Our reservation was for 8:30 PM and we were finally seated at 8:45 with no apology for the delay. Filet Mignon on the bone was tasty and good, baked potatoe was luke warm and old at best and for $12 a very poor value, if they are going to serve a tired old potatoe it should be included in the cost of the meal not to mention the wait for the dinner was 20-25 minutes which is enough time to prepare a fresh bake potatoe. The fried Brussel sprouts had been drowned in Balsamic vinegar and smelled and tasted sour - just plain poor, my wife's Lobster Mac and Cheese was bland and the lobster had a slightly fishy taste. The wait staff attitude was very good however the kitchen just did not deliver. This restaurant is charging very high prices for mediocre preparations.

We have been going to this Fleming's for about 20 years. It has always been great. This visit was very disappointing. My steak, bone in Rib Eye, had had the flavor and texture of an on sale 4.99 per pound Albertson's bone in Rib Eye steak. It was cooked charred and med rare as ordered. My Wife also ordered the bone in Rib Eye. She ordered her's charred and rare. It was delivered not charred and medium-medium rare, (the way another guest at the table ordered their steak),and was chewy. The other guest at our table ordered the dry aged New York. He ordered it on the medium side of medium rare and not charred. It was delivered charred and rare the way my wife ordered her steak and had no taste and chewy texture. They did comp the dry aged steak and 2 deserts. Our other two guests meals were just ok. The server, Amedeus was great! At this point we will not be returning to this Fleming's.

Fleming's is a very good restaurant. The ambience, food and service are great. The clientele is sad. People with no respect for themselves or others. They dress awful and many have unfortunate manners. If you can ignore the customers around you, it is a nice place for an excellent meal.

This was a special occasion, which was immediately recognized by the hostess, and all other service professionals. That means a lot, as I've put those notes on my reservations in the past and them overlooked at other restaurants. The food was more creative with flavor combinations than I expected. The steaks were cooked exactly to the proper temperature. Overall, the food was delicious! The service professionals were all very friendly and knowledgeable. I was very pleased with our dining experience! The only gripe is that it is EXTREMELY pricey. I am not one to complain about paying a lot for a good meal, especially when the food & service are up to snuff. However, it is really somewhat cost prohibitive, especially when my wife could have cooked probably up to 4 meals of comparable quality for the same price. That said, I was very satisfied. Nice job!

We went for our anniversary and were treated very special...a photo, a gift from the chef, some extras that were not asked for. The food was superb! Wonderful steaks, and yum, lobster mac and cheese. The wine list is quite impressive. But hands down, excellent service!!!
Overall, a great experience that I would enjoy again!

Short and to the point: I ordered a medium-rare filet mignon. What I received was a medium-well center with well done edges. They replaced my steak and also charged me for the replacement. Not only did I have to send my steak back, but I also had to send my bill back. With so many great options in Orange County, I think I will pass forever.

The seafood tower, steaks, and Caesar salad we ordered did not disappoint; the rib eye was excellent and more flavorful than the filet mignon - the ribeye could stand on its own with just the rub, but the filet needed a sauce. The recommendations of the waiter could have been a little more decisive -the sides we ordered (baked potato and Thai string beans were just so-so. The molten lava cake (for a birthday cake) was a complete disappointment - it came out luke warm with a cool filling - obviously they did not nuke it long enough in the microwave. it took the waitstaff quite a while to notice we weren't touching the dessert and then when they did check on us, they only offered to get a new lava cake to us. Then they offered to take the dessert off the bill but we had already accepted a new lava cake. The second one was a little better but I did not think it was worth the calories so I only ate two bites.

