts rather than the usual Pumpkin or Pecan pie. I had the Pumpkin Cheesecake. I will recommend this occasion to others in the future. Previously, my financial planner held our quarterly meeting here.
