Fleming's Steakhouse - Denver Ratings and Reviews
Resservation was 30 minutes late! Would of had appetizer if given notice. We had the filet and lamb, both were excellent. For sides we shared the Asparagus and scallop potatoes both excellent and would serve three people easily. We all loved the house salad and warm bread with the two different butters. Too full to have dessert, but would go back! Great bar items if you wanted something smaller from 5-7. We will go back!
The food is great, we both had steaks and they were cooked just how we asked . We had the Fleming’s potatoes and chipotle Mac and cheese, both were really good. We ordered the portobello mushroom ravioli for our appetizer and it was soooo good! Our Barolo wine was great as well. So to summarize, we really enjoyed the food.
When we arrived for our reservation it was completely packed in the waiting area and bar area, so packed we had to stand by the restroom. We arrived 10 minutes prior to our reservation of 7:30 and didn’t get seated until 7:50. Despite waiting we were offered a glass a champagne which was a nice touch, but I suspect Fleming’s is over booking. If Fleming’s wants to remain known as a classy high end restaurant they should get the reservation system worked out. No one should have to stand by the restrooms or outside at a fine dining establishment. I realize that the night we went was 2 days after Valentines Day so I shouldn’t be picky, but we went to the same Fleming’s about 1 month prior and experienced the same crowding situation and long wait for our reservation (we arrived 5 minutes early for a 7pm reservation and weren’t seated until 7:40).
The overbooking leaves something to be desired, however the food is really great. Fix the booking issue and Fleming’s will remain a very nice restaurant.
This was by far the best meal we have had in a long time. Peter S was a very attentive waiter. Great wine knowledge and he checked on us often. The steak was prefectly cooked and seasoned. The salmon also perfectly cooked. The salads, corn and Flemmings potatos. Save room for carrot cake . We will be back and will request Peter as our server.
Good service but they didn’t make our order correct. We asked for no mushrooms on both of our dishes and the food came out with mushrooms and our server said let me go re-plate it and did so so by that time our food was gonna be cold and sure enough when she brought it back 2 minutes later it was cold..one of the managers with red hair asked how our meal was and I told her how it came out with mushrooms and then how the king crab legs were cold and she said oh ok I’m sorry and I’ll tell the chef and then walked away. She didn’t seem like she wanted to do anything like take anything off or give a discount or anything but it would have been nice if she did do something. Also to say it was our first time there and we don’t know if we will be back.
We always enjoy Fleming's Steakhouse. The service was excellent...attentive but not obtrusive. We were given great recommendations regarding wine and dining options. It goes with saying that all of the steak options are outstanding. The side dishes, however, also never disappoint and are all extremely good. This place knows how to make you feel special. A great place for a special occasion.
As always, Fleming’s doesn’t disappoint. The food is exceptional. Loved our waiter so much, Bennett, we will be requesting to have him again. Very personable and knowledgeable when asking specifics about how they cook steaks and his suggestions on the wine list. Great night!
The atmosphere was very inviting and cozy. I loved the décor. The carpaccio was very tender and delicious; however, it was drowned in horseradish! I am not a fan of horseradish. so I tried to scrap some of it off. That was ineffective; causing the carpaccio to be, ultimately, disappointing. They have a very different take on burrata; which was tasty as well. It was presented with prosciutto. That was a wonderful twist. I just wish there were more than two pieces of the prosciutto. The crostini was wonderful, too!! All in all, Flemings was worth the trip and I believe my husband and I will return. We will just need to ask for the carpaccio with the horseradish on the side! ;-)
Fleming’s is a favorite dining location of my friends and colleagues from Japan. For the first time ever. we were seated in the small separate dining room . Aside from the lovely wine cabinet, the room was devoid of ambiance.
Our waiter was pleasant but after our order disappeared for over 75% of the 2.5 hours we were at the restaurant. One of the hostesses or managers with dark hair and wearing a gray suit was thoughtful to approach most tables to quickly say hello and inquire about the food. She did not approach our table. I needed to flag her down to get her attention. Our server or busboy forgot bread and butter on our table. After we asked, it was brought to us in good time, and she must have surveyed the other diners because 5 more bread and butters were placed on other tables.
We did order the lava cake for dessert. I ordered coffee. Familiar with this dessert, I knew that it is served with a side of Chantilly cream. I specifically asked our waiter to bring the Chantilly cream with the coffee. He did not. It wasn’t until 15 minutes or longer that any waiter appeared in this dining room, and then we were served the lava cake and side of cream.
The check was put on the table immediately upon serving the dessert, which is terribly rude and unprofessional in a restaurant like Flemings, unlike a place like Salt Grass or Outback or a diner.
My opinion is that this service was mediocre, especially for a guest from Japan where service for most restaurant meals is practically an art.
I left a 20% tip on top of alcohol and tax because excluding the waiter, the bus boys worked diligently. We asked for a photo to be taken in front of the main bar, and one of the bus boys was most helpful and gave us a big smile.
Our valet attendant was thoughtful, gentlemanly and provided excellent service to us, and he works in the cold outside. When I handed our waiter the cc and valet parking stub, our waiter never said, “your vehicle will be warm and awaiting you.
I had dinner with my daughter (age 13). We gad a great time. The Filet Mignon was cooked perfectly. They have the absolute best burrata I have ever had - its always perfect! We also had the lava cake (order before your meal is finished - it takes 20 min and our server reminded us!)
Wife and I dined here for the first and last time. We are constantly disappointed in over priced steakhouses, and this restaurant is no exception. Everything is a la carte, with prices through the roof. Predictably, my over priced steak was barely edible, which is what I told the representative as she came to our table asking how everything tasted. To her credit, she was polite and offered me a replacement entree and said that they would not charge for my entree. A simple baked potato was a $12.00 add on. It is a sad commentary when the best part of the meal is the dessert and the coffee, both of which were excellent. They did provide us a gift card at the end of the meal for $25.00 on our next visit. We may only use it to stop at the bar for happy hour one day.
Flemings is very expensive--$50 to $60 a plate--which would be OK if the food was superb. However, the food on the night we visited was very mediocre, and all sides are an extra charge. We had a nice booth but the track lighting shone so brightly above us that it was distracting. The restaurant was crowded and the ambiance was that of a chain restaurant. The prime rib dinner on Sunday was a good choice, but it's only available on Sunday. The service was excellent.
Went for Sunday prime rib and it was delicious! Three-course meal includes choice of salad, prime rib with one side(served family style) and choice of desssert. So much great food and leftovers. Plus, we were celebrating my sister’s birthday. They did the best job of making her feel special. Above and beyond.
We just celebrated my husbands birthday last weekend. We were seated promptly at our reservation time. There was a birthday card on the table from the staff, they quickly took a couples photo and framed it! Our food was delicious! I was thoroughly impressed with their attention and making the night special for us! Great job Flemings!!
The food was very good and the service was great. Flemings gives you a card signed by the staff for special occasions which is a sweet touch. The restaurant is very loud so It isn't really a romantic restaurant but the steaks are delicious. Flemings has a great wine list. Overall Flemings is a little over priced. Steaks should come with potatoes at least then allow people to add sides.