There's a reason Fleming's in Newport Beach continues to be one of OC's most popular restaurants. Consistency on all levels--ambiance, service, and food delivering a quality experience.
It can be on the noisy side so we always ask to sit in a booth behind the reception desk for two reasons: 1) you see all the action but it's a bit more quiet and 2) one of our favorite servers, Brian Coyne works that area. He delivers an amazing experience--friendly but professional and extremely knowledgeable.
We had the filet-lobster dinner which was incredible. Came with a small empanada starter and then choice of salad. Without ANY doubt, Fleming's has the best Wedge salad out there. Think it's the dressing. No one does it better. The filet was super tender and the lobster sweet. Like the broiled lemon and hot butter warmer. The food is delivered promptly and efficiently and just the right amount of sincere check-backs.
Highly recommend Fleming's in Newport Beach!

I have eaten at many steak houses across the US and a good friend recommended Flemings. I was very impressed. Everything was fabulous. The food presentation, food choices unique, service outstanding and atmosphere was perfect.

I used to be a fan of this restaurant but not so much any more. I think it has become a victim of its own success. The place is busy there is no doubt but the pace is frenetic and a good deal is of the atmosphere is from the staff. The waiter was over the top with efficiency, asking every few minutes how we were doing, moving our table items around, pouring water, wine, etc. asking us way too many times if we needed anything.
I like a leisurely meal when I can talk to my companions without being interrupted excessively. That was not the case the other night.
At one point the manager came over to ask us if we needed anything, moving our table items around, pouring our water and letting us know she was the manager with a very efficient smile.
At the end of dinner it was the same routine with the busboys, clearing items, pouring water, asking us if we needed anything else.
I know, having worked as waitstaff that it is important to turn tables as often as possible, but slow down guys, let your customers enjoy their meal.

Love, love,love...always dependable. Always excellent service, great food, great wine list. Always do a great job of making a special occasion just that. Being sent home with a box full of truffles and a card from Flemings expressing Congrats or Happy Birthday, makes this our "go to" spot for celebrations. Thank you Flemings! They are doing something right as it is always packed. Easy to make reservations on "Open Table" so that is never an issue though!

Greeted at the door by staff. We were seated promptly. Service was excellent through out the entire meal. Excellent Rib eye steak that was full of flavor and cooked to requested medium rare. One person had shrimp and scallops and said cooked perfectly.
Outstanding Steak house restaurant.

This was our first experience at Fleming's. Our meals were great with the exception of the temperature on one steak being well done when it should have been medium-well. However, just mentioning it to the waiter without really complaining because that really is not my style at all, he agreed and was actually a little appalled for us. He had the manager come right over who agreed as well that the steak was indeed overdone. They brought out a new one with their compliments and treated us to a chocolate lava cake. The food... YUM! We all enjoyed our steaks immensely. The bone in New York was phenomenal, the Thai green beans wonderful! The waiter... fantastic! He made great suggestions for us with both cocktails and meals. The manager... friendly and apologetic and a problem solver. We will definitely be back.

We are 45 yr. + residents of Newport Beach and our experience was fantastic in all ways. Great table, food, lively ambiance, packed and energetic and the service from our particular server was absolutely the best. This was a 20th anniversary for our son and his wife so it was special that we could have such a great experience for the 5 of us at dinner that evening. The restaurant is wonderful for us "locals" as well as those visiting our city for business or pleasure.....the high energy and great food and service can be equally enjoyed by all.

We had a great time celebrating our son and daughter-in-laws 15th wedding anniversary. The food and drinks were excellent . Our waiter was not very attentive. The manager for the area we were seated in filled in for the server and mad the night very enjoyable. We will return soon.

Flemings is our go to restaurant for anything beef. Five of us had the prime rib special and one, a vegetarian, was delights that the menu had a good selection of non meat items. The servers are great and the ambience is nice too. Overall one of our favorite restaurants.

The best service in our book! The servers and assistants were friendly and impressively attentive, efficient, and extremely professional. Although the restaurant was very busy and loud, our fabulous server maintained a calm manner, making us feel comfortable, unrushed, and absolutely important.
Their great promotion -- the 3-course prime rib dinner -- lured us in; their food and fine service have us longing to return.
