Fleming's Steakhouse - Radnor Ratings and Reviews
We took our son to Flemings to celebrate his 25 th Birhday. It was his choice of a location. Our waiter was very attentive and those who had steaks at our table, including my son, enjoyed them very much. My salmon was good, but for the high price tag, was unremarkable, and there's something odd about paying $44 for a piece of salmon there's not even a garnish on the plate. The sides we ordered were good, but small. Wonderful celebration for our son's birthday, with a ridiculously steep price tag.
Well, it was an epic fail from start to finish! We have been here quite a few times and have seen this particular Flemings go downhill. Tonight was the last straw. From bad... rancid... oysters, to sirloin that came almost cold, tasteless and not cooked to our ordered temp., we left hungry, aggravated and determined to never set foot in there again! In their defense, they consented to our request to not charge us for anything other than the bottle of wine. But we had to ask. It wasn't offered even though they were aware of the numerous issues. Our meals were obviously uneaten. My suggestion, if you are considering this for a special night or just an evening out, save your hard earned money and spend it elsewhere. Not worth the aggravation and sub or food.
It is always great to go back to a place where you truly enjoyed the atmosphere, food and wine and are pleased all over again; especially when this time you bought friends with you.
We now definitely have favorite sides or appetizers in calamari, onion rings and mushrooms.
None of the above...I order quality meat from Allen Brothers and Lobels and this was not my experience with prime..Bearnaise sauce tasted bottled and not on point with how bearnaise should taste.. two of the three steaks ordered were not cooked to the degree of rareness we had anticipated at this price $59 for a steak with no accompaniments I think there's no excuse for this kind of mistakes in the kitchen also we were in a side room that was somewhat ignored and had to look around for water and extra bread I have to say that the desserts were good but I don't come to Fleming steak house for dessert for the price I think you can do better elsewhere
This is a preferred steak house for my husband and we ate on Father's Day. The restaurant was jammed and tables are so close together you are up against the person behind you. Noise level deafening with open kitchen. They did not have the special menu item that was advertised in their email. I sent back a dirty wine glass and steak knife for replacement. The steaks and sides were quite good but the creme brulee was the worst I have ever eaten--overcooked rubbery room temperature custard with soggy sugar crust. I would have sent it back after one bite but the waitress was nowhere to be found, no wait staff in our section at all for long stretch. When she finally appeared it was to throw the check on the table while she sprinted away. Overall this is a good but expensive place for a quiet, empty weeknight or to eat cheaper food at the bar. Clearly kitchen and waitstaff can't manage a crowd.
I've been to this Flemmings no less than 10 times. This is the first time it was a miss. I ordered a glass of wine off the iPad tablet. I was told since it was not offered on the written menu by the glass they wouldn't honor it. The steak came out overcooked and the waitress agreed and took it back. However, she did say on more than one occasion that she was surprised the kitchen accepted it back without an issue. Just seemed like everything was a hassle. I hope this isn't a reflection of where this location is headed.
We had a wonderful experience on Saturday evening. My husband and I have dined there before for a very special occasion - our anniversary - but our friends had never been to this restaurant. They absolutely loved it - the drinks, wine, raw oysters, steak & chocolate lava cake for dessert! I think our friends will definitely be back.
Our service was wonderful also. I apologize by I can't remember our server's name but she was wonderful.
My business partner and I were here for a business related dinner. Overall the quality of the steaks were very good - great taste and cooked to perfection. The appetizers were solid (lettuce wedge and shrimp cocktail). On the negative, the side of asparagus was very underwhelming - small and expensive for what we received. The biggest disappointment of the evening was the per glass price of house wine. For a "big" pour we were charged $30 per glass which seems outrageous for a house wine. Service was OK but nothing special at all. The high price of the entrees was completed expected, the wine not so much. Fair or unfair, it did leave us with a negative feeling about the restaurant.
My boyfriend is a huge fan of the calamari and requested to dine here for his birthday solely for that purpose. Once again they're did not disappoint! I also had a very flavorful NY strip. Our waitress Nicole was phenomenal! She was friendly, personable, and provided overall outstanding service.
Excellent steakhouse close to Villanova University. Been there 4 or 5 times and the food is consistently very good to excellent. Occasional misses (bone-in filet, ribeye) offset by some great hits (mushroom ravioli, seared tuna, filet topped with crabmeat and bernais, prime aged New York strip sirloin). Food is 4 to 4.5 stars on average. My main critique relates to the borderline excessive markup on the food and wine. Wine is at least 3x and perhaps 4x retail for the most part. Steaks somewhat high priced already (mid $40s to mid $50s), with rubs and add-ons moving them into $50s to low $60's plus. Midtown NYC levels. Go in with eyes open and order the right steaks. I'll be back for sure.
Nice experience - our waiter Joe was knowledgeable and friendly and manager made us feel welcome. Food was fantastic - of course we expected a great steak but the fish was terrific also. They went above and beyond in making it an experience - not just a typical dinner out.
for a party of 5 it took 2.5 hours to be served on a Sunday night. The place was NOT full. it seems that the waiter was not trained well. the manager did try to make it right, but that was in the end when I was waiting to get the check. the food was good. I think I may go back, but truly concerned about the service
Have eaten at Flemings a few times but this one was a regret. Had a reservation to celebrate family members graduation from Villanova. Waiter tried to upsell more food and drinks the entire meal. It was EXTREMELY uncomfortable and felt very pushy. Ordered burrata to start.. received what looked like cottege cheese or ground egg whites. When the waiter asked about our food and I expressed my dislike about this "burrata," nothing was done on his part except declare that "yes that's burrata" .. not in my book but okay. Went on to push us to order lava cake and said we said we wanted it when no one ever did.. very awkward food wasn't even that great and prices reflect value in no way.
This restaurant has the best service team of any private or chain restaurant in suburban Philadelphia. They obviously train the entire staff extremely well from the bus people up to the head waiters and managers. My guests were very impressed with the service as was I. Everything else including the food was great too!
We had a group dinner in side room near wine rack to celebrate our son's college graduation. Service was terrific and prompt without hovering. The food was delicious and the chef made plates for both a vegetarian and a vegan diner and both were very pleased with the result. There was something for everyone. Desserts were also yummy.
We have celebrated several occasions at Flemings. Friday night we celebrated again. Great steaks. But one of us had salmon and got very ill overnight. Perhaps we should not order seafood at a steak house. His illness persisted the next day and dampened our graduation party. Disappointed with Flemings.
