This evening we had one of the most delightful dinners we have had in a long time. Our waiter Roger he was the best. This was our 52nd Wedding Anniversary, the minute we walked in the door we were greater with congratulations on your 52nd. The steaks were done to perfection, the side dishes awesome. My husband and I can't wait to return.

The service at Fleming's made the meal for us. Our server was so nice and accommodating, and very personable. Although, I am not a steak eater, I had a salad with grilled chicken on top which had just enough flavor to make it more unique than a standard grilled chicken salad. My favorite part of steakhouses, not being a steak eater, the sides! Fleming's did not disappoint here either. My group got the french fries, green beans, asparagus and lobster mac and cheese. All were fantastic!

We have been frequenting Fleming's in DC Ranch, Scottsdale for over 12 years, and loved it. We have never had such poor slow service as we did this last time. Although the plates were hot, our steaks were lukewarm when they finally arrived. We had waited over 1/2 hour for our main dish. We suspect that our food was in a waiting zone for quite a bit of time. We are very disappointed and are reticent to recommend Fleming's to our friends and family after this experience.
We have decided to try Fleming's this trip out to Scottsdale and were quite pleased. The waitress was outstanding and very knowledgeable about menu items. the wine list goes on forever! Our steaks were perfectly done and the sides were delicious - make sure you try the Fleming Potatoes if you go. Nice and quiet ambiance as we were seated in a booth which was very nice. My only complaint is that the bus boys should have been a little more attentive. We asked for bread from 3 different ones and finally our waitress brought it over.
We will definitely go back here - and they have a great Prime Rib Special on Sunday night which was an added bonus to us because we did not know about it.
I should have gotten the steak
It was restaurant week. I had already gone to Mortons for their filet, so I decided to order the Seabass at Flemings. I was disappointed in the flavor of the fish. Flemings continues to be my "go to" restaurant for steak. I also send Flemings gift cards t o friends in Ohio each year. I'll be back soon, but for the steak!

Requested 2 vodka tonics, served on the rocks. Asked for tonic, received ginger ale in a rock glass, TWICE. 3rd time they got it right. Second round, same way. Asked for manager , comped first round, paid for second , what don't they get? Won't be returning, Capital Grill will be getting our business. Waiter too much of a hurry, said we all came at once, really? Not my problem, said he was overwhelmed , (Left for new job in Texas next day...)
Average at best
The Fleming salad looked like the leftovers from better salads. The dressing was nothing special and the cranberries and nuts were slim to none. My wife said her filet was quite good. I had the salmon which was average but heavily disguised with mushrooms and sauce. Mushrooms with steak seems OK, but with salmon? On the whole we both agreed that for a similar price there are better chain steakhouses out there. We would say it was average at best and low value for money with a $150 tab (before tip) for salad, entrees and a glass of wine each.

Extremely poor performance from the kitchen - filet was virtually burnt throughout (sent back), chicken overdone and dry, salmon overcooked. After sending filet back, waiter virtually ignored us - service essentially disappeared. Not the reaction you'd expect from a quality organization.

Even with a reservation we were sat on the patio which let like an alley extension of the bar area. The service was slow and lacking. Bread was not offered, side dishes delayed, appetizer forgotten. Server never inquired about the appropriate temp of our steaks which were undercooked. Quality did not match price on this trip.
MMMMmmmm, so good! We had a tasty dinner, enjoying two of the advertised specials--prime rib three course dinner for $29.99 and surf & turf for $49.99. Well worth the prices, as we had leftovers for the next night. All was delicious, especially the included lava cake.
